“We can still be friends Kevin.”

“Do you really believe that Peyton?”

Peyton got quiet. She knew she didn’t believe that at
all. “No, I guess I don’t,” she told him honestly. “Okay, we won’t talk,” she
agreed reluctantly.

The first few days were the hardest for both of them.
Peyton thought about calling him a couple of times when she thought about
something that she wanted to tell him. Kevin did the same and he actually had
her number pulled up one night as he lay in bed, thinking about her, but tossed
his phone to the nightstand, frustrated instead.

Trevas and Alley arrived back home, and she was never
so happy to see them. She hadn’t talked to Kevin in exactly seven days and
counting. She only had two days with Trevas and Alley and she was off to,
Madrid Spain where her movie was rolling out first, and then she was back to
being in her too big home for one person.

She went through her phone trying to find a friend
available to do something with her. After calling five of her supposedly
friends, she realized that Kay was unquestionably her only true friend, and
everyone that she talked to was either busy or out of town. She did call and
talk to Kay for a long time, and neither of them mentioned Kevin, and as bad as
she wanted to ask about him, she didn’t.

On Monday, she was never so happy to hear from her
agent who wanted her to fly to New York the following weekend for a photo
shoot. She happily agreed, and even asked Paula if she wanted to tag along,
wanting the company. Paula of course couldn’t go, and told her that she was
just too busy to get away right now.

Trevas and Alley arrived back home before the weekend,
and she flew out the same day. She was happy to be getting away, even though
she had only been home not even two weeks yet from Kay’s. This was what she
needed to do, and she was going to tell Paula to fill her schedule. She needed
to stay busy and occupy her mind.

She had escorts waiting for her when she arrived at
the JFK airport, who escorted her to an awaiting limousine. She smiled and even
waved at the fans, who had noticed her and even waved to the paparazzi who hung
around just in case somebody famous happen to be flying in or got the tip that
there was indeed somebody worth shooting, arriving.

She was driven to her extravagant hotel, and the
driver asked her if she would like a car for dinner. When she declined he
informed her that there would be a car waiting for her at nine the following
morning.

Peyton got settled into her room and then went down to
the restaurant for supper. She sat by herself until one of the friends that she
had called a couple of nights earlier saw her, and invited her to their table.
Peyton would have been ecstatic had Tanya been any other friend other than her
convenient sex partner’s new flame.

James said hi to her and asked, how she had been, and
she did enjoy the company as they all three ate together. They were there for a
photo shoot as well, and had already finished and would be flying back to LA,
the following morning. They had drinks at the bar, and Peyton was back in her
room alone by ten at night.

Theoretically it had been two weeks since she had
talked to Kevin and thought long and hard about calling him as she lay in her
hotel bed and thought about him. She was supposed to be staying busy and
forgetting about him; however going to New York didn’t seem to be working any
better than it had in LA. She let herself think about the one thing she told
herself that she wouldn’t think about, and had done a very good job putting it
out of her mind when it would creep up.

Could she walk away from this? Could she see herself
living in Utah being a normal peasant? Could she handle not being in the
spotlight? She hadn’t signed a contract yet and was free to walk away.  Why was
she even thinking like this? She had always wanted to be the center of
attention, and unlike Alley she loved it, and had spent the last almost twenty
years of her life working hard to get where she was. Maybe she was just having
midlife crises and was feeling the need to not grow old alone. Maybe she did
need someone but was it Kevin?

Peyton grabbed her phone and dialed his number before
she could change her mind.

“Hello,” he answered.

“Hi,” she replied, not really knowing what to say.

“How are you?” he asked, not knowing what to say any
more than she did.

“Come to LA,” she spat out, surprising herself.

“I was hoping you were calling for that,” he admitted.

“You were?”

“Yes, I was but, I am just not sure I understand why
you want me to come or why I want to come. The facts are still the facts.”

“Screw the facts, Kevin. Fly to La and spend the week
with me.”

