"Michelle, what have I told you about butting in?" Michelle frowned knowing this was going to be hard. Diego always told her she shouldn’t intrude in their life. A smile broke out when an idea hit. She was nothing if not resourceful in finding ways to get her way.

"Diego, every year I get one wish from you as my birthday gift. Every year I ask you to donate money to the orphanage were our babies lived. This year, my wish is for you to help me." Michelle asks knowing full well he couldn’t say no.  Her suspicions were confirmed when his face went beet red. Yes, she had made a home run, touchdown, GOOOOOAL.......

"That is dirty play Michelle. You’re being a bad girl and for that, you will be punished tonight." Diego warned her and his words had the power to heat her body from the inside out. "For now, I will hear your plan. The rest will have to wait until I get you home."

"Eeep," Michelle whimpered when Diego gave her a wicked smile. Yet she toughed up and went over the plan. She had listed what girl she wanted with what boy and which friend would help. Diego started scratching his head. He seemed to always do it when he was in deep thought. So Michelle just sat back enjoying her food while he thought.

They finished their meal and decided to skip the usual movie in favor of home. Diego rubbed her thigh during the car ride, each stroke ignited her passion. When he opened the door to the house he held it open for her.

Yet her waist was gripped as Diego kicked the door shut. Michelle felt her body hit the wall at the same time his mouth claimed hers. She felt faint as he robbed her of air. The feeling was replaced in a flash when she heard a roaring round of, "Eeeeewwww", "That is sick", "Damn get a room", "Oh shit you still do that?"

Michelle was mortified until it sank in. "My babies!!!" She screamed as she pushed Diego off of her. He laughed then followed behind her as they each embraced their children. "You guys came home early; I love you all for doing that. This is the best birthday ever."

"Well we’re going to have to gauge our eyes out, after what we saw." Jed said teasingly. It was only then that Michelle realized her son had not risen from his seated position.

"Hijo estas bien?" She asked and walked over to make sure he was ok. The ice pack on his knee made her worry. She placed her hand on his cheek. "How bad is it?" came the soft question.

"I won't know until the swelling goes down." Jed answers but the look on his face reminded her of a lost puppy.  Her baby Jed needed her. "Well we will tackle this together baby boy." She assures him and wraps him in her arms.  Now she was certain that her babies needed a good woman in their life. He had been suffering alone, but mama is on the case now. Yes, this will be a success, of that she was sure. "Ok my boys, Jed has confessed, now whose next?" Michelle ask and one by one they caught their parents up on their lives.

Chapter Three

They spent the better part of the night catching mom and dad up on what they’d been doing. Well you know, only the things they should know. Jed smirked as he thought about all the wicked things that would probably have his mom kicking his ass. When a wince escaped, his mother elevated his leg and it seemed to have helped. The swelling started to subside.

She was his typical mom; fussing all over him. Apparently after sneaking away for a couple of seconds, he now had an appointment to see the daughter of her best friend tomorrow. Wow, he hadn’t realized that the girls would be all grown up too. When they were small his mom had formed a strong bond with five women that were a little older than her. Not by a lot, but still, they all had daughters, if memory serves him right.

It had been a pain in the ass when they were growing up and the girls were there. If he remembered correctly they were skinny, homely, and would love to follow them around. He and his brothers had been too much in their own world at the time; only thinking of sports and cheerleaders to even pay attention.  He remembered that after a while the girls just stopped coming with their moms. Not that it mattered anyway.

Jed had been so busy in his little flash back. He missed when his father asked who was going to the shop with him tomorrow. Shit, they had done the not it game and now Jed was stuck with being it. “So Jed my boy, seems you will be joining me at work tomorrow. Your brothers bailed before you said anything.” His father said smiling down at him knowing full well he had lost the game.

Jed looked around and they all wore innocent expressions on their faces. “Mom said I was going to go see a doctor tomorrow.” Jed told his father now more than happy about the doctor’s visit. He was well aware that he was jumping from the frying pan into the fire but, oh well. His father was always trying to get him to join the family business. Now that he was hurt his father would push him more now.

“Make Sergio go with you dad. It’ll be like you still have me there with you.” Jed smirked using the twin thing to his advantage. Sergio grunted then kicked out the pillow under his knee causing Jed to howl in pain.

Their mother came and hit Sergio in the back of the head. “Sergio, stop hurting your brother.” She reprimanded then smiled sweetly at him. “It’s a good idea, you can go with your father tomorrow. You can see how big the shop is now and you’ll be surprised when you see who’s managing the place,” Mom still smiled sweetly at Sergio, for some reason that made Jed’s skin crawl.

He wasn’t sure if it was the pain or the look in her eyes. “Well my lovely boys, your father and I are off to bed. We’ll see you in the morning. There will be a family breakfast and we can decide what the agenda will be.” She kissed them all and dad just made a face as if he felt pity for us. What did the old lady have planned now?

After his parents left the room Jed made sure they were out of hearing range. “Guys, something’s up here. Mom is sending out a creepy vibe.” They all nodded in agreement and made a pact to watch each other’s backs.

They all laugh when Grady looked at Jed then at Sergio. “Wonder twin powers activate.” He said laughing making Jed throw a pillow from the couch at him. “That never gets old,” Grady said as he gasped for air.

“Mark my words, brother, keep your eyes peeled.” Jed said picking up another beer. “I know this lady as if she was my very own mom.” That just started the laughter all over again. “Damn, we should stop drinking and get some rest. Seems she has an agenda for us all tomorrow.”

Victor wasn’t ready to let them all go yet…..

“No, not yet I have big news,” He said and they all huddle around him so they could stay quiet. “I am checking out the Chicago Fire tomorrow. They want me, the coach said since I was here, I should check them out.”

