With a groan, Reaper placed his
legs down, collapsing beside Kane.

Recovering first, Kane found his
voice. “You should take me out here more often.”

“I’ll take you wherever the fuck
you want to go. You’re fucking stuck with me for life, baby.” Reaper pulled him
close, and Kane happily tucked his head against his broad shoulder, seeking
more of his warmth.

He snorted. “You say that like it’s
a bad thing.”

Reaper chuckled. “Who knew anything
good could come out of something bad?”

“I don’t want to be anywhere else,
but here, beside you.” Kane traced circles on Reaper’s chest. “You’re my gift,
Reaper. I hope you don’t ever get tired of me.”

“No one came close to killing me.”
Reaper flashed him a toothy grin. “Makes a hell of an impression, don’t you
think?”

Kane groaned. “How long are you
going to hold that over me?”

“For long as I can.”

Kane fell asleep in the comfort of
Reaper’s arms.

He woke to the sound of engines.
Remembering where they were, Kane clutched at the blanket, glaring at Reaper,
who regarded him, completely dressed, apparently watching him. Beyond the drop,
Kane spied the other Hellhounds, no doubt making crude jokes.

“Why didn’t you wake me?” Kane
demanded, fumbling for his clothes.

“I like watching you sleep.” Reaper
mutely handed Kane his jeans.

Snatching them, Kane quickly
dressed. “Hell, doesn’t that seem creepy to you.”

Reaper smirked, when Kane began
looking for his shirt, then remembered Reaper tore it the night before. Kane
had plenty to say, but Reaper handed him his jacket. Without another word, Kane
shrugged it on.

“Let’s ride,” Reaper called,
already walking ahead of him.
