Jacob did so well hosting the awards dinner they ask if he
could do it again next year. When the couple gets home, Samantha changes into
some workout clothes and hit the treadmill. Jacob goes down into the workout
room.

"Do you want to talk?"

"About your crazy jealous ex-girlfriend and psycho
Amber? You’re two crazies to my one psycho. We're such the perfect pair!"
She smiles.

"It still isn't right what she said, especially about
my family not letting me marry you."

"Yeah, that part stung. I really wanted to bash her
face in! It’s ok, baby, it's not your fault…my handsome specimen of a
man!" Samantha says as she bounces off the treadmill into Jacob’s arms.

"I love you!” she says, giving him a quick kiss. “I'm
going to take a bath. Will you wash my back?"

"Of course," he says, kissing her back shoulder
blade.

“Good afternoon; we have a one-o'clock appointment with Dr.
Berman,” says Samantha.

"Right this way," says the receptionist.

Jacob and Samantha sit down on the couch.

“Hello, I'm Dr. Berman. Let’s begin. Tell me what obstacles
you're trying to overcome in your relationship.”

“Well, when we first met, I lied to him about who I was.
Then I had a miscarriage because we weren’t in a good place.”

"Jacob, have you really gotten over Samantha lying to
you?" Dr. Berman asks.

“Yes, but I'm struggling with her drugging me and leaving
the country. I had to track her down to bring her back.”

“Samantha, why did you leave?”

“My ex-boyfriend is the welterweight champion of the world.
He is a very dangerous man in and out the ring. He tried to intimidate Jacob
and then Jacob beat him up.

It wouldn't have been long before he came after us both. By
leaving Jacob, there was a chance he'd be safe. Look, this guy is crazy and
this isn't the first time I’ve had to escape him. He's a lunatic! And now that
I'm back, I want to believe Jacob can protect me, but I'm still terrified.”

"So wait, why did you come back?" asks Jacob.

“Because I love you and I need to let you protect me. I
have a bad feeling he's going to try to kill me!”

“Jacob, do you think Samantha will leave?” the psychiatrist
asks.

“Yes.”

“So why did you ask her to marry you?”

He pauses.

“Because I believe it will keep her from leaving. I love
her—she's the only woman for me—but sometimes I don't think she feels the same.
I don’t know if she can really deal with my life. Ultimately I think she came
back because of the baby.”

Samantha is fuming; she wants to leave so badly.

“Samantha, what are you feeling right now?”

“Disbelief and anger! I'm here putting myself in harm’s way
to be with him. This baby is in harm’s way because of my love for him.”

"Direct your answers to Jacob," says Dr. Berman.

“Once again I went about things the wrong way. Maybe if I
had asked you to send me away, we wouldn't be here now. But you wouldn't have
agreed to that.”

"So you expected us to live apart?" asks Jacob.

"Until we resolved the problem," says Samantha.

"How were you going to resolve the problem?" asks
Dr. Berman.

They were both silent because they knew the only way to
handle Julius was to kill him.

“Sorry to do this, but our session is over for today. I
want you to express what's really on your mind to one another," says Dr.
Berman.

“Thank you, doctor,” Jacob says, shaking her hand.

The ride back to the house is silent. As soon as Jacob pulls
into the garage, Samantha unlocks the Cayenne’s door and jumps out. She runs
into the house up to their bedroom and starts packing a bag. Jacob enters the
bedroom.

“Oh, come on, Samantha, really!”

“What? This is what you expect of me, right? That I will leave
because I really don't love you!” Her mascara is running down her face as she
is crying hysterically.

“Samantha, you need to calm down for the baby's sake!”

“I told you I don't want your fucking money!”

“Samantha, you act as if I don’t want to be with you! The
sad part is, you don't even trust me to protect you. Why, because I'm a rich
white boy? You don't think I can protect you from your big black crazy-ass ex?
Say it! I want to hear you say it!”

“No! I don't think you can and I feel I need to protect
you. I didn't accept your proposal for the sake of the baby. The real reason
you proposed to me is keep me from moving back to Atlanta. If I didn't want to
be here, I would have just left again while in Italy. I'm here because I love
you.”

Samantha is still so angry. Jacob approaches her as she
sits on the floor up against the bed. He kneels down and reaches for her,
wrapping his arms around her and pulling her head to his chest while she cries.
He wants to calm her down so she won't pass out. His mouth presses up against
her hair, shushing her. He picks her up, laying her in the bed. He gets a wet
towel to clean her face. Jacob really wants to yell back and forth, but he
knows it would be too stressful on her.

"Samantha, you can't run every time you're scared or
hurt," he says. “Are you going to do that when we're married?”

“You still want to marry me?”

“Yes! Now if you need time to think, I can leave or I can
put you up in a hotel room. What do you want to do?” he asks, staring down at
Samantha as he leans over her.

“I want to go to a hotel.”

“Ok, no problem,” he says, leaning down to kiss her
forehead.

Jacob leaves the house to go to his favorite hangout spot.
He really feels indifferent about the therapist meeting. Does he really know
the woman he is marrying?

Maybe he is making the wrong decision, but why does he feel
so sad when he isn’t with her, he wonders, moping in a glass of whiskey. He
thought about when they first met, how she was so fun and deep intellectually.

He loved his birthday party, how she made it so special
because she took the time to listen. She found out what he liked and she spent
almost a quarter million of her own money on him.

