“Don’t move,” he said, giving her ass a little smack before he backed away. “And don’t peek.”

She heard the drawer of the bedside table open and close with a gentle thud. She imagined he’d grabbed the bottle of lubrication he kept in the drawer, but there were also a number of toys he kept there.

Even more liquid heat pooled between her legs and she was sure her pussy must be dripping with anticipation now.

A squeeze of the bottle gave away the lube, but what was he rubbing down? She licked her lips and braced for the onslaught of sensations.

Without warning, Alec thrust his cock into her pussy. She was so wet he met no resistance and she cried out from the shear ecstasy of the invasion. He felt so good, hard and hot inside her and he pounded into her like he owned her.

After a few thrusts he slowed, his thumb circling the tight opening of her ass.

“Yes,” she pleaded, needing the pressure of his finger inside her. He continued to move in slow pulses and she tried to ram her hips back to take him into her ass and deeper into her pussy, but his other hand held her hip firmly. He teased her for too long, but when she finally felt the pressure of the new invasion, she realized it wasn’t his finger.

She pushed back, gasping at the fullness of the double penetration. The sex toy was familiar, but Alec didn’t use it often. As much as she enjoyed the double penetration, it was almost as though he reserved it for special occasions or times of desperate need. Tonight definitely qualified as desperate.

“Faster,” she demanded, loving the sensation of being stretched and filled so completely.

Alec answered with a chuckle. “My little vixen. So demanding. You need to learn patience.”

She wasn’t patient, not when it came to fucking Alec and especially not when she was feeling so anxious. “You feel so good. I want more.”

He changed up the rhythm so his cock was moving in tandem with the toy, a glorious rhythm of one going in and the other pulling out.

“Holy fuck, you’re so tight like this,” he groaned.

He gripped her hips, his fingers digging into her skin. The bite of pain was arousing, especially as Alec’s breath was stifled with grunts and curses – all obvious signs his control was waning. There was nothing hotter than when Alec Winter lost control.

The man was a multi-tasking genius. His free hand released her hip only to rub her sensitive clit. She was on sensation overload and the orgasm hit her like an avalanche of ecstasy.

“Alec, oh, fuck yes!”

The orgasm cascaded through her like a musical storm. She cried out, the waves a crescendo in the symphony of ecstasy, starting with the smallest pulse and building to the epic climax. Alec played her like a maestro, every nerve ending singing in perfect harmony, her entire body as taut as the strings of a violin.

When the pleasure receded, leaving her feeling like putty in its wake, she slowly lowered herself to the mattress.

Alec withdrew from her, first the toy, then his cock and even though she melted into the bed in utter bliss, she missed the sensation of being filled by him.

“You didn’t come,” she said when he returned from the bathroom and put the cleaned up toy back in the drawer.

“I don’t need to. That was fucking hot.”

He had come a couple times already, but Jenna didn’t want to end the night without Alec having his pleasure as well. “Are you sure you don’t want to come? I can go a little longer.”

“I’m spent, Jenna. If you’re finally satisfied enough to go to sleep, I suggest that’s what we do.”

“Have you told Alec?” Gavin Hastings asked from the other side of the conference table. He was tall and handsome, like Alec, but Gavin had a more casual demeanor. He wore his tie loose, the top button of his shirt open and sleeves rolled. Leaning back in the chair, he looked more like he was taking in a movie than conducting a job interview. Given how relaxed he appeared, Jenna was surprised he didn’t have his feet up on the shiny table.

“No. I’d prefer you not say anything either.”

Gavin chuckled as he shook his head. “I thought you were smarter than that.”

Jenna played dumb. “Smarter than what?”

“Alec doesn’t like secrets. He’s going to be pissed when he finds out.” Jenna was sure Gavin knew she and Alec were sleeping together. They were best friends, after all, and four months ago, when Jenna and Alec had resumed their secret affair after a two-month hiatus, Gavin, the vice president of programs at Logicesse Software, started looking at Jenna with a knowing expression.

Jenna had never asked Alec if Gavin knew. She regretted that now. Confirmation of what Gavin knew or didn’t know might have been good information to have coming into this interview. Of course, an inquiry would make Alec suspicious and if he’d known about the interview, he would have hijacked it.