There is no way Victor would admit that there was a woman who tempted him enough to even think of moving back. Yet the happy feeling he got in this house made him smile. Once again it felt like the day they first arrived. He had been the baby of the group so everyone always pampered him.

“So are you going to do it?” Roger asked with curiosity.

“It’s a killer opportunity, don’t you think?” Victor asked them all and they agreed.

“Does anyone else have an. I don’t want the parents to know yet story? Victor asked as he got a beer and a slice of cold pizza.

After talking for another hour, they headed to bed.

The next morning Michelle woke up extra early feeling refreshed and excited to cook for her family. A smile lite her face as she glanced over at a still sleeping Diego. “I love you so much.” She whispered and placed a kiss on his lips. He was so sweet and loving last night. Well, that was until he put the damn pillow on her face to keep the noises down. Laughter bubbled up at the memory.

“It is a woman thinking wicked thoughts. That causes laughter to flow so freely.” Diego commented as he flipped her under him. After kissing her nose he nuzzled her neck. “I love to hear that deep throaty laugh of yours.” He said as he jumped off the bed. “Come on woman, we will have five ravenous men joining us for breakfast. I think you will need help cooking.”

“Damn, how can I not love a man who cooks and has a killer body? You’re sexy when you’re naked.” She tells Diego as her hand smacks his rump. He started to shake it for her making her giggle.

Once in the kitchen, they cooked up a storm. They made Pancakes which were Rogers’s favorite. French toast were Jed and Sergio’s’ favorite. Eggs with bacon made Grady happy. Then Chorizo with eggs and Chilaquiles for Victor and Diego. Michelle liked a little of everything. That’s why she didn’t mind cooking it all.

They set the table and little by little they all flocked into the dining room. “Oh man mom, this looks wonderful.” Grady said as he was the first to show up.

“Hey it wasn’t just your mom cooking, your old man helped too.” He reported as everyone else showed up. “Now eat up because we have to head for the garage soon Sergio,” Diego tells him as they all sat down.

The conversation over breakfast was lovely as the boys teased each other like old times. Michelle loved having her boys all together at home once more. While they washed up she took a moment to call Gloria. Michelle needed to verify that her appointment with her daughter Alexis was still on for that morning. She liked little Alexis and thought she would be perfect for her Sergio.

She was a caring and strong woman. Michelle was hoping to get Jed’s opinion on her. She wanted to see if he thought Sergio might be attracted to her. Gloria confirmed that their appointment was set for 10am in her office. It was currently 9am so they would have to get there fast. Alexis is a physical therapist in sports medicine. So she will heal her boy, Michelle was sure of it.

While getting ready Diego and Sergio came to kiss her goodbye. So did the other boys as they left. “Come on my little Jed.” She said holding out his cane.

“Mom, stop treating me like a child.” Michelle smiled at him since his words said one thing, but she knew better. They made their way to her car because there was no way she was riding his death machine. It wasn’t that she didn’t like motorcycles. Truth be told, she has one herself. Diego and she have taken trips together, each one on their own bike. She was just in love with her chopper.

When they arrived at Alexis’s office, she helped him inside. The receptionist gave him the forms to fill out and they talked and waited. It didn’t’ take long for them to be called in. “There’s my little Alexis. I have brought you my son, so you can heal him,” Michelle tells her.

“Mrs. Diaz, it’s always a pleasure to see you. Now what seems to be the problem?” Alexis asked with a smile. Jed took over and explained what the team doctor had told him. Michelle watched as Alexis poked and prodded. They took some x-rays along with a list of other things. He looked worried but tried to hide it. They were deep in conversation when she called them back in.

“There is still a great amount of swelling. Once it goes down, we will recheck it. I‘m sure I know what the problem is, but I won’t give you false hope until the swelling subsides. For now, I will give you a cortisone shot. It will lessen the swelling and the pain. I’ll see you in three days and we’ll know by then.”

When they left and Jed asked her to drop him off at the garage. Michelle was sure he wanted to earn some points with his father.

~*~*~*~*~*~

After being dropped off by his mother. Jed walked into the garage, feeling surprisingly less pain in his knee already. The doctor had been really hot and he wondered whose daughter she was. He walked past a car and noticed someone was underneath. He looked around and didn’t see his dad or Sergio. His mother was right; this place was huge and he had no idea where dad would be.

After walking around, he went back to the person under the car and kicked his boot. “Hey grease monkey, do you know where your boss is?” Jed asked.

The creeper seemed to move back in slow motion as it revealed a tapered waist and some killer breasts. Jed was holding his breath until he saw the face that belonged to that body. Oh shit, she looked hot but pissed off as hell. “Oh hell no! The two of you are here now!” She said in an angry voice.

“What?” Jed asked sounding really stupid.

“First of all smart ass, I am not a grease monkey. Second of all, stop looking at me like that. Third of all, do you see that sign over there that reads; office? He’s in there.” She said through gritted teeth and leaned against the car.

Smiling apologetically, he let the charm flow. “Listen, I’m sorry about that, my name is Jed Diaz. It’s nice to meet you. I’m guessing you already met my brother Sergio?”

“Yes, he was another jerk who said. What the hell, a chick is managing the garage. I don’t know what your stories are, but I know Michelle taught you manners.” The woman sneered. Oh man, she was truly a little spit fire. Jed likes that in a woman. Just then his father came out of the office and walked towards them. As he approached, Jed saw the way the woman’s smile lit up her face. The look made his stomach tighten. Why hadn’t she smile at him like that?

“Jed, you came son. I see you found Rose, isn’t she the best?” His father asked seeming very happy. Jed turned to look at Sergio who was glaring at her and she was glaring right back at him. Then Jed turned to look at her and she glared right back at him too. What the hell was going on here?
