Listening raptly, she heard a growl roll from his throat.
His cock drove into her mouth. She sucked his cock and squeezed his balls. Working
her mouth up and down his length, she focused on delivering as much sensation
as possible. His hand pulled her head downward as his hips thrust up. He came
hard, his semen splashing against the back of her throat. She swallowed and
kept sucking, trying to draw out his pleasure, but the rush of her own nearly
choked her.

A shiver tore down her spine as heat swelled within her and
burst outward. She held on to him desperately, needing something to hold on to
as the bliss hit her. The sweet intensity rolled through her, leaving her weak
and satisfied but strangely still hungry for more. His hips continued to rock
up into her mouth for a few moments until finally he relaxed.

She blinked as her mind tried to come up with a reason for
that sudden orgasm. After a moment, she realized it was the
re’kai
, that
transferred burst of pleasure. She had thought that it only happened during
full sex. It was so good, but she hadn’t been prepared. He could have warned
her of it when he was telling her to give him time earlier.

She slowly drew her mouth up and let his now flaccid cock
fall from her lips. Her fingers stroked over his balls. Now that she’d given
him his kiss, she was definitely in the mood for more. She hoped he didn’t take
long to get hard again.

“Ada, I think you’ve drained the life out of me.” He barely
lifted his head before it fell back to the bed.

“You’re talking. You’re fine.” She laughed and patted his
thigh. “Maybe I should give you a minute to catch your breath. I can entertain
myself.”

He laughed softly. She raised her brow. Maybe he didn’t
believe her. She moved from between his legs but stayed near the end of the bed
so that he could easily see her. She sat and spread her legs, bending one knee.
Bracing herself on one arm, she leaned back so he could get a clear view of her
pussy and what she was doing. She let her right hand rest over her mound for a
moment before she slipped her fingers between the folds. His eyes locked on
her. She swirled her fingers around her clit, teasing herself a little. It
wouldn’t take much. Her thighs were wet with her arousal, but she wanted him
inside her when she came.

She drew her fingers down to her entrance. Letting them
swirl in her juices, she dipped two fingers into her pussy. He slowly rose to
his hands and knees. His silver eyes burned as they followed her fingers. She
decided to give him something to watch. Sliding her fingers deeper into her
channel, she set a slow rhythm. A low growl rumbled from Jagger’s throat.

“My pussy.” He rose to his knees and gripped her legs,
pulling her up the bed.

Letting herself relax onto the mattress, she didn’t struggle
against him. Her fingers continued slowly pushing into her cunt in blatant disregard
of his claim. He widened her thighs, moving between them. His hand closed
around her wrist, pulling it away from her pussy. She groaned at the loss of
sensation.

He tugged her hand to his lips and drew her fingers between
his lips. As he sucked at the digits, his tongue stroked from the base to her
fingertips as if to gather every drop of her essence. Each drawing pull flowed
through her body, seemingly connected straight to her clit and the aching mass
of hunger settled low in her belly. She shivered and her hips restlessly moved
in silent demand for some of that attention.

He released her hand and moved up her body a little more.
His hands stroked her thighs. He leaned down and ran his tongue over the slick
juices that had leaked from her pussy. She tangled her hand in his hair.

She wanted to feel his mouth on her pussy. The soft puff of
his breath on her labia sent little tremors over her body. Anticipation built
the hunger even higher. He braced on his elbow and his tongue stroked upward
over her labia. He parted the lips and drew in a deep breath. Her skin was so
sensitive at the moment that she felt the movement of the air across it almost
as intensely as a physical caress.

“Mine, Ada. You’ll come when I’m buried deep inside you.
Hold on for me.” He looked up at her.

She caught the glint of determination in his eyes. Lust
flared even hotter in her. She gripped his hair and pulled him closer. His
fingers parted her labia. His tongue lapped over her clit before moving
downward to the entrance. His tongue pushed into her pussy.

