She closed her eyes for a moment as several more light tremors rocked through her. When she opened her eyes back up Anthony was standing. He quickly undid his jeans and pulled them down, his boxers with them, to display his thick erect cock, the head glistening with his pre-cum. His cock was virtually begging her to take it into her mouth.

Licking her lower lip, Gabriella sat up and reached out to grasp him in her hand when he stepped back a foot.
What in the hell?
Frowning, Gabriella looked up to meet his gaze, a questioning look in her expression.

Stepping out of his jeans and kicking them to the side he placed a hand on her shoulder and pushed her back down on the sofa. "It's been five years, Gabby. You take me into your mouth and I'll be done for."

"But

"

Anthony sank back onto the sofa, settling between her legs, his mouth kissing its way back up her stomach. His lips stopped long enough to pay attention to each of her nipples, first flicking them with his tongue and then teasing with his teeth and lips until they were even harder than they already were, sending short jolts through her, igniting the fire between her legs once more.

He continued his way up the length of her neck, across her jaw and then placed a chaste kiss on her lips. His lips tasted of her and hiked her arousal up a notch as her mind drifted back to the image of him, his face buried between her legs. "Besides. If I blow my load right away, what kind of impression would that leave?" he teased, as he settled onto her, his rock hard cock nestling itself between her wet folds.

She wiggled under him, hoping to impale herself onto him by fluke. "But if you blow your load right away, it means we get to do it again," she countered, placing a string of kisses down his neck and across his chest.

"Mmm. Good point." He moved up against her, increasing her torment as his cock slid back and forth along her. "So, you're still on..."

"Mmm-Hmm," Gabriella confirmed, slipping her hands to his tight ass and pulling him tighter to her.

Rubbing against her, Anthony gave her a wicked smile that sent her pulse racing as he lined the head of his dick up to her awaiting entrance. He cupped the side of her face in his palm as he lowered his mouth to her, and as their lips touched he pushed up into her. Her nails dug into his ass and she moaned against his lips as his cock stretched her.

Her pussy took him in as he pressed himself deeper, so exquisitely deep, until he was balls deep into her channel. He settled in her, his hips rocking against hers, torturing her with tiny, micro thrusts. She parted her lips, needing to tell him she needed more. She needed him moving within her

hard, fast, now! But her words were muffled as his tongue invaded her mouth, caressing hers.

Just when she didn't think she could handle another moment of his horrid teasing, he pulled out nearly all the way and then slammed back into her, so fast and hard that her whole body moved an inch up the sofa.

"You want it hard, Gabby?" he growled, tearing his lips from hers and staring down at her. His expression was tense, and she took some satisfaction in knowing the strain of holding back was as torturous to him as it was to her.

"God yes, Tony." Her hands moved up to his shoulders and she wrapped her legs around his waist. "Give it to me!"

"Then hold on."

Hold on?
She didn't have time to consider his words as he pulled out and forcefully thrust back in. She screamed out as the jolt of pleasure rushed through her. Not wasting any more time he began to jackhammer into her, thrusting fast and hard, forcing whimpers and moans from her with each thrust.

"Oh, so fucking good Gabby. So tight," he growled with his mouth against her neck, as he nipped at her neck and collarbone between thrusts.

It was good, so good, too good. She wanted to meet each of his thrusts with her own, but he was moving at a frantic pace. All she could do was hold tight to him and enjoy the waves rushing through her.

She became lightheaded as she reached the summit. So close. Teetering on the edge.

"I can't hold back any longer, Gabby." Anthony claimed her mouth roughly as he slammed into her a final time, burying himself to the hilt and unloading spurt after spurt of his cum into her. The sudden rush of cum filling her, beating against her inner walls was enough to send her over the edge. She moaned against his lips, her nails digging into the hard muscle of his back as she released.

Anthony pulled up from her while keeping himself embedded within her, a self-satisfied smile on his lips. "So does this mean you forgive me for ruining your prom?"

Running a finger along his jaw, she peered up into his grey eyes. "Oh, we have a lot more making up to do before I forgive you for that," she teased.

"Hmmmm." Leaning down he kissed her forehead, the bridge of her nose and her chin. "Then I guess we've got a long night ahead of us."

Gabriella loved the sound of that!

Chapter 3

Gabriella was pulled from her deep, satisfied sleep by a loud scream and the feel of Anthony thrashing on the bed next to her. Pulling her naked body into an upright position she looked down at Anthony; his face was contorted into a look of anguish, a sheen of sweat coating his chest.

“NO! STOP!” he shouted out in his sleep.

