Her mind raged and screamed. Fear and anger, desperation and heartbreak warred within her. What would she do? How would she ever get away from them? They would torture her. Rape her. How could they do such a thing if they loved her as they claimed?

“We only do what we must. It is you who won’t allow us into your heart. You hold yourself back from us. Do you think we would make you give up all that you know and not do the same?”

Lucan bent down, met her angry glare with his own. A growl rumbled from his chest, his lips lifted in a snarl. “If you truly loved us, believed in our ability to provide you with all that you need, you’d not be in this situation. Before the night is out, you’ll know in your soul that we belong with each other, despite whatever circumstances brought us together.

Dare lifted her into his arms, before she slumped to the floor. Her arms and legs had grown leaden, useless. Would they continue to keep her like this if she refused to submit? How long would they try to force her into submission?

Unable to think of anything to say, she closed her eyes, avoiding the stares of Dare’s crew as they carried her from the shuttle and to whatever fate awaited her.

It took but minutes for them to reach their destination. She could feel their excitement, their desire. Their hunger burned. The desire raged inside them, a ravenous beast desperately waiting for permission to break free. And she’d be the meal they would feast upon.

Before she knew it, they stopped, then placed her on something plush and soothing. Still, she refused to open her eyes, to acknowledge them. She wouldn’t give them the satisfaction. The rustle of clothes, the metallic sounds of metal meeting metal, and the heavy breathing of her mates made her curious, but still she refused to allow her curiosity free reign. That would only lead to more heartbreak.
