Chapter Sixteen

Six

I hear him enter the room.  I can tell he's stressed by the way he's moving around the room.  His shower is short, and he smells so fucking good when he wraps me in his arms.  He moves his body against my back and I'm instantly wanting more.  He's so tender with me, yet in charge of everything we do.  He makes the calls and I'm willing to let him.  The anticipation of what he'll do next has me on edge and makes everything so much better with him.

Having sex with him beats any that I've had in the past.  There's just no comparison to the way he touches me.  If I didn't know better, I'd swear he's making love to me.

I turn my head to the side until our mouths meet.  His kiss is gentle this time as he moves into me.  His body fits mine.  It doesn't get any better than this.

He rolls his hips into me, thrusting even deeper each time.  His grip on my hair as he twists it into his fist sends a spark of pain through my scalp and straight through to my core.  I love having my hair pulled.  If he spanks my ass, I'm marrying him.

"Where have you been all my life?"  His grumble across my ear goes right through me.  I've been so fucking lost.  That's where I've been.

He pulls out, slowly kissing down my back.  He rolls me over before he starts kissing my legs, back, ass, and every part of me he missed in the shower earlier.

I let him cherish me.  It's oddl
y
erotic when he kisses each of my finger tips and sucks on my toes, but I let him know just how much I appreciate it as he passes each sensitive spot.

He pushes my legs apart, sliding his tongue up the inside of my thighs as he does.  I want to ride his beard the second he touches me with it.  Holy fucking hell.  Why have I never done this with a bearded man before?

He licks, sucks, flicks, and nibbles his way inside me.  Inside my body, inside my mind, and dare I say... inside my heart.  I've dreamt about this man and often wondered what he'd be like if I could ever see him in person.  Now that I have him with me, I'm not sure I want to ever let him go.

It's been so fast, yet has taken so fucking long to be like this with him.  I don't do this.  I don't fall quickly.  Hell, I've never fallen before.  I just don't do it.

He unravels me all night long.  Over and over again and we both fall asleep hard as soon as he releases inside me.  Thank god for birth control, because I never want to feel anything other than him inside me when I'm with him.

Last night was exhausting; the shit in the alley and the all night sex both.  I wake to the sun shining on the bed, Blade is gone and I have the bed to myself.  I look down and see my naked chest just freely showing and instantly cover myself.  What if someone walks in here?  I really shouldn't sleep naked.  I don't like to be covered up with blankets, so it really is a hazard to sleep naked.

I take my time in the shower and just as much time fixing my hair.  I need to feel good about myself today, so spending the extra time on me is deserved.

Opening the door to the bottom level, I listen to see if I can hear anyone.  When I don't hear anything, I walk out into the open, looking at everything in the main part of the house.  It's full of memorabilia and pictures.  I find myself walking down the wall filled with all the men of the MC, both present and past.  It brings a smile to my face to see so many men a part of the club that is trying to help me stay safe.

Blade's picture must've been years ago.  He looks much older now.  In fact, I'm not too sure that picture isn't from when I first met him fifteen years ago.  'President' is such a notable position.  I'm sure he deserves it.

I see Switch, Beast, Trap, then my heart falls.  I look closer, hoping to hell I'm wrong, but I know right off that I'm not.  I'll never forget that face.  I have to get the fuck out of here NOW.

I'm not even sure where I'll go, I just know I have to leave here.  I say a silent prayer that he doesn't know I'm here.  I take notice of the name at the bottom of the picture and search the house for a set of keys.  Any keys.  I'll even drive a fucking motorcycle out of here if it'll get me away.

I start thinking of any other options I have.  My dad is the only other thought that enters my head.  He's never been a real father to me.  I'm not sure why I think he'd be any different with this, but I'm going to have to try.  I can't stay here and I can never ask Piper to leave her brother now that she has a real chance to get to know her family.

