Dinner was a quiet affair that night. Sarah sat at the head. Rachel didn’t want it and Alex didn’t want to sit next to Rachel. It left Sarah in the middle, but that didn’t mean the two enemies didn’t throw one another dirty looks every once and awhile.
“The meal is delicious. So much better than what we at on the airship. You must tell me the recipe you used, Rachel.” Alex’s sarcasm had returned. He held a wine glass over his lips. It hid his grin from Rachel, but not from Sarah. It took every fiber in Sarah’s being not to smile. Rachel didn’t cook. Alex knew that. The meal had been prepared by Hannah.
Rachel’s eyes narrowed. She’d dressed up for tonight. Give Rachel any reason and she’ll put on heels. Her strawberry blond hair was pulled back, showing off a pair of teardrop diamond earrings. “I’m sure anything’s better than what you’ve been eating for the last five years.”
Low blow.
Alex’s anger was quick. Alex had been stranded on an little deserted island for the last five years. He wouldn’t share what happened on the island or how he’d managed to stay alive. He didn’t even tell them how he’d manage to get off. All Sarah knew was that Alex was here now, but he was no longer the rich kid from before. He was something new. Something savage lay under his gaze. Sarah saw a vein jump in his throat. His strong jaw locked. His own black eyes glittered with hate.
Sarah reached out and took the hand that Alex had resting on his table. “It was a brave thing you did.” Alex turned his eyes towards her then. Sarah hadn’t been prepared for it. His look was intense. Her pulse quickened. She took back her hand. “I still remember that determined look on your face when you stood up, ready to defend our country. Not many men could have lived through what you’ve been through. We’re grateful for your service.” Sarah smiled. She’d been honest. Alex had done something she’d never thought he would. Impress her.
Alex was still looking at her, his look softened. He looked calm, but something seemed off. “How grateful are you?”
Sarah felt a hand slide up her bare thigh. She jumped back from her seat. Rachel looked at like she’d lost her mind. Alex smirked. Sarah placed her hands on her chest and just stared at him. Heat crept up her pale face.
“What’s the matter with you?” Rachel hissed. She wore a frown. Only when Rachel frowned could you tell her age.
Sarah said the first thing that came to mind. “I thought I saw a bug.”
Alex’s brows lifted. He obviously hadn’t expected her to lie. Sarah wasn’t sure why she’d lied either.
“A bug? I’ll have Fredrick call an exterminator in the morning.”
Sarah started to leave the room. “No, I don’t think that will be necessary. I’m sure it was nothing. Just some imaginary trick of the eye. Goodnight.”
She left the dining room then, not asking to be excused, not caring for what battle would or could take place in the dining room between Alex and her mother.

A month later, Sarah woke up in the middle of the night to hear a heavy pacing in the hall. She wasn’t in her normal bedroom. Dr. Patterson had put her in one of the guest rooms in the East Hall. The room was directly across from Alex’s. No one else’s bedroom was located on this side of the mansion. Only Sarah would be disturbed by him. She spent most of her days with him now. A sort of friendship that was long overdue began to form between the two. She slipped out of the bed and padded over to the door. She wore a silk pink spaghetti strap top and matching shorts.
Sarah’s hand froze on the knob. She heard whispering. Alex was talking to himself. Sarah was nervous. She hadn’t worked as a nurse for awhile. Once Rachel had got control of the estate, Sarah hadn’t really needed to work.
She sighed. Staying in the guest room wouldn’t do anyone any good. Alex needed her. She pulled open the door and stepped into the hallway. Alex was walking in her direction. He froze when he saw her. He seemed like a giant, looming in the dark corridor. Only the moon rays coming through the tall arched window gave them light. Alex’s shadow touched her toes. He only wore a black pair of men’s briefs. His well toned chest, arms, and legs were on display. Sarah kept her eyes trained on his eye in an effort for not stare at the juncture of this sculpted thighs. A blush spread up her neck when she acknowledged her curiosity. She was grateful for the dark. “What are you doing up?” Her voice hoarse with sleep.
Sarah looked into Alex’s midnight eyes and watched as they went wide.
“Civilian! Get down!” Alex started to run towards the woman. Long legs carried him quickly to her aid. What was she doing in the desert? How’d she get on the battlefield? He’d have to protect her. He locked an arm around her and threw her down on the sand.
The enemy had them surrounded, they were dropping like flies. They were outnumbered. Alex stood into a crouched position, bringing the anxious woman up with him. She was shouting at him, but Alex couldn’t hear her over the gunshots and cries of pain. He had to get her somewhere safe.
A bomb shelter lay ahead. Alex made a dash for it, taking the woman with him. Once they were in the shelter, he brought her down next to him and placed a finger over her lips. “Shh.” He couldn’t afford the woman to give away their location. Where was his weapon? Why didn’t he have a weapon on him.
