"Don't stop. Please, don't stop."

"Have to go slow, otherwise, this will be too short."

His hand came around the front to slide between her thighs, coaxing her clit to a throbbing bundle of nerves. A climax whipped through her like wildfire, sending her over the edge as he groaned and pushed the rest of his hard flesh into her ass.

"Aw fuck! Savannah."

"Yes, yes, yes," she whimpered.

Cradling her butt against his groin, he leisurely started to move although she could feel the tension in his thighs brushing up against hers.

The tempo increased with each thrust and nerves unused for some time, started to bunch and expand. Every plunge of his cock had her on the brink of temporary insanity while she attempted to hold back her climbing orgasm until she knew he was close.

Hips slammed against hers. Balls slapped against her pussy, sending spasms of need shooting up her spine. His own ragged breathing and soft, 'oh God', brought her to the edge and pushed her over.

"Yes, oh God, yes," she screamed, feeling her ass clamp down around his hard flesh.

"That's it, baby." He pumped faster, until he finally let go with a hearty groan.

For several minutes they panted hard. A growl parted his lips when he pulled his cock from her flesh.

"I don't think I can move."

"Me either."

The baby began to fuss in the next.

“Your son needs his mother.”

“Yeah—so do I.”

She gave him a mock frown. “You need your mother?”

“Tease. I need you,” he murmured.

"Again?"

His sexy blue eyes opened and he shifted over her. "Not for a bit. You've killed me. But I can still play a little. Just don't ask me to do anything else, but lick on that luscious nipple."

“Brandon?” The rough pad of his tongue did delicious things to her and she fought the urge to give into her body’s wants or to force the talk she knew they needed to have. “We need to talk.”

He lifted his head and frowned. “I don’t think I’m going to like this.” Releasing her hands, he sat up on the side of the bed and reached for his boxers.

The baby whimpered again in the other room.

“I better go take care of Marcus before he lets loose into a full-blown tantrum for his meal. You don’t have to work tonight, right?”

“No.”

“Why don’t you go shower while I feed him and then we’ll talk.”

He waggled his dark eyebrows and said, “You could join me.”

She bit her lip before she replied, “Yes I could, but then we would just have sex again.”

“And there’s a problem with this why?”

Savannah sighed and grumbled. “Are you always this insatiable?”

“Didn’t you tell Rachel, I had a quote, ferocious sexual appetite, end quote?”

“Yes, but...”

“You opened the cage, baby, now you must feed the hunger.” He kissed her quickly on the mouth. “Feed my son and I’ll take a shower. Then we will have this all-important conversation.” A moment later, he disappeared into the bathroom and shut the door.

Her cheeks puffed out when she released her breath and got up from his bed. After they’d made love on the kitchen counter, he’d swept her up in his arms and carried her up the stairs. He knew exactly what to do to make her want him again within moments of dropping her in the middle of the comforter. He had growled low in his throat, sending shivers of anticipation across her skin while he stalked her on his hands and knees. She laughed when he grabbed her ankle and pulled her toward him very, very slowly. When he flipped her over and drove his cock deep inside her from behind, she almost died from the sensations.

She closed her eyes and groaned before she made her way into the other bedroom to feed the baby. The water rushing inside the bathroom sent her imagined into overdrive.

Brandon bare-assed naked, mmm...

The wail of Marcus brought her thoughts back to him. “I’m sorry, pumpkin. Your daddy seems to take up a lot of my thoughts these days.” She picked him up and settled into the rocker. Several moments later, the shower turned off and she licked her lips.

Good Lord! You’d think I hadn’t been with a man in months, not just an hour ago.

Brandon peeked around the corner of the door. “I’m going down to get some coffee. Want some water or something?”

Her gaze slid over his wet hair brushed back off his forehead, his bright-blue eyes, his sexy-as-hell smile, over his broad naked chest and slipped down his abdomen while she followed the line of hair to the waistband of his jeans. She inhaled and slowly let it out again before she replied, “Yes, please.”

“You need to quit looking at me like that, woman.”

She bit her lip before she said, “Like what?”

“Like a hungry tigress.”

Her head cocked to the side and she let a smile lift the corners of her mouth. “I am hungry.”

He threw back his head and laughed. “And you say I’m insatiable.” Still chuckling he said, “I’ll be right back with the water. Think Marcus will be done by then?’

“It will probably be a little longer. He’s got a good appetite.”