The push of his tongue into her channel added to the
torment. It wasn’t long enough or big enough to do more than tease. Her hips
lifted against his face and she tugged on his hair. His mouth moved up to her
clit. His tongue teased the sensitive flesh.

She moaned, amazed at the intensity of the desire boiling
inside her. His mouth opened over her clit and he sucked it. The pulling tug
almost sent her right over the edge. She drew in deep breaths and desperately
tried to hold it back as he asked. He didn’t make it easy. Two of his fingers
suddenly pushed at the entrance to her pussy. They slid into her but pulled
back. Her inner muscles clenched around them, trying to pull them deeper.

Shaking and hanging on to her control, she tugged at his
head. “Jagger, I’m going to come.”

His head lifted from her clit. She wanted to scream in
frustration. He looked up at her and then straightened. He moved up the bed a
little and rolled onto his back. She slowly got to her knees, unsure of what he
was doing. She needed him.

“Ride me.” He gripped her hips as she moved closer.

Yes, definitely what I need.
She smiled as she
straddled his hips.

Reaching between them, she gripped his cock and guided it to
her entrance. The rounded head pushed inside. She closed her eyes and slowly
lowered her hips, taking his shaft fully into her pussy. Shivers ripped over
her body. She held completely still, not wanting to let it finish this quickly.

His eyes gleamed as he looked at her. “Are you sure you’re
ready? You seem to be rather still. Maybe I should help you.”

“No, I don’t want to finish this yet. I need to make it
last.” She placed her hands on his chest. The movement sent a shudder through
her.

“But I’d like to watch you find your pleasure.” His hips
flexed. “I can’t do that if you’re trying to draw out the torture for both of
us.”

She shivered as his cock pushed slightly deeper into her
pussy. Her nails sank into his chest. She couldn’t take any more delay. Her
hips rocked forward. Still trying to go as slow as possible, she lifted her
hips until only the head of his cock remained within her. She moaned as she
tried to take it slowly on the down stroke. His hands clasped her hips and
urged her hips completely down and then lifted her up again.

“Fuck me, Ada. Show me how much you need.” His hands
tightened and he continued with the guiding movements.

She couldn’t resist his urgings and the call of her own
hunger. Her hips rocked against his. As she picked up speed, one of his hands
left her hips and began playing with her breasts. He lifted into her downward
strokes, his cock driving into her even as she sought to take him. He pulled
and tugged at the hardened peaks. She moaned, a tremor ripping through her. Her
inner muscles clamped down around him, but somehow she didn’t completely go
over the peak.

Desperation built, and on each downward dip she ground her
pussy against his pelvis, trying to take the pleasure she wanted. Her hips
rocked fast and hard and her nails sank into his skin. His fingers squeezed her
nipple as she pressed against him. The sharp sting swept her into the
maelstrom. Her body clenched and tensed as sheer delight whipped through her
body.

Jagger continued to rock her body against his. His cock
stroked deep and retreated. Each movement sparked a jagged flare of sensation
to rip through her and mix with the pleasure still gripping her. She moaned low
and held on to him, riding out the intensity. His hips punched up against hers.
His body tensed as he came. His hands pulled her tight against him as his semen
splashed inside her.

As he came, another wave of bliss rose and slammed over her.
She tensed and drew in a gasping breath. Her body shivered with the force of
the release. She held on to him, her only anchor in the fierce storm washing
over her. She nuzzled her head against his chest and drew in a shaky breath.
That
re’kai
was so sweet, but it was going to kill her.

Chapter Fifteen

Ada strolled down the hallway with Keegan, looking for
Lauren. Ada had gone to find her friend since Jagger had to go talk with his
Achan
.
She suspected he was giving a full report of what had happened on the planet.
While he was gone, he’d told her she could do as she wanted and showed her how
to get to the section of the ship where the
Setona’s
crew was housed.

