Astaroth stood for a moment on the sidewalk and could have easily been mistaken as alive. Until his body faltered, hitting hard against the concrete in a crash of flesh and bone. Yet, there was no blood and that simply wouldn't do.
Dajjal snapped his fingers and the body bent to his will, exploding into a shower of maroon gore. “Now, that's better,” he spoke through his blood stained smirk. “My dear Astaroth. How could I
ever
trust a traitor such as yourself, especially to do work worthy of a god?”
There was no answer, except for the subtle pitter-patter of bloody rain in the street. It was one of many sounds of suffering and Dajjal took the greatest pleasure in creating such a symphony. He looked up as red continued to fall down all around him.
“I think it's time to play the world my song.”