“He also isn’t going to be supportive of me leaving software development. You know as well as I do he’ll run interference. If you want me for the position, Gavin, then Alec doesn’t need to know until it’s final.” Jenna didn’t know if she had the job, but she preferred to err on the side of confidence. Three others had interviewed and Gavin had told her she was the final candidate.

Gavin was much larger than Alec, his broad shoulders and thick arms evidence of the linebacker he’d been in college. If he had to go up against Alec physically, Gavin would win, but she doubted the two men faced off like that. Alec’s temper rivaled that of an angry grizzly, but somehow Gavin was always able to talk him down. “I’m going to catch hell for this, too.”

Chapter 2

“Does that mean I have the job?” Jenna didn’t even try to hide the excitement in her voice.

Gavin’s smile was warm and friendly. “Unofficially, yes. I have to work with HR to extend you a formal offer, but as of right now, there’s no one else I want as the director of training.”

Smiling, she thought about the roller coaster she’d been on the past six weeks while looking for a new job. She couldn’t work for Alec anymore. When she’d first started sleeping with him, she’d thought it would be a short-term thing. After all, it’d been a game with them. Now Jenna wanted more. The game had ended months ago, their relationship becoming intimate beyond just the sex. She was going to ask Alec for more, but she couldn’t do that as long as he was her boss. If Alec denied her, there was no way she could continue to work for him. That’s why she’d been working on an exit strategy.

“When can I expect the offer?” she asked.

“Probably tomorrow but I can’t make it official until Alec knows. It’s company policy.”

“I’ll tell him.” Later. Much later. Like after she’d fucked him into submission. Although she wasn’t even sure that would tame his temper.

Gavin pushed back from the table, prompting Jenna to stand too. They’d been in there for nearly an hour, long enough to likely stir Alec’s suspicion. He didn’t micromanage his team, but he did like to know where they were and what they were doing. Jenna’s undocumented absence would also likely poke at his temper.

“I’m looking forward to bringing you on board, Jenna. No one is better qualified to run the training department than you.”

She appreciated the praise. It wasn’t something she thrived on, but Alec was the kind of boss who left you alone when you were doing a good job. He only offered praise in extreme situations.

As they exited the room, Jenna nearly started as she came face to face with Alec. He was carrying his laptop, obviously on his way to a meeting.

“Jenna, Gavin. What’s going on?” he demanded, his signature possessiveness deepening his tone.

Jenna had learned four months ago that Alec Winter was a jealous man. She wasn’t sure if that insecurity extended to his best friend, but if the suspicion on his face and anger in his voice were any clue, Alec didn’t trust any man with Jenna.

“Alec, my man,” Gavin said, patting Alec on the shoulder. “Sox are playing the Yanks tonight. Wanna catch the game at McCabe’s?” Jenna nearly laughed at Gavin’s attempt to change the subject. He likely knew it was fruitless, which made the attempt all the more amusing.

“What were you two doing in there?”

“Having a meeting.” Jenna’s vague response was deliberate. She loved stoking his fire by answering questions with the most obvious answer. He’d punish her later for her insolence. It gave Jenna something to look forward to.

“A meeting about what?”

The hall filled with people, obviously on their way to the same meeting as Alec. Jenna and Gavin moved out from the door to allow everyone to enter.

“Looks like you have a meeting.” She wouldn’t be able to dodge the bullet forever, but she’d take whatever reprieve she could find.

She brushed by Alec, feeling the heat of his temper seep into her. She wasn’t sure why his jealousy was such a turn on, but she found herself imagining Alec barking orders for everyone to clear the conference room - except for Jenna, of course - and taking her right on the polished mahogany table.

Before she turned toward her cube, Gavin stopped her. “You need to tell him sooner rather than later.” She didn’t miss the warning in his voice. He was right. Jenna needed to come up with a plan.

