A month after my first transformation into a werebear, Cade and I were packing up his truck. Since those first encounters together, Cade and I had shared night after night of passionate sex, both at his cabin and in my own bedroom. Making love felt like the most natural act with him in my arms, and I could never resist the promise of feeling him spill his seed inside of me. What came soon after should never have felt like a surprise.

As the two of us loaded our supplies for my coming transformation, I noticed a bottle in Cade’s hands, a grin adorning his lips.

“I thought we could celecrate our first month together,” he said, turning the bottle around to reveal that it was, in fact, a rather expensive bottle of wine. I gasped, shocked that he’d spend so much on me. But as he looked into my eyes, his smile faded.

“What is it?” he asked.

“I don’t think I’ll be able to accept that, Cade.”

“What? Why not? Is it something I said?”

“No,” I said, a smile returning to my lips. “Something you did, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing.”

“What’s going on?”

“I just—I don’t think wine will be good for the baby, sweetie.”

Cade stared into my eyes, the realization dawning over him like a crashing wave.

“We’re going to have a baby?” he asked, his smile reappearing and growing all the wider.

“Yes, my love,” I said, wrapping my arms around his neck. “You’re going to be a father.”

Cade set down the bottle of wine and enfolded me in his arms, lifting me clear off the ground and swinging me. As the forest danced around us I laughed, clinging to his body for dear life and reveling in the knowledge that that car crash had truly been the best thing that had ever happened to me.

This is how it ends,
I thought to myself as Cade set me back down and kissed me.
Not with a car crash or a bear attack, but happily ever after.

Claimed By His Clan

(Steamy Werebear Menage FMMM Romance)

It was late, yet The Drunken Druid bar was still packed and the air was sweet with the perfumes of the dozens of women huddled together at tables or fishing for free drinks at the bar. Gemma watched them, studying their positions. They had no shortage of targets to choose from; the men outnumbered the women two-to-one here, and the bar was quickly turning into something of a meat market. Thankfully, she didn’t have to worry about any of that.

She turned to the man on the other side of the pool table from her, noting the glint in his dark, coppery eyes and the smirk on his face. His name was Nicholas Brenner and they’d only just met a few hours ago, but already they were knee-deep in competition. It was Gemma’s nature. She was a wild young thing who hated to lose, and that meant that when she received a challenge, even from a stranger, she just couldn’t say no.

Especially when the stranger looked like Nicholas did.

The auburn-haired beauty leaned across the table, cue in hand, her lovely green eyes narrowed into slits as she stared down the shiny white ball only an inch away. Out of her peripheral vision, she caught Nicholas lowering his eyes to her breasts. They were practically spilling out of the neckline of her top, and every time she lined up her shot, they brushed against the green felt and brought her nipples to attention.

Advantage, me,
she thought, biting her lip to hide her own smirk as it threatened to give her away.

As she accidentally bumped one with her hip, Gemma’s eyes flicked over to the row of empty beer bottles at her side. Maybe she shouldn’t have so much to drink. She wasn’t exactly a lightweight, but when she got tipsy, she got handsy too. By the end of the night, it was very likely that the pool table wasn’t the only thing that she would be rubbing her tits on.

But he didn’t need to know that. Not just yet. And fucking a handsome stranger would prove all the more satisfying if she could lord the victory over him for a little while beforehand.

She peered at Nicholas over her stick and flashed him a bright smile beneath the soft smattering of freckles across her cheeks. Then she struck the cue ball, sending it hurtling into the last ball on the table and knocking it into the corner pocket.

“That’s game,” she said proudly as she straightened. She wobbled briefly, then grinned at Nicholas. “Looks like we’re tied.”

“Looks like it,” he said, chalking his cue stick. “Wanna go for the tie-breaker?”

“Works for me,” Gemma replied, sipping from her current bottle of beer. “But this is the last game, all right? I wanna head home soon.”

She could practically see the words in his hungry gaze:
Me too,
he wanted to say. He wore his desire on his sleeve and kept staring at her cleavage, which had drawn the attention of practically the entire bar throughout the evening. Everyone seemed to be waiting for her milk-white tits to overflow from the cups of her scarlet lace bra, the edges of which were clearly visible whenever she bent over.

Gemma kind of liked the attention she drew. She liked being the hottest chick at the bar, and she liked that everybody knew it, too.

“Wanna make a friendly wager?” Nicholas asked her, taking a sip of his own beer.

Gemma gave him a sideways glance rife with feigned suspicion. “What do you have in mind?”

He grinned at her. “If I win the next game, then I get to take you home. And I get something I’ve been wanting all night.”

She arched an eyebrow. Now
this
was intriguing. “And that would be?”

Nicholas’ eyes flicked from her face to her breasts, then back again. “I want to fuck your tits.”

Gemma choked so hard on her beer that it almost came out her nose. She snorted, giggled, and covered her face with her hand until she’d recovered enough to respond. Her face was as red as her hair.

“Jesus, Nicholas! Keep your voice down!”

“Sorry,” he said, although he clearly wasn’t. “And please, call me
Nick.
” He licked his lips. “What did you want to wager?”

Gemma swallowed the last of her beer. She looked over her shoulder toward the door at the other prize she’d been eyeing all night, and then back at Nicholas. “Do you really wanna know?”

It was Nick’s turn to raise his brows. “Is it kinky, or expensive?”