“It’s kind of late to put in for vacation now,” he
told her.

“Your boss is the plant manager. Do you want me to
call her?”

Kevin laughed. “No, I am sure it won’t be a problem.
When did you want me to come?”

“I am checking flights now,” she admitted, and he
laughed again.

“That soon uh?”

“Yes, how about Friday? I get back around two in the
afternoon, and you could get a flight coming in around three. I could just wait
there for you.”

“Where are you?” he wanted to know.

“I am in New York for a photo shoot.”

Peyton and Kevin talked on the phone until two in the
morning. She knew she should sleep and wondered how they could possibly have so
much to talk about. She also knew that her makeup artist was going to be pissed
when she saw the bags under her eyes from no sleep.

“I have to sleep Kevin; I have a photo shoot in the
morning that is going to turn out horrible from the dark circles under my
eyes.”

“I love your eyes, but I will let you sleep, and I
still love you Peyton.”

Peyton closed her eyes with her thumb and for finger
and took a deep breath. “Goodnight Kevin.”

Peyton could hardly contain herself on the plane back
to LAX. She had already arranged for a driver and had two body men on hand,
knowing that the LAX airport was the worse one that she ever flew into.

She retrieved her bags and the driver took them to the
waiting Limo that she had prearranged. She didn’t really need a Limo, and
wasn’t trying to impress Kevin with it at all. She just knew that she wouldn’t
be able to keep her hands off of him, and wanted the dark glass and privacy for
the ride home.

She stood behind a pillar with the two body men
standing in front of her as she waited for Kevin at his terminal. She peaked
out every so often and groaned at the people gathering, and airport security
kept them from coming to close to her.

Her heart stopped beating when she watched as his
plane started departing and she waited to see him. He waved at her from the
long corridor as he waited for his bag. She smiled a big smile when she saw him,
and it was all she could do not to run up to him and throw herself around him.

“Stay right behind her” one of the body men told him
and, they each took their place on either side of them.

Kevin did as he was told and thought that it was crazy
as they neared the crazy paparazzi and the fans. People were screaming her name
and asking her questions. She ignored them and kept her head down as the two
security men held their arms out in a protecting manner. Kevin watched
astonished, and when they finally got to the sidewalk the cameras clicking, the
flashing of the lights and the people that hurried to get a glimpse of her was
just as crazy.

The back door of the Limo was opened, and they were
finally safe inside away from the crowd and the noise. The driver put his bag
in the trunk and then pulled out into the traffic.

“Wow!” was all Kevin could say.

Peyton sat across from him facing him in the back of
the Limo. She was wearing a very expensive creamed colored pant suit with a
black silk shirt underneath the jacket, and black stilettos with at least three
inch heels.

“I told you, I had a silly life here,” she replied
with a smile.

“Will you be going to your residence, Ms. Paxton?” The
driver asked, through the opened glass.

“Yes, please,” she answered, and pushed the button for
the window to go up and allow the privacy that she wanted.

“I would say silly is an understatement,” Kevin told
her.

She didn’t reply and moved from her seat to his lap
with one leg on each side of him. His hands went straight to her sides, and his
lips moved to hers. They kissed, and both moaned at the same time

“Hello,” Peyton said to his lips.

“Hey,” he smiled up at her. “Are you trying to impress
me?”

“Why do you ask?” she asked, already knowing that he
was talking about the Limo.

“You look damn hot, and I haven’t been in a Limo since
my senior prom.”

“The outfit was to impress you. I just bought it in
New York, but the limousine was only because I knew I wouldn’t keep my hands
off of you all the way to my house.”

“He can’t see us?”

“Nope,”

“Can he hear us?”

“Nope,”

Kevin shifted and spun around, laying Peyton on the
seat and him between her legs. He kissed her and ran his hands over her nipple
and down her satin shirt.

Peyton stopped him when she felt him trying to figure
out the snap on her designer pants.

