“Hey.” I replied dryly.

“You have some beautiful babies’ girl.” She told me.

“Thank you.”

“Oh no problem at all. They look just like two little doll babies. I can see that you take good care of them.”

“Yeah, I try.” I finish gathering all of my things and then took everything to the car.
When I came back inside Mina was sitting on Tre’s lap. She leaned over and gave him a peck on the lips. “Do you think that you could help me take the girls out to the car?” I asked Tre not bothering to try and conceal the attitude in my tone.

“Yeah, of course.” He replied. “Mina, get up for a minute.”

“Oh, my bad girl.” She looked at me and giggled. “I just can’t seem to get enough of those lips. I know that you understand.”

I looked at her and giggled too. I knew the bitch was trying to be funny but little did she know the joke was on her
because just a few hours earlier he’d had those same lips sucking on my pussy. “Yeah, girl I understand.” I walked over and lifted Laila out of her swing. Tre got Lola and we walked outside. I glanced behind me and saw Mina tagging along.
Man this bitch right here is doing just a little bit too much!
I thought to myself. When we reached the car, we buckled in the girls. Tre gave them both kisses and told them that he loved them and would miss them both.

“Awww, don’t worry baby. We can go up and visit them anytime that you want.” Mina told Tre.

I was just about to put her in her place when Tre spoke up. “Mina could you give us a few minutes.”

A slightly confused expression crossed her face. Her eyes went from Tre to me and then she replied. “Yeah sure.” She started towards the house and then stopped. “Have a nice trip, Lala.”

“Mmhmm.” I replied.

After she’d gone inside, Tre held open his arms. “Can your babydaddy get a hug?”

I stood with my arms folded and didn’t move. “I’ll call you and let you know when we get home.”

“Can I have a hug?” He repeated.

“Bye, Tre.” I opened the car door and got inside.

“That’s messed up. I hope that we can move past this and get back to where we were. We were doing really good. I don’t want us to be mad with each other and beefing. I have enough babymama drama with Kisha.”

I was so sick of hearing about his problems with Kisha. “Don’t worry, we’re good. I told you that I was done. So I am going to leave the whole “us” situation alone and move on. Everything ain’t meant to be and I just have to accept that you and I aren’t meant to be.” I started the car and put it in reverse. “I’ll call you later.”

“Okay, drive safely.” He told me.

“I will.” I backed out of the yard and into the street. I glanced back at Tre and he waved. I threw my hand up and was on my way.

On the drive to Danville, I shed a few more tears. By the time that I’d made it home. I realized that it was time for me to move on and put what Tre and I had once shared behind me. It was time for a fresh start with someone new. Someone who wanted to be with me and only me. Someone who felt about me the way that I felt for them. I got out of the car and took the girls inside. Then I unpacked the car. I was tired and out of breath by the time that I
’d finished. I sat down on the sofa and relaxed for a minute. I hadn’t been home in months and the house had a funny smell to it. I made a mental note to do a thorough cleaning of the entire house the next day. I sat up and lit the candle that sat on the coffee table. Then I got up and got my phone from my pocketbook. Just as I was about to call Tre, my cell started to ring and Reggie’s name was flashing on the screen.

Four months later,

Things between Tremaine and I had become a lot more serious than what I’d initially planned. I’d even started to have feelings for him which definitely hadn’t been in my plans. He was only supposed to have been something to do. Someone to have a little bit of fun with but somehow he’d changed the game on me. He’d turned out to be a really good guy. He helped out with my daughter just like she was his own. He did things for me without me having to ask and most of all he treated me with respect. Mello had never treated me like that and to be honest it was refreshing but scary at the same time. I didn’t know how to take his behavior because I wasn’t used to it. I kept waiting for him to mess up and telling myself that I couldn’t fall for him. I’d been trying my best to keep my guard up and not let him get anywhere close to my heart but he was slowly tearing down that wall. Nelle had even changed her opinion of him. Now she was all for “us”.

Even though Tremaine and I had become really close that hadn’t changed the craving that I had for Corey. Every time that I saw him it became harder and harder for me to control myself. I’d even tried to stay away from him as much as possible but that was kind of hard because he and Nelle would pop up at my place all the time. Especially now that Tremaine and I had started dating. Corey and Tremaine seem to hit it off really well. The two of them had even hung out a couple of times, which was something that I wasn’t happy about at all. I didn’t want them hanging out, bonding and becoming boys. That made me feel some kind of way knowing that I had feelings for the both of them. What I felt for Corey was more so lust than actual feelings. I just needed to have one night with him so that I could get him out of my system and then we could move on like nothing ever happened. But I knew the chances of that happening were slim to none. I also knew that it was something that I shouldn’t be still thinking about. I kept telling myself over and over how wrong I was for even entertaining the idea of doing something like that. Nelle didn’t deserve that and neither did Tremaine. I just needed to forget about it but for some reason I couldn’t no matter how hard I tried.

It was Friday morning and Tremaine had spent the night at my house. The alarm clock went off letting us know that it was seven o’clock and time for him to get up for work. He’d gotten a new job and now worked at a seatbelt company in Boykins called Narricot. He’d been there for a little over a month and he seem to like it a lot.

I reached over and cut off the alarm. “Tremaine, wake up.” I called to him groggily.

