for more. Her hands slid down to his muscled cheeks as she tried to pull him deeper. “More,” she demanded. “Give me everything you have.”

His control snapped at her words. He pushed in deeper, his body yearning to pump hard and

deep. An obstruction brought him to an immediate halt as he stared down at her in shock. “You're a virgin?”

“It doesn't matter, Marrok,” she groaned, her eyes shut as moved underneath him. “Finish this.”

He was honored and humbled to discover his mate was a virgin, not to mention relieved that she had escaped that particular kind of horror in the research facility. The feelings he had for her overwhelmed him, his determination not to claim her fleeing in the face of being inside of her.

“Look at me,” he said, his voice deep and rough. Her blue eyes met his, dreamy from his

sensual onslaught. It was an emotional and awe-inspiring moment for him, with his body partially buried into hers as he promised her forever. “You're mine, Taylor,” he continued seriously. “No matter what happens, from this day forward, you will always be mine. Always and forever.”

He didn't wait for her to reply, not wanting to give her time to rebuke his claim. Taylor was

skittish, scared after the horrors she'd went through. He couldn't let her use that as a reason to push him away, though. Ivan was right. He had to take control of this. His mate needed his strength, needed the reassurance, even if she didn't realize it, yet. His words would bind them, even without her response.

The wolf inside of him felt relieved. Finally, after all these years, the connection was solidified.

Marrok trembled, struggling for control as she contracted deep within. “And I'm yours as well.

There will never be another woman for me but you. All that I am, and all that I will ever be, belongs to you now, Taylor. Sil n'zhoo,
now and forever
.” He told her he loved her in his native language, his voice thick with emotion.

The demands of his body increased, his control finally broken. Fire burned through his veins,

his body and mind seeking only one thing. Fulfillment. He smiled down at her, his powerful hips pumping gently. “Now I'm going to show you the benefits of being mine.”

“God, yes,” she groaned out, her nails digging into his muscular cheeks.

He leaned over and took her lips greedily before pumping deep. Her body stiffened as he slid all the way in, right to the mouth of her womb, before stilling to allow her body to adjust. He kissed her with every bit of pent-up passion he had stored in him, determined to make his possession as

pleasurable as possible.

She tore away from his mouth, arching up against him. “I'm okay,” she told him, breathlessly.

“Don't stop. I never dreamed it could be like this. Finish it, Marrok.”

Raising up on his palms, he set a steady pace. Taylor was swollen, her passage engorged. Once

they were done, it would be days before she could take his size again. He wanted to make this

incredible pleasure last as long as possible, but his body had other ideas.

His tempo increased, encouraged by the mewling sounds of pleasure underneath him. He

groaned, his cock twitching deep inside of her. Her passage drenched him, quivering as she neared completion. “That's it, baby,” he coaxed, wanting to soar with her at the same time. “I want to feel you orgasm while I'm deep inside of you, pouring my heat into this hot puss.”

“Yes,” she groaned out, her voice rising in pitch. “Now, Marrok, now.”

He pumped even faster, releasing the tight hold he had on the load of semen burning inside of

his cock. It exploded out of him in a rush, quickly soaking her insides. He saw stars from the sheer bliss, his orgasm unlike anything he'd ever experienced before.

Marrok kissed her passionately, while their bodies came down gently from the overpowering

high they'd just experienced.

Taylor opened her eyes, smiling up at him. Her expression was relaxed and peaceful, her cheeks pink. He smoothed her hair away from her forehead with his large hand before pressing a kiss against the smooth surface.

Slowly, he began to pull out. Now that the pleasure was over, he was sure her body was feeling the effects of his claiming. She tightened involuntarily when he eased his large head past her tender opening.

“Sorry,” he muttered, but he couldn't hide his smug smile of pleasure. Her body was completely his, having known no other man but him. He couldn't help the possessiveness and pride he felt inside.