Someone obviously wants me dead and I refuse to allow a blood war to prevent it, let alone something like this.  Blade will never be able to accept this, not to mention the lives of those men last night were lost because of me.

I spot a set of keys on the bar, and hit the button, hoping to see Blade's truck light up when I open the door to the garage.  It does.  "Sorry Blade.  I promise to get it back to you as soon as I can."

Sitting in his truck, I pull up Google and enter the name of the man I just saw in that picture.  I need to know what area to avoid and I hope his address is listed.

Chapter Seventeen

Blade

"Where the fuck is my truck?"  I bust through the door to the house to find no one listening to me.  My sister probably borrowed it, but it would be fucking nice of her to ask before she just takes it.  I text her to see where she's at.

Blade:  Where the fuck is my truck?

She walks out of the back room.  "How would I know?  Where did you leave it?"  I look at her, shocked to see her.

"Have you seen Six today?"

"No.  I'm letting her recover this morning."  I take two steps at a time as I race up to see if she's up there.  I know she's gone as soon as I open the door.  Rushing back down, I realize I don't even have her number.

"Shit.  She's gone.  Tell me what her number is so I can call her to get some guys on her."  Piper spits out her number as I dial it, only to be sent straight to voice mail.

"Fuck."  I send her a text while I try to think of where the fuck she'd go.

Blade:  Where are you?  This is Blade.  I need to get guys on you.  You're not safe.

She doesn't respond.  I text Shadow to get a location on my truck and thank fuck that I had that installed on all of our vehicles.

Blade:  I need to know where my truck is located right now.

Shadow:  Give me a minute.  I'll have it for you.

I wait for his text for what seems like forever as I throw a new shirt on.  I should've stayed home from that run this morning.  How the hell was I to know she'd leave?  Why the fuck would she leave?

Shadow:  1010 West Cherokee.

"What the fuck?"  I'm instantly confused.  Why would she go there?  I slide my leg over my bike and race to his house.  I've been there many times lately, but this time feels like it's taking forever as the road seems to get longer and longer as I watch my phone, waiting for her to respond.  If she's at his house she should at least be safe, but I can't help but feel like something is wrong.

I open the door, to a sight I wasn't prepared for.  Six has a gun in each hand.  One pointed at his head, the other at his dick.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?"  Tex grabs his dick and starts stuttering.

"Crazy bitch.  I don't even know who you are."

"DID YOU ENJOY FUCKING HER BEFORE YOU KILLED HER?"  Oh fuck.  What is going on?

She turns one of the guns on me as soon as she hears me, backing away and forcing distance between us.

"What are you doing, Six?"

"HE WAS THERE THAT NIGHT.  HE'S THE ONE THAT'S AFTER ME."

"Wait.  This is Tex.  He would never hurt a woman."

"I FUCKING SAW HIM, BLADE.  HIS HAIR WAS RED THEN."  Red.

"Blade.  This bitch is crazy.  I have never seen her in my life."

"LET ME FUCKING REFRESH YOUR MEMORY OLD FUCK.  BLONDE HAIR.  SIX YEARS OLD.  IN A TINY ROOM WHILE YOU RAPED MY MOM BEFORE YOU KILLED HER."  She moves closer to him, pointing both guns on him again.  She's trembling.

I look at Tex.  I watch him as the look of realization flows over his face.  He did this.  He was a part of that night.  The night where an innocent woman was tortured to death and her child was left with a child rapist.

Absolute disgust consumes me.  I sit down in the chair, trying to understand how this could be.  How could I love someone like a father, who is actually worse than the father I hate?

"Tex.  Tell me what your involvement is with Ed Douglas."  She's still aiming both guns at him.  I prepare myself for what he has to say.

"Blade.  It's old business.  The MC is different now.  There's no reason to bring all that shit up."  He reaches for a Tootsie Roll and Six pulls the trigger, blowing the fucking bowl of candy into pieces and scaring the shit out of all of us.

