“Give it to me. Hard. Fuck me like the boss you are.”
His lip snarled, and fangs protruded from his mouth, hips still bucking against her. “Don’t taunt me.”
“Do it, Gavin.” Fingers dug into her ass, and her breasts bounced with each hard slam. Faster and faster. Powerful. The thwacking of wet skin beat out an erotic cadence that rippled through her body, electrifying her. She licked her lips and tipped her head back against the wall, opening her mouth, preparing for the onslaught building between her thighs. “Fuck me. Fuck me.”
“That’s my girl.” Gavin’s ragged whisper tickled her ear. “So bad. You need to be punished.”
“Yes. Punish me.”
A hard slap against her ass jerked her forward. Goddamn, it felt good. Never once did Gavin break stride. “Again. Punish me again.”
Another smack against her ass had her chewing the inside of her lip.
“Oh, Gavin, I’ve been so bad.” One more of his slaps and she’d catapult.
His finger slid down her back to the juncture of her ass and Gavin slipped inside. Sabelle’s eyes widened, momentarily mortified. That was not the punishment she’d been referring to. No man had ever put a finger
there
.
“Shhhhh.” He nipped at her ear. “Be a good girl.”
Water trickled as a reminder she was as clean as she was going to be. And if she had to be honest with herself, it was kind of hot and taboo—all the things she’d never allowed herself. All the fun, explorative sex she’d never dabbled in.
One night.
Let it go. Lose control
.
She relaxed her muscles once more and Gavin resumed his probing from both ends.
“You feel sublime,” he whispered. “I want you to shatter for me. Fucking come apart.”
She could hardly form a word as the orgasm fringed closer. So close. His pace never once faltered, as he jack-hammered her from both sides.
Her stomach tightened, muscles taut. Lip caught between her teeth; brows drawn.
She parted her lips and screamed with the orgasm crashing over her. “Gavin! Gavin! Oh! Yessssss!”
His curses followed, and he removed his finger, bracing a hand against the wall as he juddered in her grasp. His fist hit the wall, and Sabelle flinched, head snapped to the side where he’d cracked the tile. A long droning moan ended in another shudder, and he rested his head against her shoulder.
“You’re amazing, woman. Simply amazing.” Another tremor signaled ongoing release.
Setting her feet back to the floor, he pulled out, and his brows knitted.
“What’s wrong?” Sabelle looked down to see the tip of the condom had blown out—literally frayed along his shaft. The pieces drifted along the water, collecting in the drain.
“Fuck. I think it was the friction.” He slid the remaining bits off his shaft and opened the shower door, tossing them into the trash.
Sabelle would be inclined to dismiss it, as demons rarely came unless bonded to a woman. The night before, when she’d visited him down in the cellar, though, proved he
could
come. “Gavin … do you release
every
time during your Savidon?”
A contemplative look on his face told her the same thoughts were plaguing his mind, as well. “No. And, unfortunately, it’s been centuries since I’ve known the sensation to say for certain if it just happened. We climax as any normal male would. Ejaculation comes when we claim our mates.”
“Last night you ejaculated.”
“I suspect because I’d bitten my arm. Perhaps my body mistook it.”
Yes, he’d gotten pretty worked up. “And so … you didn’t bite into my neck this time.”
“Did you feel it? Inside?”
“Ordinarily, I would, but the water trickling and the …”
Pleasure, power, mind-blowing orgasm.
“I can’t say for sure.”
“We’ll have to be careful.” He palmed her face. “I don’t want you to feel an ounce of regret.”
She wasn’t ready to confess the fact that Jeven had fathered her children. She’d only ever told Denya and Nola, and only because she trusted the two of them more than anyone. But as a result of her pregnancy with her pimp, Sabelle happened to be sterile. She stroked a hand down his cheek. “I don’t.”
Gavin lifted his head and slammed his lips against hers. Violent. Greedy. A kiss that stated:
you belong to me
—and, sweet merciful gods, she did.
His lazy laugh broke her concentration and the kiss. “Did you feel what just happened there? In a matter of twenty minutes, I was fucking owned.
Just a mom
, my ass.”
“Or my ass, as the case may be.”
Gavin chuckled against her lips. “Let’s get you rinsed off and move this party to the bed.”