Her virgin blood was smeared across her inner thighs, mixed with the seed of his release. Taylor was shy, and the sight of it would probably embarrass her. He stood up before reaching down to pick her up. Her blue eyes were focused on his still hardened shaft. She would soon learn that Marrok had a stamina beyond compare. “Let's take a swim,” he suggested, grinning as he lifted her easily.

He walked to the edge of the clearing. A path led down to the rocky lakefront. “I can walk,”

Taylor protested. “I don't want you to wear yourself out lugging me around.”

Marrok laughed as he walked down the hill. “Baby, it would take a lot more than you to ever

wear me out. At least, out of bed. As hot as you are, though, I have a feeling you're going to keep me pretty drained in it.”

She blushed but laughed sheepishly. “With a temptation like you, there's no telling.” Her

expression grew serious. “It's the only time I really feel human anymore.”

At his curious look, she tried to explain. “For years, all I've felt is numb. Nothing affected me on a human level, although I would get a twinge deep inside that I should have certain feelings about things that no longer affected me. Even now, I'm still numb a lot. Except when I'm with you. With you, I can feel again.”

“All the time?” he asked, trying to understand.

She shook her head, her face flaming. “When I'm aroused,” she replied softly.

He threw his head back and laughed. “Well, there is an easy solution to that.”

“What's that?”

“I'll just have to keep you aroused all the time. It's enough to nearly make me hate to see the mind-numbing go, though.”

“Why?”

He gave her an intense look as he walked into the water. Her body responded to the heat in his eyes, despite the draining sex they'd just had. He grinned wryly before saying, “Because once it's gone I won't have an excuse to keep you horny.”

With that, Marrok stepped into a deep area of the river, drenching them both.

* * * * *

The sun was low in the sky when Taylor noticed how late it was growing. The water had a

slight chill to it, despite the heat of the air. The earth knew fall was coming, even if it didn't feel like it outside of the water.

Marrok was swimming laps across the water, his muscular body taking him back and forth

quickly. Already the burn of her arousal had faded, leaving the empty feeling behind. In the distance, he waved at her, before disappearing underwater.

A minute went by, then another, but still he didn't resurface. “Marrok?” she called hesitantly, wrapping her hands across her breasts. The surface of the water was flat and undisturbed, at complete odds with the racing of her heart.

Spinning in a circle, she looked for him. He popped up, nearly all the way across the river.

Taylor stared at him with shock, amazed that he'd made it so far without breaking the surface for air.

“I'll be back in a moment,” he called out. She frowned as she heard him easily. His voice was as loud and clear as it would have been had he stood next to her.

Taylor lowered herself down into the water, deep in thought, as she watched him swim back.

Despite their passionate lovemaking, Marrok was full of energy. He wasn't the type of man that would ever tire easily. The wolf inside of him would never allow that. Her body trembled, remembering the bliss she had found in his arms.

He'd told her that he was hers. It had been an incredible moment, adding to the sensual spell he weaved unconsciously around her. In his arms, with his body buried within hers, she'd been tempted to throw caution to the wind and accept it all. Taylor couldn't, though.

Her fate wasn't to land this incredible man. Somewhere out there was his mate, a woman that

would day take her rightful place at his side. It was incredibly hard for her to live in the moment, knowing the man she loved would one day live for, and love, another woman. Taylor was nothing more than a pit stop, and the knowledge cut her deeply. It was a chilling thought, one that had no place in the beauty of their day.

She was sore in places she'd never been sore before, leaving her stiff and slightly

uncomfortable. Marrok stopped next to her, his hair wet and slick against his attractive, exotic features.

Pulling her to him, he kissed her deeply. “As much as I hate to, we need to head back.”

“I know,” she replied, softly. The afternoon had been idyllic, completely peaceful and perfect.

She hated to see it end, but knew it would have to sometime. The day had been surreal. It was a memory she'd treasure forever.

She followed him back to their stuff. He dried her off with the blanket before doing the same

himself. Her hair was still wet, but there was nothing she could do about it. It was too long to attempt to fix here. Marrok smiled at her as he helped her to redress and pack up the basket.