“We are only about twenty minutes away,” she said,
holding his hand to stop him.

“That’s long enough,” he replied, and slid his hands
inside her pants and panties. She moaned and tilted her head at his touch,
exposing her throat for his lips.

Peyton lifted her hips and slipped out of her pants
and unbuttoned his.

“What are you doing? I was just going to take care of
you for now,” he asked, shocked. He wasn’t going to have sex with her in the
car. He was only planning to drive her crazy until they were at her house.

“Not like that you’re not,” she demanded, and took him
in her hand and then parted her legs more for him, and he moved in.
Damn he
feels good.

Kevin thrust in and out of her, probably with more
power than he should have with the driver just inches from them. He ran his
hand up her shirt and to the side of her lace bra, where his fingers found her
nipple, and she moaned. She was ready and was trying her best to hold out and
wait for him, but he was lasting longer than she had anticipated, and then
stopped abruptly when the car stopped.

Peyton looked up to see that the driver was putting
the code in at the gate.

“Shit Kevin, we’re here.”

“Was that twenty minutes?” he asked, not losing
momentum and he knew the driver had to know what was going on.

“I think so,” she laughed.

Peyton hit the button on the intercom. “Could you give
us a couple of minutes? You can go ahead and get our bags and take them if you
want.”

“Yes ma’am,” he replied.

Kevin moved his thumb down and circled her wet swollen
nub, and continued to move rapidly in and out of her until she was screaming
out in pleasure and he escaped with her.

“God I missed you,” he said, panting like an
overheated dog.

She laughed, and he moved off of her and put himself
away as she pulled on her pants.

She got out, straitening her shirt and suit jacket and
thanked the driver.

“I hope that car is sound proof,” Kevin stated.

“Why, were you too loud?” she teased.

“I don’t think it’s me, we have to worry about.”

“Shit,” Peyton said, seeing Trevas sitting on the
concrete steps with the biggest smirk ever.

“That is the biggest case of walk of shame I have ever
seen,” he tormented.

“Shut the hell up. What are you doing here; I thought
you guys had some place to be this weekend.”

“Nope, we just got back,” Trevas replied, still
wearing the smirk.

Kevin stuck his hand out to shake it. “Dude, I am not
touching your hand right now,” he said and laughed, and then got a slap up side
of his head by Peyton.

“What?” he exclaimed. “I am not the one that couldn’t
make it from the airport to the house.”

“Trevas!” Peyton warned.

“Okay, okay, I quit,” he said still trying to contain
his laugh.

“Where is Alley?” she asked as they walked in, and
Trevas carried her bag.

“Throwing a tantrum,” he replied.

“Now what?”

“Her dad just told her that the producers were
throwing some party tomorrow night and demanded that she be there.”

“Great, now we have to deal with her all night.”

“It might be better if Alley and I just go to my
apartment anyway,” he said still smirking.

“I am warning you,” threatened, and she was saved by
Alley screaming for him to come upstairs.

“Damn Peyton, this place is like a castle.” Kevin
exclaimed, looking around.

“Do you want a tour?”

“Yeah,” he answered in awe of the place.

“Grab your bag. We will start in my room.”

She opened her bedroom door, and his room could have
fit into hers three times. Her king size bed was done in black and gold and was
very elegant with a black satin comforter with silver trim. She had two black
leather chairs that sat side by side with a table separating them, and a book
opened face down on one. The master bath was bigger than his bedroom, and he
couldn’t wait to get into her black marble shower. It had not one but six
shower heads that would hit every part of your body. The tub was big enough for
four people and was also a jet tub.

She showed him her favorite room in the house next,
her library, and then they walked out to the patio to the pool and he was again
impressed. She showed him the rest of the house and made sure to knock on
Alley’s door before opening it.

“What do you think of this mom?” Alley asked, opening
the door. Trevas was stretched across the bed and was called up to get his
opinion on the new outfit that her stylist had picked out for her to wear for
an upcoming interview.
