Read OUT OF THE DARKNESS (THE PRESCOTT SERIES) Online
Authors: B. J. McMinn
They hit the ground with a hard, bone-jarring, thud. Instead of taking the brunt of the fall, as planned, he landed on top of the kid.
Stunned, the air knocked out of them, neither moved for breathless seconds.
All at once, the kid came alive, kicking and punching. Unprepared for the boy’s onslaught
of thrashing limbs and fists, he grunted in pain, when the brat landed a solid right hand to his eye. He snatched both the kid’s wrists and held them over his head. Throwing one long leg over the boy’s flailing legs stopped his thrashing about. During their struggle, the brat’s hat fell to the ground.
“Well now, what have we got here?” A soft thread of amusement laced with desire, made his voice husky.
His smile widened as he looked at what lay beneath him.