She sat frozen watching him a moment, her brow furrowing, unsure of what to do. Deciding to wake him she leaned over him and gave his shoulders a gentle shake. “Tony… Anthony.” It didn’t seem to wake him; his thrashing became more intense.

Beginning to panic, Gabriella grabbed him more solidly in her hands, shaking him violently. “TONY!”

Suddenly, Anthony’s eyes sprang open. Gabriella screamed as his hand shot up, grasping her throat and threw her back onto the bed. He quickly straddled her, his hand tightening on her throat, beginning to cut off her air supply. Gasping for breath she clawed at his hand grasping her throat, staring up into vacant eyes.

What’s going on? Oh dear god, what’s wrong with him?
This was the first time in her lifetime she’d felt fearful for her life.

And just as suddenly as he sprang into action, the vacant look in his eyes began to clear. “Oh fuck…” He immediately released her throat and slid from her. “Oh fuck me. Oh fuck. Gabriella. Gabriella, I’m so fucking sorry.”

Gasping for breath and still in shock, Gabriella didn’t know what to say. She couldn’t answer, just stare up at him.

Anthony sat up straight on the bed and clasped his hands behind his neck, lowering his head and closing his eyes. “I’m sorry. God, I’m so sorry.”

Gabriella slowly emerged from her state of shock and sat up. Should she touch him? Comfort him? A part of her was scared to touch him again, but she powered through her fear, got to her knees and hugged him from behind, pressing her forehead to the back of his shoulder.

“Are you okay?”

Anthony huffed. “I nearly kill you and you’re asking if I’m okay?”

“What happened?”

He shook his head. “I don’t know. I just

” he sighed. “I don’t know.”

“Do you have nightmares like that often?”

He was silent for so long she didn’t think he was going to answer. Finally he said, “Yes. Every night.”

“What are the nightmares of?”

“I don’t remember.”

She didn’t believe him, but didn’t press it. Whatever it was, it was blatantly obvious it wasn’t pleasant.

“How long have you been having them?”

“A while.”

She sighed, tightening her arms around his torso and placing a kiss onto his shoulder.

He pulled out of her embrace and turned to face her. “I think I should sleep in another room.”

“No.” Shaking her head she took his hands in hers. “Stay. It’ll be fine.”

Anthony looked unconvinced. “I could have killed you. I mean. Jesus. If I

” He visibly shuddered.

“You didn’t. And, I startled you. I’ll know better next time.” There was a part of her that was a little timid, but she refused to give in to that fear. She suspected he needed her and she wouldn’t turn him away.

“Gabby…”

“Tony,” she countered.

After a moment of looking into each other’s eyes he conceded. Lying back onto the mattress, he pulled her down to him. “I’m so sorry.”

“Nothing to be sorry about.” She snuggled against him and closed her eyes. God, what did he go through? She couldn’t help but wonder; her ponderings kept her awake for most of the night.

“Gabriella! Wake up! Gabriella.” Gabby groaned as she felt herself being pulled away from her slumber to the sound of her mother’s voice.

“Mom? What are…?” she asked, her eyes still shut.

“We’re home early.”

The events of the previous night came to mind and her eyes sprang open. Anthony? She looked around the room, but he was nowhere to be found. Where was he? Why didn’t he wake her up? Realizing she was still naked she pulled the blanket up to her chin, hoping her mother didn’t question her lack of pajamas. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes she looked up at her mother, waiting for the reason for being woken so early.

“We’re having breakfast. I thought it would be nice to have the family together for breakfast, since it’s been so many years.”

She sighed. “Sure, Mom. Ummm. Just give me a minute.”

“Of course, dear. Try to be down in five minutes.” Her mother turned and left, leaving her alone to get dressed.

They weren’t supposed to be back for another day or two. She had to admit she was slightly disappointed; after the previous evening she was hoping for a little more alone time with Anthony.

Once her door was closed, Gabriella slid from the bed and made her way to her closet. She still kept clothes at her parents’ house, just in case. Pulling it open she grabbed a pair of tight-fitting black yoga pants with a pink stripe running down the side and matching form-fitting t-shirt. Taking a brush to her hair, she gave herself an inspection in her vanity mirror, applying some gloss to her lips.

As good as it’s going to get with a five-minute time requirement
, she mused and then laughed at herself. One thing she’d never been concerned about in the past was looking good for Anthony.

With a sigh, she spun and exited her bedroom and made her way downstairs and to the kitchen. The delicious smell of breakfast drifted to her nose, making her stomach grumble.

“Morning everyone,” she said, entering the kitchen, but her gaze immediately sought out Anthony. Her eyes locked with his and she felt her face grow warm and she quickly looked away to her mother. “Need help, Mom?”