He’d obtained a few more clothes for her. She didn’t know
exactly where he’d found them, but the gray pants fit and the green shirt was
closer to her size than what she’d worn while down on the planet. He’d said
they’d stop by a trade outpost soon where she’d be able to get the clothing she
needed.

The
Vigilan
t was on its way to the boundary to meet a
United Systems ship that would pick up the crew and the captured pirates to
take them to one of the bases. Ada knew that Jagger wasn’t about to let her go
with the rest of the crew. The most confusing part to her was that she didn’t
know if she wanted to go.

Other than the fact that this was all so strange to her, she
loved being with Jagger. Still, she felt unsettled and nervous. The uncertainty
of her life here didn’t help much. She didn’t know what she’d do with these
people or that much about them.

Ada and Keegan talked softly as they walked down the
hallway. Lauren was supposed to be coming back to this section and they hoped
to intercept her. They wanted to go to the dining hall, get something to eat
and simply relax. Ada planned to savor this time with her friends. She almost
dreaded the day when they left. A little of it was fear that her relationship
with Jagger was almost too good, but a lot of it was losing her friends.

“So Jagger turned out to be a little more serious than you
thought.” Keegan glanced at her.

“Oh, yes, much more serious.” She smiled and nodded.

Although she was uncertain and the future did worry her, she
was confident that Jagger felt something intense for her. She simply wasn’t as
sure as he was that it would last. The biological tie was all well and good,
but what if they simply couldn’t get along at some point? They could make each
other miserable.

As much as she feared being hurt or hurting him, she had to
give this a chance. And not simply because Jagger wasn’t going to let her walk
away. He’d been right about a few things. The pull to him felt so intense that
she didn’t know if she could walk away from him. On top of that, Ada had to
acknowledge she was a different person than her parents or sisters. If she and
Jagger failed with the relationship, it wouldn’t be because she ran away from
the commitment.

“You don’t sound mad about it,” Keegan said.

Ada looked forward as movement ahead of them caught her eye.
Lucan walked slowly down the hallway. She watched him intently. He was one of
the men suspected of being the last attacker. The thin black-haired man went
into a room ahead of them. As soon as the door closed behind him, she focused
her attention back on Keegan and their search for Lauren. As long as Lucan was
behind that door, he wasn’t going to be a problem. She didn’t think he’d try
anything here anyway.

The chances of getting away with it were slim. If he
attacked, he’d have to be blinded by whatever passion drove him, be it greed or
loyalty to the person who paid him to join the crew. He wouldn’t get off the
ship without being caught. There were too many opportunities to be seen or
stopped here. There were more people, and this was an area where people came
and went regularly, plus there was the video monitoring. They’d had security
cameras in most areas of the ship even on the
Setona
.

“No, I’m not angry about the relationship being more than I
expected. I should have seen it, but even if I had, I doubt it would have
changed anything. There was a definite attraction between us right from the
first,” Ada admitted.

It was a matter of perspective. She was fairly certain that
she wouldn’t have handled it well if she’d known near the beginning that Jagger
was her mate. She’d have tried to avoid any type of involvement with him. Not
that it would have worked. She was honest enough to admit that she wouldn’t
have been able to stop the desire from drawing them together. That was aside
from the fact that Jagger had some ideas of his own about how the relationship
would proceed.

“Do you think she was distracted or detained by someone?”
Ada frowned. She’d thought that they’d have found Lauren by now.

“She does have a tendency to be drawn into conversations
with anyone at any time. So someone might have started talking to her.” Keegan
shrugged. “If we don’t run into her soon, we can always leave her a message to
meet us there.”

Ada shrugged. Lauren had only gone to talk to Captain
Thomas. It shouldn’t have taken long. He was already in communication with the
authorities and the insurers of the
Setona
and would want to focus on
that. Keegan hadn’t said why Lauren had left to talk to the captain. The only
guess Ada had was perhaps she wanted to get a message to her family. Lauren had
family that would worry about her if she was out of contact for too long. On
top of that, they’d probably been informed when the ship was reported missing.
She’d want to reassure them. Ada had left a message for her own family but
hadn’t been able to connect with them yet.

