he’d wanted a woman this much. Why the fuck would someone as decadent as she prefer a buttoned-up man who likely gave her bland, vanilla

sex? He’d bet the man was a banker or businessman of some sort. Shit. Not the kind of man she needed.

She needed one who could give her all his time, all his attention, all his dick. She didn’t need a man she had to share with another woman. She

didn’t need a man who would lie to her. She needed a man who would lay with her and share their bed with no one but her.

“I haven’t done this kind of thing in while so I guess I’m just a little nervous. I thought I was ready to settle down, get serious, not jump into

rebound sex to boost my ego.”

Vinter laughed. “Nothing wrong with boosting your ego with a little over-the-top, out-of-this-world sex. Nothing wrong with rebound fun or

what we’re doing.” Which was so much more than rebound fun in his mind. “Trust me, I don’t mind helping you get over him if I can make you

feel great in the meantime.”

She grinned in return. It was the first full smile she’d given him and he loved it. It was beautiful, free, open. And if he didn’t keep his eyes on

the road, they’d have to put off sex for a while as they figured out how to get out of the ditch.

“You’re not my normal type either. Is that sad? I mean, you know, that I have a type? For some reason, I think it is. I want the house and the

picket fence. I want the relationship.”

“You want to be loved. What’s wrong with that? You should be loved, cared for. You should have what you want. You just have to be willing

to adjust what you think might get that for you.”

“I guess. I think you’d be damn dangerous to my libido, among other things.” She shrugged. “This isn’t like me, at least not the me I’ve become.

I’ve grown up. It’s not as easy for it to be just sex anymore. And then there’s you. I don’t know how to have sex with a man like you.”

“What does that mean? What is a ‘man like me’?”

“Dark. Dirty. Hard. Unconventional.”

Well, holy shit. He hadn’t expected that from her. It was blatant and honest and the most she’d said since he sat next to her in the bar. He reached over and snagged one of her hands in his, bringing it back to his lap and resting it on his crotch. He lifted his hips up and hissed through

his teeth when she cupped him. “The danger goes both ways, but it’ll all be okay. I promise. And I won’t let you get attached until you’re ready.”

“Until I’m ready, huh?” She squeezed him playfully and if she’d kept doing it, kept up the pressure, he’d come again. He wanted her to unbutton and unzip him, lower her head to his lap, and suck him until they got to his house. “Your jeans are wet.”

He smirked. “Yeah, no shit. It’s all your fault, too, but I bet yours are just as wet.”

“Nah. My panties caught it all. You can check them later if you want.”

Smartass. He let the cheeky comment hang between them while images flooded his mind of her panties drenched with her come. Damn. They

continued that way, with her hand folded around his cock, for the rest of the ride to his small house on the outskirts of town. It wasn’t much to look

at on the outside just yet, but he’d completely remodeled the inside over the last year and hadn’t had a woman over since he’d finished. He was

going to christen the place with this particular woman’s body.

He pulled into the drive, parked and turned off the ignition. Her hand rested limply between his legs, and when he looked over, he found her

asleep. He was stunned. His walking, talking wet dream had fallen asleep in the car. Though his dick hadn’t softened any, something inside him

did. Was she comfortable with him or was she just so exhausted that the drive relaxed her enough to let her rest? Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it

was the orgasm. Perhaps it was a combination of all of it. He didn’t know, either way, but he would take care of her. He unlatched her seat belt

before he got out on his side. Opening her door, he took the purse from her lap and set it on the roof of the car before leaning in to wake her.

Gently, he turned her face to him and kissed her eyelids. She moaned and nuzzled her cheek in his hand. She was so sweet to look at. He hated

that she’d been hurt, but he didn’t regret being the one who would get her through it to the other side. He knew what tonight was about and he was

okay with that. There might even be more than just tonight, but they’d take it one step at a time. He was nothing if not patient when he wanted

something and he damn sure wanted her. He knelt on the ground and leaned in to kiss the corner of her lips. “Wake up, baby. We’re here. Let’s get

you inside.”