They pulled out of the clearing as the sun began its slow descent. The air was ripe, heavily

scented with the smell of fresh grass and pine. It was sealed in her memory forever. Here she'd lost her virginity and realized she was in love, happier than she could ever remember being.

What they'd started that night so long ago was completed, surpassing even her wildest fantasies.

It was a memory that would see her through the bleakest moments in the future. It was the one thing that nobody could take from her, not even Carlos. For a day, she'd felt wanted and needed, for the first time in her life.

Seated on the back of his bike, she twisted her head for one last look as they left it far behind.

Chapter 7

Taylor showered and dress, preparing for the wolf meeting that was scheduled to start in an

hour. Carole Anne had told her to dress nice, but slightly casual, so she was wearing a white shirt with a pair of khaki slacks. She left her hair free, but secured it on the sides with clips. A minimal application of makeup finished off her preparations. She hoped Marrok would approve.

He'd insisted on sleeping in the same bed with her, but otherwise, he'd been preoccupied. Her

body felt nearly back to normal from their day on the cliff, and it was hungry for his. The feeling must not have been reciprocated, though. He was kind to her, but distant. It was not the way she wanted to spend her last few days in Wolf Town.

The majority of the guests had arrived the night before, and Taylor was stunned by the sheer

number of werewolves packed into Wolf Town. Some had arrived by car, while others had rolled in driving RVs. She'd skipped eating dinner at the restaurant. It was packed to the brim, with a line of people waiting outside. After her experience in Hell's Pit, she didn't do crowds well. She doubted she ever would again.

The next full moon was quickly approaching, and Taylor wanted to be long gone by then.

Carole Anne had shared a lot about werewolves with her, and she knew it would be a vulnerable time.

The moon all but forced the change, leaving the people here open to attack.

Her eyes met her reflection in the mirror, her expression determined. No matter how much she

might wish to stay, she would not put these innocent people at risk. It might have been different had she been Marrok's mate, but she wasn't.

Somewhere out there was a woman that would one day be arriving to claim him as her own. It

was best to end it now, instead of waiting and placing Marrok in the terrible position of sending her away. When it came to mates there was no choice, and it would be a humiliating experience for her should she delay.

The front door opened, pulling her from her thoughts. Turning off the light, she quietly made

her way to the living room. Marrok was undoing his boots, but he smiled softly when he saw her. “Hi Taylor,” he said quietly, as he pulled them off. “How has your day been?”

“Good,” she replied, pleasantly. “And yours?”

“Tiring,” he declared, emphatically. “The crowds are overwhelming, and Mr. Davies is having a

hell of a time keeping his restaurant stocked with food. Werewolves have triple the appetites of the average human. I haven't been able to make it inside his doors all day.”

He chuckled mischievously. “I've heard that Connor has been pulled into kitchen duty. Serves

him right. Maybe it will keep him out of trouble.”

Taylor smiled, her hungry eyes devouring him. He looked lighthearted and handsome when he

referred to the other man. His love/hate relationship with Connor was common knowledge throughout Wolf Town.

Connor's name was associated with several other ones such as “pain in the ass” or “asshole”,

although it was often said affectionately. His pranks and manipulations for his own amusements were notorious, but as irritating as the others found him, they respected him a lot.

“I haven't ate either,” she replied, ill at ease. Although the refrigerator was stocked with food, she wasn't much of a cook. Before her captivity, she'd been too busy with school or work to ever really learn. Now, she just ate simple or at the restaurant. “Would you like me to make you some

sandwiches?”

Marrok smiled, staring at her for a long moment. “That would be great. I'm going to take a

shower, but I'll join you shortly.”

She nodded, moving past him to walk into the kitchen. He quickly grabbed her and spun her

around, her face instantly tilting up to his. His lips met hers passionately as her arms slid around his neck to pull him close.

The simmering heat inside of her burst into flames, burning away the lingering doubts she had