As they passed the door where Lucan had entered, Ada kept
her eyes on it, just in case Lucan decided to lunge at them. They passed it
without incident. She kept checking behind her to make certain he didn’t come
out of the room, but when they turned the corner she was relatively sure they
were safe. They walked down the hallway toward the lift to take them to the
level where the dining hall was located.

As they neared the lift, Ada felt something cold and metal
against her neck. A hand gripped her arm. She froze and then her heartbeat
raced as fear surged through her. Her mouth dried and every muscle in her body
corded with tension.

“Be quiet and both of you come with me.” A harsh male voice
whispered behind her. It scared her, but even as her mind spun, she realized
that it didn’t sound like Lucan. “You run. I’ll kill her.”

Ada’s mouth worked. She wanted to tell Keegan to run and get
away while she could, but no words would come out of her mouth. She couldn’t
make a sound. He wouldn’t kill her. Not until he had what he wanted. This was
Keegan’s chance to get away. The hand pushed and urged her down a side hall.

She heard footsteps on the carpeted hall. She glanced to the
side and saw Keegan running. A little relief poured through her, but the feel
of the metal against her skin sent a cold wash of fear through her. Whoever was
holding it wouldn’t let her walk away from this to tell what had happened.

“Well, she doesn’t care what happens to you.” The voice
said.

Hearing it again, Ada was almost sure that it was Rogan, the
other man who’d been suspected of being one of the two known attackers. She felt
a little stupid for immediately jumping to the conclusion that Lucan was
planning something simply because she’d seen him.

Ada didn’t blame Keegan for running. She wanted her friend
to go. It might be the one chance of getting someone here to help before it was
too late. Rogan wasn’t going to believe her when she told him that there was
nothing on the
Setona
other than the cargo they’d already taken. Jeff
hadn’t given the idea any credit at all. The truth didn’t seem to matter to
these pirates, only the idea they had stuck in their minds. She wanted to
scream with frustration. The
Setona
crew weren’t smuggling information
or secret weapons.

The knife pulled away from her neck. She knew it wasn’t on
her skin, but she didn’t know where it was. Her instincts screamed for her to
get away from him somehow, but that uncertainty held her still when she wanted
to jerk away and run.

Panic gnawed at her. She couldn’t seem to draw enough breath
into her lungs and her chest hurt.
How am I going to get out of this?
Her field of vision narrowed. His hand tightened on her shoulder, spinning and
pushing her back against a wall.

She gasped and her hand flew to her neck. Part of her
wondered if he’d decided to kill her instead of asking his questions. She
hadn’t felt any pain, but the unexpected move startled her. The wall pressed
against her back as she ran her fingers over her skin. She didn’t feel a cut or
the warmth of blood. As she took in the man behind her, she confirmed her
suspicions. She recognized the blond man. Rogan. Stockily built, he was only a
little taller than her.

“I’ll have to find Keegan later and take care of her, but
this might be better altogether. One of you is easier to handle than two.”
Rogan looked her over, but his eyes held no emotion.

She was glad Keegan had gotten away from him. He could have
used one of them as leverage against the other. The tip of the knife hovered
over her chest. She couldn’t take her eyes off it. She knew she should watch
his facial expressions or body language, but the thought of that knife cutting
into her made her tremble and sweat bead on her skin.

“Where is it?” Rogan asked.

“If the
it
you’re referring to is the same thing Jeff
asked about, a weapon we were supposedly delivering to the base, there’s
nothing. We took them supplies and that’s it. There was no secret cargo, no
weapon,” Ada said slowly. Not that she thought it would get through to him
slow, fast or loud. She simply didn’t want to startle him.