“There’s more of that?”
“There’s a lot more of that. Tonight I’m going to show you everything you’ve denied yourself. I want to know every one of your desires.”
“My desires?” A dangerous enticement for a succubus.
“Every one of them.” Another kiss to her neck, and he pushed off the wall. “Unless what happened a moment ago has you feeling hesitant.”
“As long as we’re careful, no. Crazy but careful.” She smiled. Sabelle didn’t want to give him the impression she was so careless with every man—a typical trait of the succubi.
“Good.” The water flipped off, and Gavin reached outside the shower stall, coming back with a towel.
“This could be a long night.”
He patted his face and held the towel for a moment before leaning into to her, hands and towel braced against the wall. “I
guarantee
this will be a long night, beautiful.”

Stories of the Greek gods decorated the room, as Sabelle lay tangled in the sheets, while Gavin stroked her hair, reading from an old, leather-bound book. The heady scent of sex still clung to the air, and coupled with Gavin’s deep, penetrating voice, Sabelle could feel her body coming alive for more.
For hours, he’d kept her from climax—teasing, taunting, tickling her right to the pinnacle, but never allowing her over the edge. They’d already explored just about every position Sabelle had ever fantasized, and she’d have never contorted her body if Gavin hadn’t shown her how. Though, she’d been less than open about them, he just seemed to know what her body needed. When the orgasm finally hit, it’d come in waves.
Gavin seemed to covet the secret to rippling O’s, and Sabelle couldn’t even pinpoint what exactly he’d done to trigger it. Whether his tongue, his fingers, or his cock, the man exercised his assets like a master swordsman. Confidence dominated his every move, every touch, every word that spilled from his mouth like a liquor buzz.
The man lived sex.
Breathed sex.
Could pretty much qualify as a walking sexicle.
Even then, as they lay exhausted and sweaty, his hands drifted over her body, rubbing a thumb against her nipple and toying with her breasts as he read aloud.
She felt ravenous. Hungry. The problem with a first orgasm? The side effect of needing more. Had Gavin been human, he’d probably be dead.
Still, she didn’t feel weakened. Didn’t feel the pull to take life. She’d experienced her renoshza, the one event in a succubus’s life that set a murderous craving into play, and yet, the only hunger rapping at her body was the feel of Gavin filling her once more.
He set the book down and rolled over on top of her, as she lay on her stomach, arms folded beneath her chin. Keeping his weight off her, Gavin straddled her back. Fingers dug into her muscles, and it suddenly occurred to Sabelle how beaten her body must’ve been over the course of the evening, because those fingers felt like pure magic.
He kissed along her spine between massages and covered her body with this, his hands gripping her elbows. “What are you thinking about?”
“I think it’s strange that I’m not trolling the streets for souls right now.” She turned her head to the side. “Here, I’ve experienced renoshza. Had multiple orgasms over the course of hours. I should be starving for souls. My mother would’ve been.”
“You’re not your mother.” Another kiss to her shoulder cast a shiver down her spine.
“All those years I avoided it, worried I’d turn into a monster.” She laughed. “If I’d just done it, maybe I wouldn’t have been so ornery.”
His hands smoothed along her curves. “I don’t want to think about another male bringing you that kind of release.”
“Mister Wrath, are you
jealous
?”
His mouth brushed her ear. “Murderously so.”
“What about you? You’ve not had an urge to change into a wild brute and bite the hell out of my throat?”
“I wouldn’t say that.” He pushed her hair up off the back of her neck and playfully bit her nape—no fangs, just the dull edge of his teeth.
She giggled and jerked against him.
“You’ve successfully kept him away. Whatever power you wield, it’s stronger than I am, because I’m pretty sure I’d have you strapped to the bed for the next week while I ravage every inch of this beautiful body.” His breath feathered her neck. “I don’t know how you do it, but it’s certainly kept me content to have you in my bed.”
“By the way, whatever happened to having Ben chain you up?”
“Are you feeling unsafe?”
“No.” She grinned. “Maybe I want to take advantage of you.”
His sigh accompanied a shift of his body onto the bed next to her, and Sabelle rose up onto her elbows.
“What is it?”
“
It
is a nagging sensation in the back of my head, and the realization that I can’t change your mind.”