"What the fuck, lady.  You almost shot me."

"I hit exactly what I aimed for.  The next shot I take will make you scream."  She lowers one of the guns to point at his dick once again.  He grabs it again, trying to protect it and I start to remember things from my past.

"Ed Douglas.  What do you know about him?"

"He owed the club money.  We went to collect."  Six gets stir crazy with his reply.

"This isn't about fucking money.  You don't rape and kill over money."  He sits up in his chair better; I can see his eyes searching for an escape.  What he doesn't realize is she's not the one he needs to be trying to get away from.

"TEX.  Tell me what in the fuck had you killing Annie Douglas and nearly allowing Ed's daughter to follow in her footsteps?  Quit fucking around and tell me."

He looks at me with a look of defeat.  Sadness washes over him and I watch him struggle to speak.

"Blade.  You're my boy.  My son.  I'd never do anything to hurt you."  I reach out and run my hand over Six's arm, sliding it down until my hand is over the gun aimed at his head.  She looks at me with an uncertainty and I nod, before I slip it out of her fingers.  I let her keep the one aimed at his dick.

"My father wouldn't rape a woman.  He wouldn't have to.  My father doesn't kill innocent women or children.  He's helped me rid the streets of many dead beat parents who beat their children.  My father doesn't send eight fucking men out to pick up a woman.  A woman who just happened to be with my sister."

"Alright, I'll give you the real story.  Ed hired us to kill his wife."

"LIAR.  He wouldn't do that."

"Said he had a policy out on her and we'd get paid once he collected."  She drops the gun and leans against the wall as he continues to talk.  "He never paid."

"Maybe he didn't appreciate you raping her."

"He actually paid more to make sure we did, said he caught her fucking some guy and wanted her to pay."  She raises her gun again and I wait for her to pull the trigger because honestly, I would.  I would shoot him in his fucking mouth for agreeing to do such a heinous job.

"How did you sleep at night?"  She's no longer yelling.  Her tears muffle her words as she speaks with repulsion on her face.

"Shit went south fast on that deal.  We've spent years trying to get away from that type of business."

"Why did you send your gorillas after me last night, then?"

"I didn't.  I'm laid up in this chair."

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU.  THEY REMEMBERED ME.  WHO ELSE WAS THERE THAT NIGHT?  I WANT FUCKING NAMES."

"Memphis was there."  He's one of the other original members of our club.

"Do you know why he would put out an order on her?"

"Ed is preparing to run for President next year.  I can only assume it's a way to remind him of his roots."

"WHO ELSE?"  I'm going to have to think about bringing her to trial.  She's fucking terrifying.

"There were five men there that night besides me, Memphis, and the man Blade killed.  Three of them have died since."

"So that leaves two.  We know at least one was there at the attack last night."  I do the math quickly, attempting to narrow it down.

"I want names.  I need to know who I'm running from."  She's irritated and I don't blame her.

"I'm not letting you run.  I'll take care of you."

"I can't ask you to risk any more than you already have.  There's been too many people killed and this is a fucking mess."

"Tex.  I'm going to ask you to do something. Call Memphis over, but first let me get my guys in here to record it.  He’ll talk to you."

"I can do that."

I turn to Six and plead with her to let him help bait Memphis into talking.

"He’ll pay for what he did to your mom, but first we need to work to make sure you're safe."  She rightfully hesitates, looking at him once again before handing me the other gun.  I get on the phone with Shadow instantly and have him on his way with everything we need.

I turn back around to hear Tex talking to Six.

"So you're Tori.  I was told about you from a few of the guys.  It looks like you've got my son all tied up.  Can't say I blame him."  She's not impressed.  Tex isn't used to not winning over the ladies.  I don't think he has a chance in hell at winning this battle.

"Shadow is on his way.  Text Memphis in about an hour and have him come over.  I'll hide our vehicles in your barn out back and we’ll be upstairs."

