Suddenly
Beau pulled me away and my mouth released with a soft, wet pop. “N-no more, I
need to be buried inside that tight little pussy. Now,” he commanded.
Guiding
me back on top him, he positioned himself at my entrance as I placed my hands
on his chest, as he slowly lowered me down onto his length.
I
cried out from the feel of him sliding deeper into me, and I clawed at his
chest in delicious pleasure. He pushed his head back into the pillows and dug
his fingers into my hips as he guided me back and forth. My whole body was on
fire as I felt myself beginning to tighten around his cock…I was already so
close.
“Damn,
Danni, I love watching you riding my cock. You’re so beautiful,” Beau growled.
“I can feel you’re close, baby…come for me.”
He
reached down below my belly, finding my clit with his fingers. He rolled it
roughly and suddenly an orgasm hit me hard, rocking my body from head to toe. I
threw my head back and cried out as I shook from my release. I kept up my
rhythm and was soon rewarded as he stilled inside me. I could feel his hot seed
shooting deep inside my womb. Moaning in pleasure, I almost came again as I watched
him ride out his orgasm. He was so gorgeous.
After
Beau was emptied of his release, I was suddenly overcome with exhaustion. I rolled
off him and snuggled into his side. He moved my hair out of my face and kissed
my forehead. “Aw, baby, you’re exhausted. Let’s get some sleep,” he suggested.
“No,
I’m fine, I just need to catch my breath. It’s my wedding night and I want to
make love with my husband all night long. Just give me a minute,” I insisted.
Beau
chuckled and kissed my hair. “Danni, we have the rest of our lives to make love
with each other. Right now you are totally wiped out and you need to sleep.”
I
snuggled into him and nodded my head.
I
yawned and replied, “You’re right, I guess I do need sleep. You’ve worn me out,
I can barely keep my eyes open.”
He
huffed out a satisfied laugh.
“I
plan on wearing you out like this every night from now on. Sleep, beautiful,”
he whispered, and the last thing I remembered before drifting off was the
soothing feel of Beau’s kiss on my new wedding band that would forever rest on
my left finger.
Halloween
“Are
you sure you’re up for this tonight?” Beau asked me.
“Of
course I am! I’m feeling great, and this might be our last time to all be
together before Everleigh has the baby. Can you believe she’s due in a week?”
Everleigh
and Ryder were having a small Halloween get together at their house to
celebrate one last time before the eight of us became nine. Dr. Mitchell was
still trying to get her to her due date but at the rate Ev was going this kid
could be here at any moment. We’d all decided to meet up for a big dinner and
then pass out candy to all the trick-or-treaters in their gated community.
The
weeks since our wedding had been
wonderful
. Beau had already been amazing
to me in every way, but marriage seemed to have kicked his awesomeness into
overdrive. He was even more attentive and took every opportunity he could to
call me
his wife
; he was literally shouting it from the rooftops.
He
was amazing with my pregnancy too, making sure I was pampered in every way. He
would go out for food any time of day if I had the slightest craving for
something, he would massage my swollen feet, and he had even started singing to
my belly every night. Our daughter was being born into a large musical family,
and he said it was never too early to instill an appreciation for music. I wasn’t
sure how singing a lullaby from “Dumbo” was going to help, but it was still so
sweet to see him already bonding with her.
“No,
I can’t believe it,” he laughed, bringing me back to the conversation. “It
seems like her pregnancy has flown by. And it’s still so weird that Ryder is
about to be someone’s dad.”
We
were sitting in the kitchen because he had insisted on making me lunch. Thank
God it was only sandwiches, because cooking was not something he did well. He
walked over to the table carrying two plates of food, and after putting one
down in front of me he took a seat across the table.
“Eat,”
he commanded, taking a bite of his sandwich.
I
rolled my eyes and smiled.
“Yes
sir,” I answered, sinking my teeth into my honey roasted turkey sandwich.
I
moaned as I chewed and swallowed my food and quickly took another bite. Beau
knew just how I liked my sandwiches and he got everything right down to the
last detail.
“And
yes, it is a little weird knowing he and Ev are about to be parents. I’ve known
her since we were four years old, and now that she’s having her first baby it’s
making me feel a little emotional.” Suddenly I felt overwhelmed and almost
started to cry.
“Aw,
Danni, it’ll be okay. You know she’ll be a great mom, almost as great as you
will be,” he reassured me, winking. “Don’t stress yourself, okay? Just eat your
lunch and then why don’t you take a nap while I get the candy ready to take to
Ryder and Ev’s house?”
I
sighed dreamily and smiled. “You’re so good to me, you know that? I love you.”
“I
love you too, baby. Now eat,” he insisted, and I laughed as I went back to my
sandwich.
After
we finished, Beau cleaned up the dishes and then practically carried me into
our bedroom so I could rest. He was just walking out of the room and I was just
about to close my eyes for a quick nap when I heard his phone ring.
“Hello?”
he answered nonchalantly.
His
eyes suddenly flashed to mine and when he smiled at me I knew instantly who it
was.
“Yeah,
okay, we’ll be there as soon as we can. Yeah, I’ll call Jess and she’ll make
sure everyone knows. See you soon, man,” he said, and hung up his phone.
“Beau?”
I asked.
“Change
of plan tonight. Everleigh’s in labor,” he announced, grinning.
“We
need to get to the hospital and I have to call Jess.”
I
practically flew off the bed, exclaiming, “I’ll call her! You just get us there
as soon as possible, I don’t want to miss any of this!”
“Whoa,
slow down, Danni. We’ll get there in time, don’t rush yourself.”
“I
just…” I trailed off, choking back emotion. “I want to be there for her. I know
she has Ryder, but she’s my best friend. I need to be with her for as long as
she needs me.”
