“Yes,” she breathed, tilting her head back and offering him the fucking world.

His teeth elongated and he sank them into her tender flesh, binding her to him and completing the bond. Her body stiffened as her pussy pulsed around him in orgasm and a slight sound of pain and pleasure eased past her lips but he didn’t let go as he felt his soul bind with hers, felt everything that was Daisy.

“Roman,” she whimpered, her hips jerking as another orgasm stole through her body but he ignored it as he delved deeper and deeper into her soul.

There, in a darkened corner of her soul, lay her wolf, a beautiful creature with wise, ancient eyes. Without words, Roman knew she was content where she was. He also knew that it was going to take a lot of effort to coax her from her comfort zone and become one with Daisy, but he was willing to spend as much time as necessary to make it happen. Reaching out, his soul touched upon the wolf, claiming her in addition to Daisy.

Then he was back in the moment, his teeth still clamped against Daisy’s throat, her body still twitching with dozens of micro-orgasms, and she was his. Pulling his teeth from her neck, he licked the wound and started thrusting his hips, over and over until she was mindless with pleasure. The savage beast was riding her with him, pushing harder, deeper, until the pressure built up in his balls and exploded down his spine. With a guttural roar, he emptied his seed deep inside of her as his orgasm overtook him.

Collapsing on top of her, he gathered her in his arms and rolled to the side. She was his, forever. Brushing her damp hair from her face, he smiled down at her, “I love you. I’ve always loved you.”

Epilogue

Standing on the tarmac two weeks later, wearing all new clothes since Roman had the tendency of shredding whatever she was wearing in the need to make love to her, Daisy hugged her brother again. “I’m going to miss you, you know.”

“I still don’t know why you have to stay here,” Dominic grumbled, though there was a wealth of understanding in his eyes. “It’s not going to be the same travelling without dragging your sorry ass behind.”

She smiled at that as love welled in her chest. Unable to help herself, she threw her arms around Dominic yet again and squeezed tight. Her heart ached as he hugged her back, his own grip tight. They had been inseparable for almost twenty-two years, twenty-three if they counted their time in the womb. “It isn’t forever.”

“I know,” he said in a cracking voice, holding her tighter. Sliding his hand around the front and resting it on her belly, he pulled back and grinned, “Besides, you know I’ll be back when this little one is born.”

Daisy’s eyes widened as she jerked her head around and looked at Roman. The beautiful jerk just shrugged his broad shoulders and offered a sexy smile. “Sweetheart, I can’t keep my paws off of you. Are you really so surprised?”

Roman had been diligent in his efforts to coax her wolf from her lair, including the use of some rather… unconventional methods. So far nothing seemed to work but Daisy wasn’t complaining. Maybe a little puppy would work… and if not, Roman had other methods he was willing to try.

A slight blush stole over her face as Roman’s expression grew heated. Clearing his throat, Dominic stepped back and wrapped his arm around Jeanette, “I guess that’s our cue to get going.”

Daisy bit her lip to keep from laughing, from crying, as she stepped forward and gave Jeanette one last goodbye hug. “You know you guys can visit any time, right?”

“Of course,” Jeanette said, her eyes bright with tears, a smile on her lips. With her lips next to Daisy’s ears, she whispered, “I’m glad you finally found him.”

“Me, too,” Daisy returned, the words sticking in her throat. “Thank you for everything, Jeanette.”

“Any time,” she said, pulling back and smiling at Daisy.

With one more round of hugs, Dominic and Jeanette finally boarded the puddle jumper to head back home. Daisy leaned against Roman’s chest as he held her in his arms and they watched the plane taxi down the runway and finally take off. “They’ll be back before long, you know.”

“I know,” she murmured, watching the plane grow smaller and smaller as it flew away. Pressing her hand against her stomach, she tilted her head back and looked at her beloved Roman, “When did you know?”

His smile was wicked as he bent his head and took her lips in a heated kiss. She was certain that if it wasn’t so damn cold outside, he’d strip her bare and have her legs in the air in two seconds flat. “It was the first night… the first time I took you.”

“You’re an Alpha through and through, aren’t you?” she breathed, leaning more heavily against him since her legs seemed to have disappeared. Strangely, he was the same Roman as he was before only… more so even if she sometimes wondered if deep down inside he ever missed being a gargoyle. There was no darkness in his eyes, no sorrow, just a certainty that he knew his place in the world despite being thrust into this life only a year before. His confidence was alluring and his kisses were distracting and she loved him more than she ever dreamed possible. Some day she might tell him about his life from before. She knew now that he was strong enough to handle it.

“I love you, you know,” she whispered, brushing her thumb over his damp lips. “Always.”

“Always.”
