Glory’s heart sunk. He was just interested in sex. He didn't want to date her at all. He would just continue to take her as he wanted. Well, she would show him. She would show up at his party looking sexy as hell and ignore him all night.

Chapter Seven

The rest of the week flew by. Glory half expected Trey to come through the door of the shop. But she hadn’t heard a peep from him since she had coolly excepted his invitation to the party. Nevertheless Glory was excited for the party. Her social life had definitely improved since Trey had come into her life.

Friday night, Glory nervously prepared for the party. She gave herself extra time to look fabulous. Tonight her hair felt wild. It curled around her face and down her back like mane. Men always told her how sexy it looked this way. She applied dark smoky eye makeup and a super glossy nude lipstick. She picked out a black and white striped bodycon dress that she had bought on a dare from Shania and never worn. Glory was happy it still fit. It clung perfectly to every curve in body. After taking one last look in the mirror she grabbed a oversized black blazer and headed to Shania’s. They were going to the party together since Matt was out of town.

Shania gave Glory a wolf whistle as soon as she saw Glory. “I can’t believe you are wearing that dress. I told you to buy it as a joke!” Shania shook her head in disbelief.

Glory pirouetted in front of her. “I know and I thank you.” The two women laughed as they shared a glass of wine before the party.

“You have changed so much since you met Trey. You’re less uptight. I like it.” Shania winked at her.

“Yeah he really opened me up. If you know what I mean.” Glory wagged her eyebrows at Shania.

Shania shrieked with laughter. “You dirty girl! You had shifter sex! What was it like? I heard they just throw you down and take you!”

Glory looked away, blushing and Shania shrieked again.

“That’s it. Let’s get you to this party!”

When they arrived at the restaurant the party was in full swing. Music throbbed from speakers as people in glittery clothes shimmied around the dance floor. Glory couldn't help scanning the room for Trey. I mean, if she was going to ignore him she would have to know where he was. She finally spotted him over by the bar. Marion was, of course, at his side in a silver sequined dress, her hair looking even smoother and shinier than usual. If that were possible.

“Let’s get a drink!” Glory had to shout over the music. She and Shania made their way to the bar. Trey noticed her at once. Gloria could feel his nearness in her body. She pretended not to see him and ordered a dirty martini.

“Glory!” he called out. She pretended not to hear him. Her body ached.

She and Shania left the bar and she peaked back over her shoulder at him. She could see the animal in his eyes. She knew this was dangerous game she was playing. He was as powerful as a panther and he was looking like he was ready to pounce on his prey.

Glory suddenly had a realization. He was cat, cats stalked and hunted their prey. If she wanted to get his attention she would have to make him hunt for her. She couldn’t be caught too easily. She understood the game now and she was ready to play it.

Glory could feel his eyes on her as she and Shania made their way to the dance floor. Glory didn't dance to the fast beat of the DJ. She just sway ed and rocked her hips slowly, putting on a show for Trey. She could feel his eyes on her. She looked at him and he was staring at her, his face darkening.

“Are you drunk already? Why are you dancing like that?” Shania called out to her. Glory just laughed and Shania pulled her off the dance floor. Shania soon got stuck talking to colleagues of Matt’s so Glory excused herself and made her way to the bathroom. It was upstairs near the offices. As Glory passed Trey’s office the door opened and he instantly grabbed her and pulled her into the office while shutting the door behind them in one swift, seamless movement.

“Are you ignoring me, Glory?” Trey’s eyes glittered in the low light of the desk lamp. Glory felt her body respond at Trey’s rough touch. He leaned in close and inhaled the sweet scent of her arousal

“Don’t you like it when I ignore you?” Glory whispered.

“Yes. You know I do.” Trey gripped her arms tightly.

Trey didn't need any further encouragement. He roughly turned Glory around and holding her arms behind her, he pushed her face down on his desk. She heard him undo the zipper of his pants. He pushed her skirt up to reveal her ass. He groaned in delight. He pulled off her panties buried his face in her ass. He hands let go off her arms and roughly grabbed her cheeks. His tongue found her hole and was licking it gently, driving her wild.

“Not that, not here, Trey” she protested in vain.

“Oh Glory,” Trey groaned. He stood up behind her and pulled his dick out of his pants. He slammed into her, hard. Glory cried out.

“Glory, you are so wet.” the growl escaped him as pounded into her again and again. He grabbed her hips and pushed deeper and harder every time. Glory couldn't take it anymore and screamed in ecstasy. The exquisite feeling of pain and pleasure mixed together flooded over her. Her body shuddered into orgasm. Trey joined her in ecstasy. He shot his juices inside her, the shuddering orgasm taking him by surprise. They collapsed together onto the solid oak desk. When Trey got up to do up his pants, all the emotions Glory had been feeling rushed out of her.

Glory sat up. “That’s what you want from me, right? The hunt and capture? And then when you get bored you will go back to Marion and be her mate?” Glory couldn't help it, the words spilled out of her.

“Marion? Mate? Where did you hear that?” he looked surprised.

“She told me. She came into the shop after the party and told me that you were just looking for a good time and that you were mated to her. And that you would return to her.”

“Oh Glory. No. You have it all wrong. Marion and I were chosen to be mates by our families, it’s true. But my generation doesn’t follow those old rules any more. We choose our mates, we choose for love, just. Just like you. Marion and I were together once, but she broke up with me when she found someone else she thought was more exciting.. But she was dumped by him and came back to me. I refused. I wasn't in love with her anymore, maybe I never was. Marion is used to getting what she wants. She doesn't want to accept that we are over. But it is, Glory. I fell in love with someone else. Someone who understands what I need. I love you, Glory, I have never felt such a connection with anyone before. You are my mate. Only you.”

Glory threw her arms around his neck and kissed him. “I love you too!” Their kiss deepened. It was slow and sensual and Glory melted into Trey’s arms. Trey had a tender human side too. Glory knew she was safe with him but it wasn't his tender side she wanted right now. She wanted the beast.