"I can do this, but get me some more fuckin Tootsies.  How am I supposed to act normal if I don't have a cigarette or candy in my mouth?"  I look over at the bullet hole in the table and decide it's something that needs covered.  I set a magazine on it, grab the candy from the floor and set it in his lap.  She picks up the glass and hands him another bowl from the kitchen.

"Where’s Marie?"  Shit, that's all I need is her walking in here during all of this bullshit.

"She was here this morning.  She’ll be back tomorrow."  He begins reaching for his remote and turns on the TV.  I guess this would be the normal scene.

Shadow arrives and secures the hidden camera quickly.  We move upstairs before Memphis arrives and wait, watching the old man eat that mother fuckin candy.

I slide my hand over her back while we wait on the doorbell to ring.  It finally does and she watches the screen intently, waiting for information she may never want to know.

"COME IN.  Not sure why you're knocking.  You know I can't fucking answer it for you."

"Oh horse shit.  You're still a gripey old bastard."  Memphis enters, already telling Tex off.  They've always been like this.

"What’ve you been up to?"  Tex starts quizzing right away.

"Oh same ole shit."

"Yeah?  You know anything about that attack on two of our MC guys last night?"

"Sounds like shit got out of hand."

"Apparently it did.  You know who called that order to pick up that Douglas girl?"

"I did."  Six tenses up, and I grab her hand to keep her steady.  She's ready to attack, but we continue to watch from upstairs.

"What's the purpose?"  Tex is smooth about his conversation.

"That dick head Ed.  He thinks he's gonna run for President when the only reason he has money is because he had his wife murdered."

"Don't you think the girl has suffered enough?  Why'd you have the guys do that?"

"I told them to bring her to me alive.  I figured if they roughed her up some, it would show him we mean business, but they had strict orders to keep her alive."

"Your thugs didn't make it."

"No.  Blade got there and fucked the whole thing up.  He seems to always step in when it comes to that girl."

"He does.  Some of the guys say she's a special one for him."  Tex unrolls another piece of candy.

"Shit.  He would block me from making sure Ed can't run."

"Whatever happened to Ed paying us for that job?"

"Shit.  That slimy fucker still owes half that money."

"What do you mean half?"

"He never paid the last payment."

"Well it's news to me that he paid the first."

"Ah, bullshit.  You knew."

"I think I'd remember that kind of money."

"So, what's your plan with the girl?"  I see Tex moving around in his recliner some.  He reaches his arm down like he’s going to lower his legs.

"Just gonna remind him what can happen."

"No you're not.  We’re done with that shit.  I told you years ago that our MC isn't doing that kind of work."

"I'll step away from the club then."

"Blade is my son.  He is the President now and he calls the shots.  The MC will not tolerate violence on innocent women or children.  You know, he changed my life."

"I know he did."

"He made me want to be a better person.  He made me want to do good for people."

"Why are you talking in past tense?"

"Because it's all in the past."  Tex lifts a gun and shoots Memphis.  He drops instantly and before I can get down the stairs, I hear a second shot.

CHAPTER BREAK

Six

It's been three weeks since I found out the truth about my parents.  The police arrested my dad after a few days of investigations.  I don't know how to feel about Tex.  He helped me solve it all, but he was involved in the whole thing to start with.  I keep going back to his face that night.  He told that guy to take me home.  He couldn't be all bad if he tried to get me out of there.  He put me in the path of Blade and for that reason I was safe.

Tex shot himself right after he shot Memphis.  Watching more death made me know I had to walk away from everything I knew and that included Piper.  I want her to know her brother and there's no doubt that he’ll make sure she's safe.

I moved back to Madison.  I have a few extended family members here.  It's not that they ever acknowledge me, but at least they're here.  I can say I live near family.

Tonight is my first night behind the bar at Grizzly’s.  It's a big fight night, so they've called us all in to cover.