She rolled onto her side, resting her head on her propped hand. “The
it
you’re referring to wouldn’t happen to be the mission, would it?”
He fell onto his back, folding his arms beneath his head. “Being with you every night hasn’t made it easier for me to accept the possibility of you getting hurt.”
Sabelle blew an exasperated breath and settled against his chest. “I won’t, Gavin. I’ll do whatever is in my power to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
His sobering gaze lowered to hers, dark with determination. “And I’ll do everything in mine to make sure it doesn’t come to that.”
CHAPTER 16
Gavin sat at his desk, reading through books—textbooks from the underworld that, unfortunately, gave very little insight into the Sang. Only the Cartazmus would carry the complete story of what happened in what the demons referred to as the Plague of the underworld. He scratched his jaw, huffing at the sketchy details that offered nothing, for all the reading he’d done that morning.
A loud pop piqued his ears, right before a thump hit his forehead and a plastic suction dart bounced onto his desk. With a frown, Gavin picked it up, and his eyes flickered toward the doorway, where laughter revealed the culprits.
Sabelle rose from her crouch, covering her mouth in a poor attempt to stifle her amusement. Thomas didn’t try as hard, still rolling on the floor, clutching his stomach while howling with mirth.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to break your concentration. You just looked so … so …” She broke into hysterical laughter once more. “We found these in the Wreck room. I’m sorry. We’ll leave you alone.”
Gavin shook his head. “Zeke and his stupid toys.” He subtly opened the desk drawer beside him and ,without warning, pulled a Nerf gun and snapped a dart.
It hit dead center on Sabelle’s forehead before falling to the floor, and her eyes widened, mouth gaping, while Thomas pointed at her, falling backward again with laughter.
“I’m afraid two can play at that game.” Gavin aimed his gun for another blast.
A wicked smile lit her face, and she dove behind the chair, popping another flyaway dart.
Gavin sank beneath his desk, popped up to shoot a miss, and dropped again. He army-crawled, coming around the desk.
Thomas choked, coughing with giggles as he rolled across the floor, and Gavin paused, to check the choking subsided before taking shelter behind an adjacent chair as two more darts flew past. After peeking around the corner for more missiles, he made his move, pouncing after Sabelle.
“Damn it!” She laughed, loading another dart into the chamber of her gun.
Gavin scrambled toward her, knocking her to the floor, where he straddled her body in a wrestling match of swinging limbs and laughter. He propped himself up on his arms and felt the plastic tip pressed into his chest.
She held it there, her smile widening then flickering to seriousness before she stemmed another grin. “Give me everything you’ve got, and I’ll let you walk away unharmed.”
Gavin’s jaw shifted. “You’ve already got what matters most. And I’ve no intentions of walking away. So shoot me.”
She bit her lip. “I don’t want to.”
Chest heaving, Gavin stared down at her lips. He’d have kissed them already, if not for Thomas behind them, picking up the darts all over the floor.
“Oh, heavens!”
Gavin’s head snapped to the door, where Anna stood with Janie.
“I’m sorry, Master, and uh … Miss. Janie was looking for her mother, is all.”
Gavin pushed to his knees and cleared his throat. “We were … just …”
Anna’s eyes scanned the floor, where only a few darts remained. “Yes, I see.” She gave a knowing smile. “Perhaps I’ll take the children outside to play?”
Thomas squealed, dropping the darts onto the table, and ran out of the office toward Anna’s outstretched hand. “Enjoy your … game,” she said over her shoulder before closing the door behind her.
Gavin fell forward, caging Sabelle beneath him. “The next time you decide to interrupt my work …” He kissed her neck. “You better wear something you don’t mind having ripped to shreds.”
“What? You don’t like a T-shirt and jeans?”
“Yes, I do. But ripping jeans isn’t as fun. Gets stuck in my teeth.”
She blew out a laugh and wrapped her arms around his neck. “I like watching you work. Makes me want to loosen that tie and slide onto your lap.”
“Then, what do you say we pick this up later? Meet me in my office, say, as soon as the kids fall asleep?”
“Mmmm. We’ve got some business to discuss.”
“I’m not discussing shit.” He nudged her with his erection. “The only talking I’ll be doing is in tongues. You’ve got me so strung out right now.”
