It was part of Sol’s dark nature. He couldn’t resist its call. Without warning, he struck, sinking his teeth into Lucien’s shoulder, pulling deeply on the man’s blood. He allowed the bitter taste to coat the inside of his mouth. Lucien’s loud groan of pain and pleasure barely penetrated Sol’s high. Now, wherever Lucien went, Sol would able to find him. The man would forever be a part of Sol, just as Bailey was.

Even though it had been nature driving him, Sol had known what he was about. He’d stolen Lucien’s ability to sneak away with Bailey ever again. If Lucien wanted Bailey, he had to accept Sol as well. They were a package deal. Having gotten what he was after, Sol waved away the chains binding Lucien before easing the pair to the floor. He took great pains to ensure Bailey wasn’t crushed beneath them. Lucien surprised him with his continued acceptance of Sol’s intrusion. In fact, he seemed to revel in it, keeping his hips tilted for Sol’s dick as he pounded away inside Bailey.

Sol accepted his gift, fucking the man’s ass and losing himself in the pleasure. Lucien felt so hot, squeezing Sol’s cock. The tightness was almost crippling. Sol changed angles, going deeper, and making sure he hit all the right places, making Lucien come unglued.

He felt Bailey’s orgasm hit. Her pleasure pulled Sol under, stealing his orgasm before he was prepared to give it. Lucien groaned and his ass clamped down on Sol’s dick. Sol sucked a hiss through his teeth, unsure if he’d be able to walk afterward. He held still, trying to breathe through the pairs emotions as they both came beneath him. Times such as this could end up being the death of them all… if they could die.

With the barest of thoughts, Sol willed them into bed. He wanted Lucien to stay a while, but Sol needed to leave. “Will you stay?” he asked, speaking low against Lucien’s ear. Lucien nodded. “Good,” Sol praised as he repositioned their bodies and took control. Holding on to them both, Sol leaned in and captured their mouths. Their tongues entwined. Sol couldn’t remember a time when he’d tasted so much dark and light simultaneously. He didn’t want to leave, but he had an appointment he never missed. One he would never share with Bailey. Not to mention, the pair in his arms wouldn’t speak freely with him hanging around. They needed to before this became tiresome. They could keep Lucien or Sol could kill him. Sol was fine with either, but they needed to decide.

For a moment, he deepened their kiss, clinging to the moment before pulling away. “Damn, I hate to leave all this, but I have duties I can’t ignore.” One in particular he refused to let go—his daily torture session with Bailey’s father. It took every ounce of Sol’s willpower not to let an evil smile grow. The idea of going to the man with Bailey’s scent and juices coating his skin fed something dark inside him like nothing else could.

Switching his gaze between the pair, Sol made his expectations clear. “Neither of you are allowed to leave this bed before I get back. Is that understood?” He could feel Bailey’s exhaustion and knew she wouldn’t leave, but Lucien was a runner. He could sprint at any moment. Concentrating on Bailey, he held her stare, hoping to make her feel everything he did when he looked at her. “I love you.” He didn’t spare Lucien a glance. This was part of the new relationship dynamic Lucien would have to accept. “I’ll return before you miss me.”

Bailey nodded her understanding. “I love you too.”

As the words left Bailey’s lips, greed rose in Sol’s gut. He couldn’t risk either of them disobeying. Even to him, he felt dangerously possessive at the moment. “I’d apologize for this, but I’m not sorry,” Sol said, waving his hand over theirs before disappearing.

*

Bailey blinked at her wrist, unsurprised. Lucien didn’t even bother. Sol had handcuffed their wrists to the bed, ensuring they couldn’t leave while he was away.

“At least he got my right hand and your left, so we can still face one another,” Lucien said, pointing out the obvious with a laugh. “I can think of worse fates.” So could Bailey, but she wouldn’t give Lucien the satisfaction of saying as much. Lucien’s smile fell when she didn’t react. “Will you hate me forever?”

Bailey didn’t hesitate. “I don’t know. Will you leave me tomorrow, disappearing like you do?”

Lucien shook his head. “From the first moment we met, I’ve risked everything to be with you. That’ll never change. I can’t stop.”

A hot coal of fear settled in Bailey’s gut when the reality of the day landed on her shoulders. “He could’ve killed you. You know that, right? When you walked through that door, I expected he would.”

Lucien’s expression never changed. His stare didn’t waver. “He’ll have to. If he wants to keep me from you, I won’t give him a choice. I don’t know how else to make you understand, I’ve wanted you any way I can have you from the very beginning.” His hand landed on her cheek, gently stroking her skin. Bailey wanted his kiss. “Do you have any idea how many souls I’ve escorted here? Countless,” he added, answering his question before she had time. “Not a single one has ever tempted me, but I can’t imagine eternity without you. I don’t want to. There’s no excuse for the number of ways I’ve gone wrong, but I love you, Bailey. I don’t know how to let you go. Please don’t make me.”

Bailey still loved him. She didn’t want to let go, but she needed to know. “And Sol?”

Lucien’s lips twisted into a wicked smile. His leg draped over hers as he pulled her closer and tucked her beneath him. “Did you get the impression I wasn’t enjoying myself? Because that’s another thing you’ll learn with time. Eternity is damn long, Bailey. There’s nothing I haven’t done thousands of times. If your heart is willing, so is my flesh.”

The air grew thick. Bailey’s mouth went dry. “That’s oddly the hottest thing anyone has ever said to me.”

“Kiss me and I promise I’ll think up lots of dirty things to whisper in your ear.”

Bailey did, because she couldn’t not kiss him. When his tongue met hers, all the hurt washed away. They still had things to discuss. Things wouldn’t always be easy, but for the first time, Bailey’s mind wasn’t splintered. She knew then what she should have all along. She wasn’t crazy. Bailey was one third of a whole—incomplete without Sol and Lucien.

The End.