“You
will be, Danni, you just need to remember you’re pregnant too and you can’t
stress yourself out so much.”
I
nodded. “Okay, you’re right. Let’s just get there as soon as we can.”
He
kissed my forehead. “Come on, let’s go.”
As
soon as I called Jessie, Beau and I were on our way to the hospital. I practically
raced as fast as I could through the building to get to the maternity floor.
When we reached Everleigh’s delivery room, I knocked lightly and Ryder’s voice
immediately answered.
“Come
in.”
Walking
into the room, I went straight to Everleigh’s side and held her hand. She was
hooked up to a bunch of monitors and I heard the baby’s heartbeat making a
whooshing sound on the monitor.
“Ev,
girl, how are you feeling?”
“Nervous,
but okay so far.” She squeezed my hand and smiled at me. “I’m so glad you’re
here.”
“There
isn’t anywhere else in the whole world I’d rather be right now,” I replied.
“How
are you holding up, Big Daddy?” Beau asked Ryder, clapping him on the shoulder.
He
was sitting on Everleigh’s other side and his face was white as a sheet.
“I’m
doing okay,” he answered, dazed. “I just hate seeing Evie in pain.”
“Oh,
Ryder,” she said sympathetically, “I’m okay. It hurts a little bit, but it’s
not bad yet.”
“I
can’t wait to hold our son, but it’s killing me seeing you hurting just to get
him here. You are the bravest, strongest woman in the world, gorgeous,” he said
to her. “I love you so fucking much.”
Everleigh
giggled. “I love you too, rock star,” she answered and suddenly gasped.
She
squeezed my hand tightly. “Oh, here comes another contraction.”
“I’m
here, Ev,” I replied soothingly.
I
gripped her hand as she grimaced in pain. After about a minute, she relaxed her
hold on me and tossed her head back on the pillow.
“Phew,
that one was bad. They are definitely getting worse.”
“How
fast have they been coming?” I asked.
“Every
two or three minutes,” Ryder answered, rubbing his hand over her belly. “Not
that I’m counting.”
I
smiled at him…his worry was actually really sweet to see.
“Is
there anything I can do for you, Ev?” I asked her.
She
glanced at Ryder and he quickly nodded at her. “Will you stay with me?”
“Of
course! I will be here until they kick me out.”
“No,
I mean for the whole thing. I want you to be here when Max is born,” she said,
tears in her eyes.
I
gasped. “Ev…are you sure? This is a huge moment for you and Ryder. Are you sure
you want me intruding on it?”
“It’s
not an intrusion at all, Danni,” she said. “Ryder and I have talked about this
a lot in the last few days, and we both feel like it wouldn’t be right if you
weren’t here. You don’t have to stay if you don’t want to, but it would mean so
much if you were here when our son is born.”
I
was bawling. “I…I don’t know what to say.”
“Say
you’ll stay,” Ryder said. “You don’t have to be right up in it or anything.”
I
laughed at him. “Well, if you’re sure, then I’d be honored.”
Everleigh
smiled at me and muttered, “Thank you,” just as another contraction was hitting
her.
They
were really coming fast now…hopefully for her sake, this labor wouldn’t take
long.
Three
hours later, Dr. Mitchell came to her room in her gown and gloves to deliver
Max. Everleigh’s labor had progressed quickly…unfortunately too quickly for her
to get an epidural. Everleigh was the bravest woman I’d ever known. I knew for
sure I wasn’t going to be able to handle natural childbirth. I wanted to be
numb from the chest down when my daughter was born.
Jessie,
Sadie, Jude, and Kris had all come by to see Everleigh and wish her and Ryder
luck before the baby was born. They’d barely had enough time to visit before
Dr. Mitchell was ushering everyone out of the room. I was getting really
nervous for her (and for what I’d be going through soon) and didn’t think I
could handle being in the room on my own, so thankfully Beau agreed to stay
with me.
Beau
and I were standing in the corner behind the bed as Everleigh began to push.
This was it…my best friend, a girl I’d loved for more than twenty years, was
about to become a mother. I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing as she cried
out in pain and weeped from exhaustion. Ryder was in full panic mode as he held
her hand and tried to encourage her. He almost looked guilty as she pushed with
all of her might.
“Come
on, gorgeous, you’re doing great.”
“Just
a few more pushes and your son will be here, Everleigh,” Dr. Mitchell
exclaimed.
“I
can’t do it anymore, I can’t!” Everleigh cried.
She
looked completely exhausted; her face was covered in a fine coating of sweat,
her hair was mussed, and the makeup she’d been wearing was smeared around her
eyes.
Ryder
wiped her forehead with a cloth, looked into her eyes, and encouraged her to
continue.
“Yes,
you can, Evie. You are so strong and brave…I could never do what you are doing.
I love you so much baby, and I know you can do this. Our son is almost here…you
can do it.”
“He’s
almost here, Everleigh, just one more good hard push,” Dr. Mitchell stated.
“Fine,
just one more and that’s all!” she snapped, and leaned her head up.
She
screamed and her face turned red as she pushed as hard as she could…and then
suddenly a tiny cry broke through Everleigh’s sigh of relief. I quickly wiped
my tears away as I gazed in wonder at the tiny, precious baby that had just
been placed on her stomach. He was so beautiful. Even covered in God-knows-what
he was the most beautiful boy ever born. I looked up at Ryder and his eyes were
brimming with tears.
“Congratulations,”
Dr. Mitchell said, and I felt Beau’s arms wrap around me.
His
hands covered my belly and it sank in that we had just witnessed the birth of
not just a new baby, but of a new family.
“Ryder,
he’s so beautiful,” Everleigh cried, smiling as she held her baby boy in her
arms. “He looks just like you.”
