"What secret weapon?" I asked in confusion.

"You," he said as I watched him being awarded third place on the score board.

"Want a go?" He said, smiling at me.

"Of course," I replied as I grabbed the other
Wii
remote that was lying on the table.

"Better pick the easy level," he said as he burst out laughing.

"Oh is that so,
Mr

fall off of the track every two minutes

," I said as I raised my eyebrow
s
at him and began to smile.

"That's because I was distracted but you can't actually beat me," he said as he started clicking a few buttons on the
Wii
remote.

"Remember, don't cry when I do," I said as I slipped my remote into the wheel.

"Ok, beautiful, whatever you say. This sounds like
deju
vu. Remember charades?" He said with a big smirk on his face.

"Whatever you say
baby
," I said sarcastically as I prepared to concentrate.

* * *

"
Wohhhhhhh
!
Who's your daddy now?
" I said as my car passed the finish line first.

"Ok, ok, you won," he said with a smile on his face.

"Who's your daddy now?" He asked as he burst out laughing again.

"I can't help it, I get excited when I win," I said as a smile filled my face.

"Yeah I noticed,
I thought you would have grown out of that by now,
" he said as he turned off the
Wii
and TV
,
and I placed the
Wii
remotes back on the table.

"So,
do you
want your prize?" He said as he began smiling at me.

“Prize?”
I asked in a confused tone.

“For winning,” he said with a smirk on his face.

"Depends on the prize?" I asked as I began to smirk.

"Come over here and you'll find out," he said as he continued to stare at me with that sexy smile on his lips.

"Guys come on! We'v
e got school or did you forget?
" Crystal shouted through the living room door.

"So
,
what were you playing?" Crystal asked as we all finally got into the car.

"Mario cart," I said with an excited voice.

"
Awww
did Aide
n get his butt kicked by a girl?
" Crystal teased as she looked back at me and laughed.

"How do you know that she won?" Aiden asked as he threw me a smile in the rear view mirror.

"Because she's the only person I know that screams

who's your daddy now

at the top of her voice when she wins something," she said as we all burst out laughing.

"I got excited," I said as I clipped my seatbelt in. I almost always forget to do it straight away.

"Yeah well I think the whole neighbourhood heard you," she replied.

“Yeah, yeah,” I said as I smiled to myself at the back of the car.

"So, you know that I
want to talk to Cameron tonight?
" Aiden said, suddenly changing the subject.

"Why?" Crystal asked in a frustrated voice.

"Me and Ant are just going to lay down some rules for him," he said in a serious tone.

"What?
Anthony as well?
Are you kidding me? Are you trying to scare him away?" Crystal asked in an angry voice.

"No but I just want to make a few things clear for him before he takes out my little sister," he replied.

"
Err and who the hell does that?
How many girl's brothers did that to you?"

"None but I wouldn't have gotten away with so much if they had done," he replied as my cheeks began to go red.

"Obviously I've matured now though," he said as he caught my gaze in the rear view mirror again.

"Well whatever, just don't embarrass me," she said as he pulled up at Janeson High.

"I'll do my best," he replied.

"Whatever!" She said as she opened the car door and jumped out.

"I've got to go to the office.
I'll meet you in homeroom
,
ok?" She said as she leaned back into the car, towards me.

"I can come with you," I said.

"No, it's cool, I'll just meet you there, don't worry," she said before smiling and running off towards the entrance.

"You're really going to talk to Cameron?" I asked as I leant forward.

"Yeah, I just want to make sure that he treats her right," he said as he turned to face me.

"Maybe if I had done the same last night all of that wouldn't have happened," he said as he glanced down at my wrist.

"It’s not your
fault," I replied in a low voice.

Every time
that
I thought about what happened with Jake it made me feel kind of sad.

"You ok?" He asked as his hand gently lifted my chin.

"Yeah," I said as I forced a smile onto my lips.

"So
,
tonight," he said as a smile filled his face.

"Tonight?"
I asked in confusion.

"Yeah, Crysta
l's going on her date isn't she," h
e said.

"Yeah, I know," I said as I wondered why he was pointing out the obvious.

"So
,
that means that we have the house to ourselves," he said as he smiled at me.

"
Ohhhh
, yeah I forgot about that," I said as a tingle went through my entire body.

Was it possible to be both excited and nervous at the same time?

Well I was.

"Well, I have a surprise for you," he said.

"What surprise?" I asked as a smile spread across my lips again.

"Now, it wouldn't be a surprise if I told you would it?" He said as he looked me in the eyes.

"Yeah but now I really want to know," I moaned as I fluttered my eyelashes at him.

"No, I thought I already told you, your puppy dog eyes don't work on me beautiful," he said as he let out a little laugh.

"Now, I really got to go because trying not to kiss you is getting harder by the minute," he said as his eyes glanced down at my lips.

I laughed, bit my lip and then got out the car.

"Have a good day," I said as I began to walk away.

"You too," he said as he leaned against the car and watched me walk away.

There go the butterflies again.

It was so hard to stop myself from
turning back around to look
at Aiden but somehow I had managed. It was the low vi
bration of my phone that interrupted my thoughts
. A smile filled my face as I wondered what Aiden had to say now. As I slipped my phone out of my pocket and looked at the screen, my stomach dropped and a feeling of sickness came over me.

It was Jake.

What the hell did he want?

As I stared down at the screen of my cell and read Jake's name for the fifth time, I could feel the pit of my stomach bubbling. I hated that I felt this way but I just couldn't help it. I didn't want Aiden to pick up on my sudden change in mood as he watched me walk away so I quickly slipped my phone back into my pocket and headed towards Janeson High's entrance.

I let out a deep breath as I slipped through the doors and headed towards the restrooms. As I quickly made my way there with my eyes fixated on the ground, I felt like everything around me had been heightened. Everyone seemed to
be
moving faster, making more noise and staring at me.

I wasn't sure if it was real or just in my mind.

"Sorry," I heard a tall, thin, dark haired boy say as he accidently bumped into me on his way to wherever he was going. He looked at me in the strangest way as he continued to head in the opposite direction. I really needed to get a grip and stop being so jumpy. I
had about seven minutes till the bell would go, hopefully that would give me enough time to compose myself.

As I approached the girl's restroom and lifted my hand to the handle, I was suddenly interrupted.

"Hey, I've been calling you," Jess said as she rested her hand on my shoulder.

"Oh, sorry, I didn't hear you. You ok?" I asked as I tried to avoid eye contact with her.

"Yeah I'm fine thanks, you?"

"Yeah, I'm good, just need to go to the toilet, I'll catch you up," I said as I turned the restroom handle and began to make my way in.

"Oh, no need, we've got plenty of time, I'll wait for you," she said in a chirpy voice.

Great, I really needed to sort myself out.

"So," I heard Jess begin as I
shut the toilet
door, sat on the closed toilet seat and placed my head in my hands.

"Are you going to Murphy's party on Saturday? I hear it's going
to be really good, I think that nearly
everyone from school is going," she said excitedly.

"Yeah, I should be," I replied.

"Well don't sound too enthusiastic," she said
, sarcastically
.

"Sorry, I think I'm just tired," I replied as I tried to hold back the tears that were threatening to escape from my eyes.