“Yes, there is something. The captain wouldn’t have met with
the base commander if there wasn’t. Where is it hidden?” Rogan pressed the tip
of the blade against her shoulder. She could feel the sharp point through her
shirt. “Do you think I want to be doing this? I have to get them the
information.”

“No, you idiot, they’re friends. There’s nothing on the
Setona
.
No secret weapon. Whoever decided they’d send it on a trade ship was an idiot.”
Although she wanted to shout it at him, the sharp prod of the blade quelled the
urge. She didn’t want to be stabbed accidentally or in a fit of rage. She’d try
to delay that as long as possible. Maybe someone would rush to the rescue
before he killed her.

She hoped someone would get there. Sadness washed over her
at the thought of losing Jagger. She wanted that time with him and to learn if
they could make it work. Before this, she’d been willing to give the
relationship a try, but now, she would grab the chance and Jagger if she
managed to survive.

“You lie.” He shoved her back against the wall, holding her
there with his arm tensed to drive the blade deep in her chest. “If you lie to
me again, I’ll kill you.”

Her mind centered on the knife. What should she tell him?
How could she calm him down or make him believe the truth when he hadn’t seen
it yet? He was so focused on his belief he was blind to everything else. He
jerked but then pulled at her. She didn’t know what was happening. His hand
gripped her arm, yanking hard toward him, as he slipped behind her. Did he
intend to kill her without getting his information?

He tugged her to his chest and put the knife across her
throat. “Let me go or I’ll slit her throat.”

She found herself staring at a group of men wearing the gray
uniform of the Zarain. All had weapons drawn and they were pointing right at
her. She’d never been more relieved to see weapons pointing at her than she was
now, although actually looking at the muzzles of laser pistols,
rusu
stunners and
traser
rifles did cause a jolt of nervousness to tighten
her stomach. She saw Jagger near the back. He had a stunner aimed toward her,
but there were two men near him, watching him.

“Let her go. There’s nowhere for you to go. You’re on a
Zarain ship in the middle of Shifter-Protected space. There’s nowhere you can
run to that you won’t be caught.” Achan Caseain’s calm voice carried in the
hallway.

“You’ll let me go. You don’t want her hurt. I don’t want to
hurt her.” Rogan pulled the knife a little tighter to her neck. “I just
need
that information.”

Be calm. We’ll get you out of this.

Ada heard the voice in her head. It wasn’t Jagger though. It
sounded like Achan Caseain. She stiffened and looked at him. He nodded. That
was still strange and even more so because it was someone she’d barely met. Did
these people just go around talking into each other’s minds?

Focus your thoughts. I need to know you understand.
Jagger is barely holding on to his control. I need you to stay as calm as
possible.
Rav Caseain’s voice once again filled her mind.

I understand. I won’t panic.
Ada hoped he heard her.
That communication was still new to her and she could never tell if Jagger
heard her, much less someone she’d never spoken to that way before.

“Why do you need the information? The pirates aren’t here to
rescue you. You can’t get them any word from this ship. I’m sure you’ll go
straight to the brig on any ship that picks you up,” Rav said slowly. His head
tilted and he watched the man.

Good. Now, stay still and trust us.
Rav’s attention
now turned to the man holding her.

We were looking for Lauren before he found us. Did he get
her?
She asked.

There was a long pause. If he’d heard her he was probably
waiting for a reply from one of his men. Her hand clenched and her stomach
churned. She hoped Lauren was safe.

“They have reach everywhere. Do you think I want to ruin my
life?” Rogan’s grip tightened, and she felt a shiver run through her.

Your friend was delayed as she returned and is currently
arguing with one of my men on the level below this one,
Rav answered.

Ada felt a little relief flow through her. Her mind
immediately centered on her own situation again now that she was assured her
friend was safe. She stayed quiet and tried not to let her mind go crazy with
worry and fear. He said to trust them. Hard to do when she had no idea what
they planned.
