Acknowledgments

W
riting this book was difficult
, but not because Sam and Tiel didn't have plenty to say. If anything, I ended up with far more Sam, Tiel, and assorted Walsh moments than fit in this story, but it was the complexities and unexpected tragedies of life that made it hard to find the right words. There are certain moments when writing about growly, bitey boys doesn't feel that important.

Through it all, there were a few people who were always ready to listen to my rants and ramblings, and offer constructive criticism and healthy kicks in the ass, and I know this story is better because of them. Thank you for that, Amanda, Robyn,
Julia
, and
Nicole
.

To the ladies (and gentleman) of
The Walshery:
thank you for your endless supply of man candy, chorizo-sized bulges, book chat, humor, love, and endless affection for the Walshes.

Each day, I'm awed by the individuals who keep the book community going. The authors, bloggers, PAs, and readers in this ecosystem are amazing, and admire each of you for your contributions. Thank you for building this community, and sustaining it…even when someone breaks out the crazysauce.

My extended family learned about the Walshes rather recently, and I was a fool for thinking they'd be anything but ass-over-elbow excited about these books. To be quite transparent, they also give me a fuckton of shit about writing "smut," but much like the Walshes, it's how they show their love. To them, I'm thankful for the endless supply of material.

And to my husband, the one who keeps this train rolling even when I write
all
night long, forget his Father's Day gifts, and force him to listen to all of my wild and misshapen ideas. If it weren't for Mr. Canterbary and his willingness to be far more than my better half, there'd be no Walshes.

About the Author

K
ate Canterbary doesn't have
it all figured out, but this is what she knows for sure: spicy-ass salsa and tequila solve most problems, living on the ocean—Pacific or Atlantic—is the closest place to perfection, and writing smart, smutty stories is a better than any amount of chocolate. She started out reporting for an indie arts and entertainment newspaper back when people still read newspapers, and she has been writing and surreptitiously interviewing people—be careful sitting down next to her on an airplane—ever since. Kate lives on the water in New England with Mr. Canterbary and the Little Baby Canterbary, and when she isn't writing sexy architects, she's scheduling her days around the region's best food trucks.