Samantha stands in the window of the Beverly Hills Wilshire
Four Seasons Hotel. She smiles when she thinks back to when Jacob had tricked
her into dinner. And the footloose party they’d had when she first came to L.A.
and how relieved she was when he came to Italy to get her. She loves that this
man takes his time with her when they make love. They have been through so much
in so little time. But the reality is that her ex is coming for her.

“I will fight to
the depths to protect my family,”
she
says, rubbing her stomach. Samantha has been at the hotel since 4 p.m. and it
was now 9 p.m. She just woke up from her nap.

She sent Jacob a text
. “Can we talk
?”

"Over the phone?" he asks.

“No, in person. I'm at the Beverly Hills Wilshire Four
Seasons Hotel. Can you bring me a salad, please?”

“Yes.”

Samantha takes a bath and put big curls in her hair. Jacob
has learned one thing about Samantha: she loves make-up sex. He will try to
resist her.

He picks up her salad then drives to the hotel. He knocks
on the door. She answers wearing a white dress shirt and boy shorts underwear,
big hair and his favorite pink lipstick. He doesn't think he is going to be
able to resist after all.

He hands her the salad. She sits it down on the table.
“Thank you,” she says.

He watches her as she slowly turns and walks toward the
living room, fixing the top of her hair so her shirt will lift up just a little
to show her underwear. She makes him a drink, sitting it on the coffee table,
then turns on the TV; a basketball game is on. She sits cross-leg on the couch.
He is sitting at the other end of the couch with the drink in hand.

“What do you want to talk about?” he asks.

“Us! Were you serious that we would be ok?" she asks.

"Yeah," he says.

"Did you see how many points Kobe scored in last
night’s game?" she asks.

Jacob changed the subject. “Is that my shirt?”

“No. I bought it from the store downstairs, so I guess it
will be yours.” She says moving closer to him. "How will we survive
this?" she asks.

“I don't know.”

She weasels her way into his arms. “Jacob, what’s on your
mind?”

She looks into his big green eyes, running her hand over
his chest, then looking at him again, kissing his lips.

He stops her. “I'm going to go.”

“Oh, ok, I'll walk you out. Thanks for the salad.”

“But you didn't need me to bring you the salad, did you?”

“No, but I wanted you to. And I wanted to see you.”

They stand near the front door looking at each other.

“You could have stayed at home.”

“I needed to think in an environment that didn’t remind me
of us.”

“At twenty-five thousand a night!”

“What can I say? You’re spoiling a girl.”

“So you couldn't wait till tomorrow?”

“Well, I've been here since 4 so I’ve had about five hours
to think.”

“Are you coming home tomorrow?” he asks.

“Yes. I see you’re still upset with me,” says Samantha.

She moves closer to him, whispering in his ear. “Just so
you know, as soon as you came through the door I wanted to rip your clothes
off! But I would never force you to do something you don't want to do,” she
says, stepping back. “Nice boner, by the way,” she says, smiling. “Well, see
you tomorrow.”

She turns, walking toward the bedroom with a slight smile
on her face. Jacob stands there for a minute. Samantha stands facing the bed
with her back to him. Jacob walks up behind her, running his hands around her
waist. She leans back into his chest, raising her hands up the back of his neck
as he places his hand in her panties rubbing her clit, waking all of her
senses. Her lips part and her eyes roll in the back of her head. She moans,
“Oh, Jacob!”

"You like that?" he asks.

“Yes,” she says as her arms fall down on top of his as if
she gave everything she had.

“Take your panties off,” he commands in his deep voice.

She does as she is told, peeling them from her waist and
dropping them to the floor. She turns around to face him, unbuttoning his shirt
as she kisses his lips.

“I still love you,” she whispers.

"You better," he says with a smile.

She grabs two pillows from the bed. “Take off your shirt,
shoes and socks!”

He throws his shirt onto the chair in the corner. With
pillows in tow, she picks up his shoes and socks placing them in front of the
chair.

“Don't move,” she commands.

She stands in front of him, dropping the pillows to the
floor, kneeling down in front of him and unzipping his pants. She looks up at him
then back down to focus on the wonderful task at hand. She pulls his erection
through his unzipped pants and wraps both hands around it, placing it in her
mouth as she strokes and sucks stroking and sucking faster.

“Move your hands,” he commands.

She places her hands on his hips. He widens his stance,
grabs her hair with both hands, then looks down at her as he thrust his
erection into her mouth back and forth until he cums in her mouth, pulling out
as she swallows. She sits back on her butt, leaning against the bed. Jacob
takes his pants and boxers off, throwing them on the chair. She watches his
cute butt walk into the other room. He comes back with a glass of whiskey for
himself and a glass of water for her. He reaches out for her hand, pulling her up.
They get in the bed together; she leans against him, running her hand over his
chest.

"I love you!" she says. “You know that, right?”
she asks, looking into his beautiful green eyes.

"Yes!" he responds.

He sits their glasses on the night stand.

He runs his hand along her butt while kissing her lips,
then pulls her underneath him. She unbuttons her shirt. He kisses each shoulder
as he removes her arm from each sleeve before throwing the shirt on the floor.
She reaches up, running her hands through his hair as she kisses his lips
slowly and passionately. They stare into each other's eyes. As he enters her,
she gasp, taking his large erection.

“Jacob, do you really love me or are we together for the
baby’s sake?”

Jacob stops making love to her. “Samantha, I am truly head
over heels in love with you. You are the only woman who has ever made me feel
this way.”

Samantha starts to cry. “Jacob, you are the only man for
me. I love the time we spend together and I want to spend the rest of my life
with you. I can’t wait to be your wife.”