The woman’s hands went to his hair then. They began to stroke him in a loving manner. Her arms slid down and began to massage his shoulders. Her voice was soothing. Alex enjoyed her touch, but he couldn’t allow this woman to distract him. They were in enemy territory. Anything could happen. He didn’t have time for her obvious affections for him.
But then her hand was caressing his face. She turned Alex towards her. He couldn’t clearly make her face out, her features seemed lovely. She kind of looked like Sarah, but it couldn’t be Sarah. Sarah was thousands of miles away in America.
The woman’s voice called to him. The voice outside of the shelter died. Alex forgot why he’d ran to it in the first place. All that mattered now was the way the woman in front of him was touching him. She wanted him. He wanted her too. Why should he deny himself? Alex's blood began to flow towards the part of him that begged to be released. He leaned forward and placed a kiss upon her lips.
Sarah froze. She didn’t understand what was happening. One minute Alex was throwing her around the floor and now he was kissing her. She quickly placed her hands against his chest and began to push him away, but Alex grabbed her wrist and jerked them from his body. “Don’t start something you’re not going to finish.”His words can out in a rough manner. Sarah began to panic.
Alex used her own weight to push her down to the floor. He climbed on top of her and continued to place kisses on her face. His soft lips slid down her jaw and to her neck. A warmth began to spread through her stomach. A part of her was enjoying the feel of his mouth on her, but another part of her knew this wasn’t right. This was her little brother. Sure, Alex was only her step brother, but this had to be wrong, right? “Alex, stop.”
Ignoring her, Alex nudged his legs between her thighs until they parted. He then lowered his hips, planting his well endowed member on top of her womanhood. Alex pressed down further and began to rock, rubbing himself against her, causing moisture to build. The movement made Sarah dizzy with need. Alex’s warm mouth leaned over her ear. “Tell me you want this?”
His words brought Sarah out of her haze. She once again tried to push him off, but her efforts were futile. He still held her arms locked over her head. “No.” She’d put all her power into that one word, but Alex didn’t stop.
Instead, his hot lips began a trail back down her neck, over her collarbone, and down to her chest. He combined her wrist, placing them into one hand. His other hand, now free, slid over her ample breast. He moved his fingers to the top of her loose blouse and yanked it down, causing her tits to pop out. His mouth closed around a nipple. Sarah cried. It felt so good, but it was wrong. She opened her mouth to protest once more. Alex bit down on her nipple. Sarah lost it. A long moan escaped her parted lips.
Alex still pivoted between her thighs. She could feel him growing. He felt long and thick. Shame washed over her. She wanted him. She wanted her little brother.
“Say you want it,” his breathing felt heavy against her exposed nipples.
Sarah was sure her own breathing wasn’t much better. “Yes, I want it.”
A groan came from his deep in his throat. She could feel his smile his smile as his mouth continued to work her breast, moving from one sensitive nipple to the other.
Alex released her wrist then. He had better use his hand. The woman in front of him smelt amazing. Her aroma was soft and exotic. She reminded him of someone. Someone far away in his memory. A shadow passed over his eyes.
Alex leaned up and shook his head. The images in front of him were moving, leaving him. Darkness took it’s place. His eyes began to adjust to it. He looked around. He was in his room. On the floor. The moonlight highlighted everything now. He looked down and his eyes collided with Sarah’s. Her plump breast exposed. His eyes narrowed. “Sarah, what do you think you’re doing?”
Sarah didn’t move. She looked as though she were coming out of a daze herself. She was beautiful. Her long golden hair was spilled over the hardwood floor. Her expression was one of a woman in heat. Her breast looked like two soft pillows. They were wet, their nipples erect. It looked like someone had been playing with them, sucking on them.
An image flashed before Alex’s eyes. The woman in the desert. It had been Sarah. He’d been about to make love to his sister. It should have grossed him out, but it didn’t. Not when she lay so inviting underneath him.
Sarah came out of her daze then. “
You
jumped
me
.” There was anger in her eyes. She placed her hands at her sides and sat up. Her blond hair fell behind her shoulders. Sarah placed a hand on Alex’s chest and pushed against him, but he didn’t move.
Instantly, Alex’s eyes began to roam her. He watched as the anger left Sarah’s eyes. His hand went to her stomach and slid up until it cupped one of her breast. Sarah’s intake of a breath answered the question in his head. Still, he had to know. “You said that you wanted me?” His words had been a whisper. He wasn’t sure she’d heard it until he saw her blue eyes widen.
Sarah gazed around nervously. “What?” She was playing coy, but Alex knew that she understood him. His memory was foggy, but he knew he’d heard her just moments ago say that she wanted him. Her voice still echoed in his mind. The hand that held her heavy breast pinched her nipple. Hard. Sarah let out a shriek of pain and pleasure. Alex took advantage of her open mouth. He kissed her. Her moans poured into him, warming him. The fire that had almost been snuff out when he’d come to realize what he was doing rekindled itself. Alex’s fingers cupped around the elastic waist of her silk shorts.