After a few seconds of him rubbing his thumb over her cheek, her eyes fluttered open. “I fell asleep.”

Her voice was all soft, sexy sleepiness. He smiled. “Yes, you did.”

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. C’mon, I’ll help you out of the car.” He took her hand in his and let her take her time getting up out of the deep bucket seat. He

grabbed her purse from the roof, closed the door and walked her slowly up to the front of the house, holding her close against his side. He pressed

the lock button on the key fob for the car, then inserted the house key and unlocked the door, ushering her inside.

“Kick off your shoes,” he murmured once they were in the house.

She leaned back against the door and did as he said. He hadn’t noticed her pretty painted toenails before now, but heavens when she toed off

her sandals, her bright pink toes winked at him in the hallway light. Was there going to be anything at all about this woman that didn’t make him

want to throw her down and rut like an animal? Because so far, everything she did made him want to stuff himself inside her, feel her close around

him, and fuck. She had the body of a pin-up girl from way back when and while she wasn’t his regular type, as he wasn’t hers, perhaps things were

about to change for both of them.

With her head reclining back and her dreamy, half-closed eyes gazing at him, he stripped her of her shirt and bra. She never protested, just moved her body to accommodate him and made it easier for him to undress her. His breath caught in his throat when he had her naked from the

waist up.

Her breasts were full and would overflow his hands, but not by much, and he had to fist them to keep from reaching out. His fingers itched to

tug on her nipples, make her gasp as he twisted them, rolled them and bit them. He didn’t do any of that right then, only trailed the tips of his

fingers over the pale, plump mounds.

“Do you want to sleep naked, in panties or in one of my shirts?” he asked as he went to work on her jeans. The snap was popped and the zipper pulled down and then he was pushing them down over her full hips and legs until she could step out of them. He didn’t know what it was

about her that compelled him. She wasn’t dressed to pick up a guy, hadn’t been looking to do it. She’d been dressed as though she were going to

have a casual dinner with some friends. Her jeans hugged the curve of her hips and the dip of her waist, molding around her ass, though they weren’t tight on her. Her bra was serviceable, plain, no adornments or lacy trim. It did nothing more than hold her tits in. It was designed for function, not for seduction. But everything about her when she’d looked at him in the bar screamed “fuck me”.

He took a step back and just stared at her, his mind filled with all the things he wanted to do to her, his cock filled to unbearable hardness. She

was lush and gorgeous standing there in black lace panties that covered her lower belly and her hips. Her curves should be on display all the time,

minimally covered and marked by a lover. He’d be lucky if he didn’t come in his jeans again just by looking at her.

“Panties and a tee shirt.”

“No, you get to choose only one.” Taking her by the hand again, he led her through the darkened living room to the bedroom. He tugged her

inside and turned on a lamp. Damn, he should have made the bed. The blankets and sheets were strewn in all directions, one pillow rested on the

floor, two more were piled one on top of the other against the headboard. He looked down at her, an apology on his tongue at the mess that greeted

them, but the longing in her face as she looked at the bed erased the feeling. He left her in the doorway and went to right the covers and rearrange

the pillows. “What’s it going to be?”

“Both please,” she whispered, a blush stealing through her cheeks and shoulders.

How could he deny her? “Okay, baby. I’ll let you have both tonight. Tomorrow night though, only one. Understand?”

She nodded and he walked to his dresser. He pulled the second drawer and snagged an old, soft shirt. Her eyes were closed as he stepped in

front of her again. “Lift your arms up. Good girl.” He slipped the shirt over her hands and head, letting it fall around her body. It came to rest just

below her ass. He’d never seen anything quite as sweet and sexy as her half asleep in his shirt. “Come get in the bed.”

She was on the mattress without having to be told twice, her full tits bouncing and swaying beneath the threadbare cotton. He pulled the covers

over her after she curled on her side. Vinter knelt to be at eye level with her and brushed her hair back over her ear.

