Today, the town of Como, Colorado, has only a handful of residents, though the historic hotel, railroad depot, and roundhouse remain. Little remains of the town site of Buckskin Joe, but you can still walk through its cemetery. Who knows, you might even see a woman there, in a black veil and silver dancing shoes.

You will certainly see her namesake, Mount Silverheels
(elev. 13,829 feet), one of the most beautiful mountains ringing South Park. It is Colorado's 99th tallest mountain. Of the hundred tallest mountains in the state, it is the only one named for a woman.