Sarah didn’t protest. Her need was all consuming. She lifted her hips as Alex yanked down her shorts. Her panties followed in haste. Alex then took off his own shorts. Sarah looked down. She’d been right. He was long and thick. A quick heatwave went through her. She was so hot she felt ready to burst.
Alex grabbed a hold of his penis and rubbed it’s head against her slick folds. Sarah moaned. The head became wet, coated in her juices, glistening in the moonlight. Pushing forward, Alex popped the head inside of her. Sarah swooned.
She wrapped her arms and legs around his back, bringing him closer, locking them together, connecting them in the most wanton way. The pleasure that coursed through Sarah felt forbidden and only excited her more.
She looked up into Alex’s eyes then. She could hardly make them out in the dark, but she knew what she would find there. Lust. There was no going back now. Sarah wasn’t sure what tomorrow would hold, but that this moment, she and Alex shared a deep intimacy.
When Alex began to set a pace, Sarah shared his every emotion.
Need came first. A painful need to belong to someone. Alex’s tempo was like a sweet torture. It was as though every stroke was precious. As she filled her tight folds, he filling his loneliness. Sarah caressed his face as she continued to kiss him. The kiss was deep and like nothing she’d ever experienced before. She was surprised when he quickly broke it. Sarah looked up into his eyes again. The emptiness was there.
Alex withdrew from her. Sarah sighed from the loss. Then she felt him turning her over. Alex pulled her up and reentered her moist heat. Hard. Sarah tried to grab hold of the wooden floor, but found it difficult. It was slick with their sweat. Alex was pumping into her furiously. There was hate, deep hate, as he pounded into her. Each stroke now felt like a slap of revenge. Revenge for every time she’d tortured him or had been cruel. Payback for her mother’s evil. One of his hands left her hip and came down hard on her ass. Sarah shouted. The pain and pleasure snapped her head back. Over and over his hand came down. It wasn’t long before Sarah felt her body shake. When she came, it was hard. Her voice broke. No doubt her throat would be sore tomorrow.
Sarah felt Alex grabbed her hair and gently pull her up on her knees. He was still inside of her. He turned her head, forcing her to kiss him. She did. Their tongues danced. One of Alex’s hands went for her breast. The other wrapped around her, holding her in place. Sarah sighed. Alex started moving inside of her again, this time, at a broken pace. She could feel his heartbeat through her back. His body was shaking. The sex was different now.
She broke the kiss and looked into his eyes. He was staring at her. He no longer wore an emotional mask. She could read his eyes now. Love.
As if she’d spoken her thoughts out loud, Alex lowered his gaze and buried his head in her neck. His hold on her tightened as he came. Sarah reached back and stroked his hair, his face, trying to tell him what she hadn’t say with words. Not yet. She loved him too.
Alex backed away from Sarah. A feeling of loneliness began to seep in him. He covered his face with his hands. Ashamed. He was in love with his step sister and had no doubts that she didn’t feel the same. He had allowed himself to go too far with her. He’d mistaken her kindness for something else. She’d just been being a good nurse. Her touches had been medical, but it had been so long since someone looked at him with concern. It had been so long since someone truly cared about him. Sarah cared for him, but not the way he wanted her to.
He felt hands cover his own. Sarah pulled his hands from his face. She cradled his face between her delicate fingers, forcing him to meet her eyes. They were so gentle. It was almost too much for Alex. “You don’t have to say anything,” he began. “It won’t happened again.” Alex got up then and walked to his bed. He climbed in and pointed his back towards her and door. He expected her to leave.
He didn’t expect her to crawl in behind him, but she did. He felt one of her soft arms and legs wrap around him. She held him tightly. “I love you too.”
Alex just stared out the window of the wall in front of him. “You don’t have to say that.”
“I know,” came her soft reply.
Then there was silence. Alex thought Sarah would let it go now.
To his surprise, he pushed him on to his back and climbed onto of him. She looked down at him. Her hair was a curtain around her face. Alex couldn’t help but to reach up and touch it. She was so beautiful. “You don’t have to try and make me feel better.”
Sarah sighed. “I’m not,” she turned and kissed the palm of his hand. She held his stare. “I love you.”
Alex was afraid to believe her. Maybe he was having one of his illusions again, but this illusion was so much sweeter than any he’d ever had before. He stared up at her and watched her smile down lovingly at him. His heart warmed. He closed his eyes. She loved him. A happiness he didn’t think he’d ever feel again filled him. Alex reached around and brought Sarah’s body closer to his. “I love you.”
“I know.”
And then they sealed it with a kiss.