“Nope. I have a place set for you beside Anthony.”

“’kay.” Taking a seat next to Anthony she chanced another look over at him. He seemed to be invested in a conversation he was having with his father about his tours. With a sigh she turned her focus back to her mother as her mother placed a plate in front of her and then Anthony.

Once everyone was served her mother took her spot at the opposite end of the table from their father. “Now, I just want to say something and get it out.”

Frowning, Gabriella along with the two men turned their focus to her mother. “What, Mom?”

“I know you and Anthony have had your differences, but your father and I would like to see you two make an effort to get along, especially since Anthony is back for good. You’re adults now and there’s no need for the childish fighting.” She fixed her gaze on Gabriella. “You’ll do that, right?”

Typical, I’m the troublemaker
. Gabriella sighed.
No matter how much things change they seem to stay the same

“Of course, Mom.”

“We worked out our differences last night,” Anthony said as his knee slapped hers. She looked over at Anthony and when their gazes locked he gave her a sexy grin he used to reserve for the girls he dated. She could see how it worked so well for him because that smile made her tummy flutter and her flush deepen. “Right, Gabby?”

“Yes. Of course.” She turned back to her mother. “It’s all behind us.”

“In fact, we’re going running right after breakfast.”

Running? News to her. The last thing she wanted to do was run. Why in the hell would she want to do that? She turned her attention to him, giving him a quizzical look.

He winked and turned back to his meal.

The rest of breakfast basically surrounded their parents drilling him on everything he’d been doing over the past few years and his plans for the future – as of that moment he really didn’t have any. His father wasn’t impressed.

She wanted to come to Anthony’s defense – he’d just arrived home, what did his father expect? – but she didn’t. Anthony could fight his own battles much better than she could. After breakfast, true to his words Anthony convinced her to put on her sneakers and off they went.

“Okay, hold up.” Gabriella gasped, grabbing his biceps as she stopped and doubled over, attempting to gain her breath. “I need a break.”

“We’re only been jogging ten minutes.”

She looked up and glared at him. “Maybe for a Marine that’s small, but for a girl who never runs it’s plenty. I can barely keep up.”

He chuckled. “You had no problems keeping up last night.”

“Yeah, well, that’s because that was an activity I actually wanted to do.”

“Then perhaps we need to ditch the folks and head to your place.”

Laughing, she was just straightening up when a bang of a car backfiring rang out in the distance.

“Get down!” She had no idea what hit her as his hard body went crashing into hers, tackling her to the ground on her back, knocking the wind from her, causing a low “oomph” to escape her lips. She attempted to squirm out from under him, but he kept her secure, covering her body. “Stay down. They’re firing,” he hissed into her ear.

Huh? What?
She looked up into his eyes, but she could see the disconnect in his gaze. He was somewhere, but wherever it was it wasn’t with her.

“Anthony. It’s okay.” She grasped his chin in her hands and forced him to look down at her. “Tony. Come on. It’s okay.”

She watched as the fog lifted from his stare and a look of horror filled his eyes. “Oh fuck me. Oh shit, Gabby. Fuck, I’m so sorry.” He quickly got to his feet, took a step back from her and looked around nervously, raking a shaking hand through his hair. No one had noticed and Gabby was grateful for that, she could see how embarrassed he was and the last thing she wanted was for it to be worse because they had an audience.

Getting to her feet she touched his arm, walking around him to stand facing him. “It’s okay.” She tentatively gave him a reassuring smile.

“No.” He shook his head, keeping his eyes downcast. “No, it’s not. I’m so fucked up right now. I just

She was worried. She’d been concerned the previous night, but downright worried now. “What’s the matter? What’s going on?”

“I was diagnosed with PTSD and given a medical discharge.” He raked a slightly shaking hand through his hair. “My time was nearly up anyhow.”

“Does your Dad know?”

“No, he doesn’t. I don’t want them to know. They think I left because my service was up and I wanted to move on and pursue a different career. That wasn’t entirely the case. I’m under psychiatric care at the moment.”

“Until…?” She stepped close to him, forcing him to look at her as she wrapped her arms around his waist.

“Until I get my head right. It’s not like they’re going to kick me to the curb and not give me support, so that’s good… I guess. Maybe pursuing something between us right now isn’t such a great idea, I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I ever hurt you.”

She gave him a reassuring smile. “You won’t.”

He lowered his forehead to hers and closed his eyes, holding her tight. “Thank you. I hope you’re right.”

“I know it.” God, she hoped she was right. Either way, she’d do what she could to make it better for him.