When she returned to her desk, she checked Alec’s calendar. His schedule was blocked for the next two hours with meetings. Conveniently, she had back to back meetings after lunch, so she was free and clear of his interrogation until mid-afternoon. She should prep for those meetings, but she couldn’t stop thinking about her new job. She’d been out of the training field for over four years but she’d maintained her memberships with a couple professional training organizations and had stayed on top of trends and emerging methods. Being a project manager had been a challenge she’d welcomed and loved, but training was her first true love. She was excited to be able to put all of her skills to work as the director of training.

More than that, she’d be able to have an open relationship with Alec, which was the bigger motivator. She loved the intimacy they shared even outside the bedroom, but it wasn’t enough. Driving two hours just to have dinner at a restaurant had gotten old. Jenna wanted the simple things, like having coffee on a Sunday morning in Hanover or hitting a pub on a Friday night for a few drinks. They couldn’t do that now for risk of being seen by their colleagues. It wouldn’t take long for the news to get back to Candace Pelack and the VP of human resources had already warned them to stay away from each other. Alec had nearly been fired when they’d been caught months ago.

Jenna’s email sounded and she laughed at seeing the appointment from Alec. He was multitasking during his meeting, which was no surprise. It also wasn’t a surprise he was ensuring Jenna didn’t avoid him forever.

“What are you so happy about today?” Elisa asked as she rolled over to Jenna’s cubicle.

“I’m always happy,” Jenna countered.

“You’re always serious. You don’t do happy at work,” Elisa chided, using air quotes when she said the word happy.

“I’m just having a really good day, that’s all.”

“You must have gotten laid last night. You ever going to tell me who the mystery man is?”

Jenna really wished Elisa’s voice didn’t echo through the valley of cubicles like someone bellowing in the middle of the Grand Canyon. Jalen Foster’s not-so-subtle chortle carried over the cubicle wall. The tension had finally eased between them after their one date months ago. At one point he’d apologized for suggesting she was the office slut. Jenna had chosen to forgive him because what she’d done the night of their date was, well, a bit slutty.

While saying good night to Jalen after their date, Alec interrupted, sending Jalen on his way and pulling Jenna to his car where he fucked her in the back seat. Jalen claimed he knew what had happened, but Jenna never confirmed it and fortunately Jalen wasn’t vindictive enough to make his accusation public.

“You need to keep your voice down,” Jenna insisted, to which Elisa just laughed.

“Oh, by the way, Carly’s coming down tomorrow, sans baby, so plan on lunch and girl’s night.”

“Sounds great.” Her day was getting better by the minute. Carly Boudreau had left the team months ago after finding out she was pregnant. She moved to Montpelier and took a job with the hospital up there to be closer to her family. It was only an hour away, but she didn’t make it down very often and Jenna missed her.

Elisa rolled back to her cubicle and Jenna took a look at her to-do list. She had plenty to keep her busy but even as she opened the spreadsheet for the latest Westville upgrade, the new job perma-grin didn’t fade.

“You did what?” Alec boomed.

There was a reason Jenna didn’t want to do this in his office, but when he’d sent an appointment, she knew she couldn’t evade him forever.

“This is a smart move for me, Alec,” she explained calmly. “I never intended to be a project manager forever and the only way I can move up is to move to another department.”

“What the hell do you know about training?”

Jenna sucked in a deep breath and smiled, knowing Alec wasn’t trying to insult her.

“I was a software trainer before I came to Logicesse.”

“Oh, right. That makes you perfectly qualified.”

Okay, his condescending tone was starting to piss her off. She was more than qualified to be the director of training - obviously since Gavin offered her the job.

“What? You think I can’t manage the training department?” she challenged.

Alec took a deep breath and leaned back in his chair. “You can do anything you set your mind to. That’s not the point.”

“Then what is the point? Enlighten me, please.” Jenna had promised herself not to lose her temper or let sarcasm invade the conversation. She should have known she couldn’t control both flaws simultaneously when confronting the formidable Alec Winter.

Alec was the pillar of control as he sat at his desk, his arms crossed tightly across his chest. He wore a suit coat, as always, and his tie was straight and neat. He hadn’t shaved that morning, which was unusual, but Jenna had kept him up half the night and he sometimes skipped it when he was tired. She longed to feel the scratch against her skin. “We need you here. There’s another Westville upgrade in the pipeline and you handle all the European clients.”
