But before Emily left, Sarah had to
share something with her. Something important that Sarah had no
idea how to handle on her own.

What's wrong?” Emily
stopped packing and sat on the bed next to her. “You've been so
down lately. Even talking on the phone, I could tell something's
bothering you. Will you finally tell me what's going
on?”

This was it, the moment she’d dreaded.
She had to tell Emily, because this was big and they'd always
shared everything together. The ups and downs, highs and lows, the
good and the bad. She would need Emily's support. She didn't know
where else to turn. She didn't know what to do.

Sarah took a deep breath. “I'm
pregnant.”

Emily simply stared at her for a
moment. Then she leaned in and hugged her tight. “When did you find
out?”

A couple weeks ago,”
Sarah said. “But I wanted to tell you in person.”

Emily pulled back. “Are you going to
tell Charles? That cheating, lying bastard doesn't deserve to be
part of the baby's life. Or yours.”

Sarah swallowed. This was the hardest
part.

It's not Charles’ baby,”
she said. “It's Bo Branson's.”