He snuggled up closer to me and pulled me into his arms, planting a kiss on the back of my neck. “I don’t feel like getting up. I wish I could just lay right here with you all day.” He planted another kiss on my neck.

“I wish that you could too but you and I both have to go to work. Just look at it this way, today is the last day and you don’t have to go back until Monday.”

“Yeah, I guess that is one way to look at it.” He replied rubbing his hand up and down my thigh. “Can I get some before I go?”

“You’re going to be late for work.” I giggled already feeling my clit starting to throb. His sex game was on point. I saw why Lala and Kisha had been so crazy over him.

“No, I won’t.” He lifted up my legs and slid inside of me in one thrust. He moved in and out of me nice and slowly while caressing my breasts and kissing on my neck. “Mmmmm…you feel so good baby.” He whispered in my ear before licking my ear and then sucking on my earlobe.

I reached down underneath the covers, between my legs and began playing with my clit as he continued to thrust in and out of me. “Damn…go faster.” I told him. He did as he was told. He continued to caress my breasts and play with my nipples. I felt him grow harder and his moans grew louder at the same time. I flicked my fingers back and forth over my clit faster.

“Oh shit, I’m about to come.” Tremaine announced pulling out of me and at the same time flinging the covers back out of the way. He shot his load all over my hip. He reached beside the bed and grabbed a few napkins out of the box on the nightstand and cleaned me up. I laid there looking up at him with a disappointed look on my face. “What’s wrong baby?” He asked trying to catch his breath.

“Ummm…so is that how you are rolling now? You just leave me hanging after you get you?” He spread my legs apart and moved my hand out of the way. He replaced my fingers with his tongue and within a few seconds I had my legs locked on both sides of his head calling his name repeatedly.

The two of us took a shower together and then he left for work. After he left, I went and got Simya up and gave her a bath and then I cooked breakfast for the both of us. When we were done eating, I packed her diaper bag, gathered my things for work and we left. I dropped her off at my mama’s house and then went to the salon. When I got there Nelle and Mia were already there.

“Good morning cousins.” I greeted them as I walked in.

“Good morning.” They both replied.

“Don’t you look cute this morning?” Mia said checking out my outfit as I hung my jacket up on the coat rack. I had on a pair of black jeggings, a long sleeved black and silver top with a pair of black Uggs. “I love those boots girl.”

“Thank you.” I replied glancing down at my own outfit. “Are y’all going over to Ms. Lizzie’s card party tonight?” Ms. Lizzie was an older woman who ran a shot house where people went to drink, listen to music and play cards. She also sold some of the best chicken sandwiches that I’d ever eaten.

“Yeah, Corey and I are.” Nelle answered as she plugged in her curling irons and blow dryer.

“Ron said we might go, depending on how he feels when he get off.” Mia added. “We went over there about two weekends ago and Ron won six hundred dollars playing Tonk.”

“Oh shit! Tell Ron to let cuz hold something.” I joked.

“Heffa please, you know that my baby broke his wifey off with half of that!” Mia bragged placing her hand on her thick hip and snapping her fingers. “Are you and Tremaine going?”

“Yeah, he said that we were.”

“Awww, I love the two of you together.” Nelle all but sang smiling really big. “I will admit that I was totally against it in the beginning but Tre has changed a lot. I barely even see him without you and whenever we are all together he is so affectionate and sweet towards you.”

I rolled my eyes up in my head and waved her off. “Girl hush, he’s cool.”

“Shit, he’s better than Mello’s abusive ass!” Mia put in her two cents. “Have you heard anything from him?”

“Yeah, he calls all the damn time. I never pick up though. I do let his mama take Simya with her when she goes to visit him.”

“Hmph, I wouldn’t let my baby go down to a jail to see him.” Nelle said. “She doesn’t need to be going down there. I don’t care if he is her daddy. If he was a real daddy he wouldn’t have treated her mother the way that he did and he wouldn’t be in there.”

I let out a sigh. Maybe I was being a little bit too sensitive but almost everything that came out of Nelle’s mouth now-a-days somehow managed to pluck my damn nerves. Here she was yet again giving here opinion when no one had asked for it. Just because she wouldn’t allow her daughter to visit her daddy if he was locked up didn’t have anything to do with me or my decision to allow my daughter to visit her daddy. I decided not to reply to her last comment. Instead I busied myself setting up my things and getting ready for my clients that would be coming in soon.

The bell over the door sounded and Kim came in. “Hello everyone.”

“Hello.” We all spoke to her. A half hour later, clients started to come in and we all got busy. I had clients back to back all day which cause my day to go by fast.

When Tremaine and I arrived at Ms. Lizzie’s house the yard looked like a car lot. I spotted Corey and Nell’s car but I didn’t see Mia and Ron’s car. We went ahead inside, the first person that my eyes landed on when we got inside was Kisha. She was standing next to one of the card tables watching the game. Skeet was seated at the table playing cards. Corey was at the same table. I looked around and spotted Nelle talking to a few girls that was over in the living room area.

“I’m going to go over there with Nelle.” I told Tremaine.

“Okay.” He leaned over and gave me a peck on the lips and I went over to where Nelle was.

“What’s up?” I spoke to everyone once I’
d made my way over to Nelle.

The ladies that she was talking to spoke and she turned around and gave me a hug.
“Hey cuz.” She was sipping on a drink.

“Hey girl, what’s that you’re sipping on?” I asked pointing to the cup that she was holding in her hand.