“Kinky,” she answered, the red flare returning to her cheeks.

His stare could have set her on fire. “Then yes.”

Gemma leaned over the table toward him, beckoning him closer. As Nick bent to meet her, she whispered into his ear:

“Those guys you came in with?” she began, referencing the two burly men hovering near a table full of women. They appeared to be chatting them up, but it didn’t seem to be working. Gemma bit her cranberry-colored lip. “If I win, then I want to bring them home with us, too.”

Nick turned his face so that their noses nearly touched. His eyes were wide, but he seemed less judgmental and more fascinated by her demands. “You… what?”

“I wanna bring them back to my place,” she repeated, her hands slowly sliding along his arms. “I wanna have them fuck me on my bed as hard as they can… and since you’d be the loser in this scenario, you could only watch.”

Nick swallowed hard. He glanced over at his friends and shifted uncomfortably. “Are you sure, Gemma? The three of us can be… er… a lot to handle.”

Gemma nodded, staring into his eyes. She was most definitely sure. “I’m not exactly easy prey, myself,” she whispered.

For a moment, something like amusement passed over Nick’s face. But then he nodded. “We’ll see.”

Gemma grinned as she set up the balls on the table. “And if I win, seeing is about all you’ll be doing.”

“Very funny,” Nick said, his luscious lips curled into a smile.

The game was the most intense match Gemma had ever played. Nick was quiet for most of it, which made shaking his resolve with trash talk a little difficult. He seemed so focused on her defeat, so dead-set on being the only man to claim her that night, and she wondered if she hadn’t bit off a little more than she could chew. Obviously, the beer had made her brave. Could she really take home three men, all of them strangers, and fuck them all at once?

She didn’t have much more time to think about it. They were tied, and Gemma was lining up her last shot.

“So,” Nick said, possibly hoping to distract her, “you do this kind of thing often?”

She shrugged, but her stick didn’t waver. “Not really. But I get the idea a hot guy like you needs to be taken down a peg. And let it never be said that I don’t have a sense of adventure.”

Nick ran a hand through his chestnut hair and grinned. “You think I’m hot, huh?”

Gemma couldn’t contain her smile as she met his eyes over her pool cue. “Yes,” she answered. “Well, for a loser, anyway.”

She stabbed at the cue ball, then watched both anxiously and with great pride as she sank three balls in quick succession, ending the game in her favor.

She blew the chalk off the end of her pool cue like smoke from the barrel of a gun, then smirked at Nick.

“I win,” was all she said.

“I know,” he growled in reply.

Gemma regarded him with a frown. That growl had sent a shiver up her spine, but it also made her a little nervous. “You’re not pissed, are you?”

“I’m fine,” Nick said, although he did look a little disappointed. His eyes smoldered as he looked her over with both admiration and annoyance. She guessed she’d struck a blow to his ego. “A deal’s a deal.”

Gemma racked her cue then turned back to him, hesitating for a moment as she shot a glance toward his friends. They were both ridiculously hot, too, but she wondered if she wasn’t pushing her luck. “If it’s going to be a problem between you three, then—”

“No,” Nick said, staring her down. “I honor my bets. If I had won, I would’ve expected you to honor yours.”

A rush of heat settled between her legs. She could only imagine what Nick had planned for her in the case of his victory. There was something strangely primal about him, and she got the impression that he wouldn’t pull any punches behind closed doors.

For a moment, she let her mind drift into warm, lustful waters where Nick was holding her down on her bed. Her ass was in the air and pressed against his crotch as he thrust inside of her, the sound of their flesh meeting again and again filling her bedroom like a symphony. Secretly, she longed for a man to take control of her that way. She was all girl-power in public, but in private, she liked to surrender. She’d just never found anyone who could make her submit, and now she wondered if three muscular, almost downright bestial men would do the trick.

Gemma watched Nick as he racked his own cue next to hers. The heat from his body gave her goosebumps, but it didn’t last long. Soon he’d left her side to approach his friends, stealing them away from the table full of half-interested women and speaking to them in hushed tones near one of the booths.

Gemma tried not to look at them too often, but it seemed like every time she stole a glance, they were staring right back at her. One time, she saw one of them licking his lips, clearly undressing her with his eyes as she leaned against the pool table.

Then Nick returned, placing a hand on either side of Gemma and curling his fingers against the green felt.

“They’re in,” he breathed against her ear, and she let a little moan escape in reply. “But I’m warning you, Gemma. We’re not like other men you’ve brought home from the bar. The things we’ll do to you…”

He trailed off, and Gemma’s mind scrambled to fill in the blanks. Nervousness fluttered in her belly, but she set her jaw and tried hard not to let it show.

“The things
they’ll
do to me,” she reminded him, although her voice wavered. “You’re sitting this one out. Remember?”

Nick looked down at her. “Even so, you really have no earthly idea what you’re in for.”

“Then it’s a good thing you’ll be there to protect me,” Gemma answered. She batted her lashes at him in time to the too-quick beating of her heart. “You
will
protect me, Nick. Won’t you?”

For a moment, he didn’t answer. When he did, it sent shivers down her spine.

“As if you were my own,” he told her.

Gemma couldn’t help herself any longer. She leaned up on her tip toes and kissed Nick long and hard on the mouth, letting his fire consume her. Then, before she could second-guess her plan once again, she yanked him out of the bar and into the cool night air.