“I’m sorry I’m not much fun tonight. Drinking makes me sleepy. And the orgasm really made me feel good. You’re very nice to let me sleep

here.”

“It’s all right. I’ll let you make it up to me in the morning.”

“Be glad to.” Her eyes were closing when he leaned in to kiss her. She was asleep before he pulled back and it was a long time before he stood

and began undressing himself.

He could have offered to take her home and picked her up the next morning to go get her car from the bar parking lot. He could have put her in

the second bedroom. He could have kept her awake with mind-blowing sex. But none of that appealed at the moment. Well, except for the mind-

blowing sex part. Ever since he realized she was asleep in the car, the need to comfort her and care for her came back again. He’d pushed it to the

back burner outside the bar in the face of the raw sexual chemistry that burned between them. It was back now though, and something inside him

wouldn’t let her wake up alone.

After turning off the light in the entryway and taking her purse back into the bedroom so that it would be close by for her, Vinter stripped off

his now-sticky jeans and his tee shirt and went into the bathroom. Emerging a few minutes later after brushing his teeth, taking a piss, and washing

the dried come off his cock, he crawled into the bed. He wrapped himself against her from behind and smiled in the darkness when she snuggled

closer, fitting herself into the planes and angles of his body. Something about her soothed something inside him and he wasn’t sure how to interpret

it. He wasn’t going to second-guess it though, either.

“Mmmm, you’re warm. I like it,” she mumbled.

“Good.” He kissed the top of her head. He liked it, too.

“You’re the hottest man I know. Way out of my league.”

She yawned during the last of her words and burrowed deeper into the bed, into him. Out of her league? What the hell did that mean? He wasn’t out of any woman’s league and he’d never considered himself anything special. No, he was just a man who liked what he liked whether it

was a new tat, a new piercing, or hot, call-the-fire-department sex with a curvy, hot, call-the-fire-department woman.

He buried his face in her hair and inhaled. She smelled like paradise. He hadn’t spent the night with a woman he had yet to fuck in more years

than he could count. Moreover, sleep was rarely ever involved. There was a strange closeness in his current situation, a connection that was more

intimate than sexual and at the same time highly erotic. She was sexy and the little snore when she inhaled was cuter than shit. He honestly couldn’t

have wanted her more if she were riding his dick. Okay, well, maybe…

Sliding a hand under the bottom of the tee shirt she wore, he cupped one of her full tits with the nipple pebbled against his palm and closed his

eyes, willing sleep to take him before he rolled her over, pulled her panties to the side, and rode her until they both passed out from exhaustion.

Elise came awake slowly, but snuggled deeper into the covers. It was still dark in the room and she could hear rain falling heavily outside. The

warm, all-male body that was pressed against her brought all her nerve endings to life and she couldn’t mistake the hardness throbbing against her

ass or that the tee shirt was bunched up over her hips.

When he rolled away from her after kissing her shoulder and got out of the bed, she pretended to be sleeping still. She needed a little time to

collect herself before she faced him. Last night’s spur-of-the-moment, need-to-get-out-of-the-house venture into a bar on an unknown side of town

made her groan inwardly. Not only had she wandered into a bar alone, but she’d thrown herself at Tattoo Man, or rather she’d thrown herself against him outside. It wasn’t like her to attack a stranger and then let him hoist her up against the wall and hump her, even if they were both still

fully clothed. It wasn’t like her to take a stranger up on his offer of fucking her either.

In her real life, she was more responsible than that, more logical than impulsive, but the man, Vinter, spoke to her on levels she had never thought would be awakened by a living, breathing man. Even his name was hot and it so fit him. In her fantasy life though, she was a sex kitten,

hungry, ravenous for a man like the one whose bed she currently lay in.

Of course, she’d fallen asleep in his car, which only added to her embarrassment. God, what must he think of her? It was more than likely not

that she wasn’t a sex kitten and that what happened against the wall outside the bar was an aberration. She pulled the covers up over her head and