“Okay.” He disappeared and she sighed.

Savannah hummed softly and rocked the chair while Marcus suckled. She ran her fingers through the silky baby hair on his head and smiled.

Several minutes later, the doorbell rang and she frowned.

You’d think this was Grand Central Station with all the foot traffic the last couple of days.

When it didn’t ring again, she figured Brandon had answered it. The rumble of voices downstairs made her frown. She could hear a female voice and another male voice besides Brandon’s and laughing. Unable to stand the suspense of finding out who was visiting now, she disengaged the baby from her breast, lifted him to her shoulder, fixed her blouse, and stood.

She made her way out her bedroom door and stopped at the top of stairs. Below her stood an older couple with Brandon, but when Brandon’s gaze lifted to her, the heat in his eyes made the whole world narrow.

“Ah! There she is,” the woman said, bringing her attention back to them. “Come.”

Savannah frowned a moment before she headed down the stairs toward them with what she knew had to be a blatant question on her face.

Brandon took her hand and drew her to the couch with him as the couple took a seat across from them. “Savannah, this is my mother and father. Jeb and Anna Cooper.” He looked at his parents before his attention returned to her. “This is Savannah Gibson.”

“It’s wonderful to finally meet you, Savannah. Brandon has told us so much about you.”

“He has?”

“Of course. I wanted to know all about my future daughter-in-law.”

“Mother!”

Anna waved her hand and said, “Oh, poo.”

Brandon rolled his eyes and sighed. “I called them from Texas and told them when we would be back here so they could visit to see their grandson.” He laughed. “I didn’t expect them to show up this soon, though.”

“Like I would stay away when my grandson is here to cuddle.” Anna focused on Savannah. “Can I hold him?”

“Of course.”

She shifted to stand, but Brandon reached for Marcus and said, “Here, babe. I’ll take him.”

Once he’d settled the baby into his mother’s arms, he returned to the couch and pulled her to his side.

“Oh look, Jeb. He’s got Brandon’s dimples.”

“We haven’t quite decided whether he’ll have brown eyes or blue,” Brandon said while his fingers traced patterns on her arm, sending shivers down her back.

His mother pierced Savannah with the same blue eyes Brandon carried when she said, “So. When are you two getting married?”

A pin hitting the floor would have been loud in the room as she looked at Brandon then back to his mother.

Chapter Eleven

“But...”

“I...”

“You are getting married, right?” His mother asked.

“Mom,” he growled.

Anna nuzzled the baby’s neck before she leveled the two of them again with her gaze. “Whose last name does he carry now?”

“His name is Marcus William Cooper,” Savannah answered through gritted teeth. He could feel the anger running through her when she stiffened next to him before she stood.

Shit! She’s pissed.

“He’ll carry Brandon’s last name whether we end up together or not.”

“Savannah...”

“I’m going upstairs.” She spun on her heel and almost ran up the stairs.

“Why did you do that?”

His mother shot him an innocent look and he almost groaned. “Do what, son?”

“Bringing up our getting married. Savannah and I haven’t even mentioned those words to each other.” He ran his fingers through his hair before he shot a glance to where she’d disappeared.

“She is living here, is she not?”

“Yeah, but...”

“I don’t understand what the problem is then, Brandon. You love her, don’t you?”

He stood and moved toward the window to peer out into the backyard.

Do I? Is that what these feelings are that have been running ramped through my heart and my mind since we met? What I felt for Rachel doesn’t come close to what I feel for Savannah.

“Brandon?”

He turned to face his parents. “I don’t know, Mom. I’m not sure what she feels—if anything—and we haven’t really talked about our feelings for each other.”

“I suggest you do then, son, before she moves on without you.”

That thought disturbed him. Savannah had laid down the rule of him not having another woman in the house, but she’d better not even think about bringing another man in his home. “I’ll be right back. Watch the baby.”

He took the steps two at the time until he reached the top and stopped, trying to decide where to look for her. The door to his bedroom stood cracked and when he pushed it open, he was startled to see her standing by the window. Walking up behind her, he laid his hands on her shoulders and relief washed through him when she leaned back against his chest.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered next to her ear.

“For what?”

“My mom.”

She shrugged. “It doesn’t matter. She’s not the one who decides what happens between us, we do. I shouldn’t have let it bother me. I guess it upset me more that she questioned Marcus’s last name.” Savannah turned around in his arms and put her hand on his chest, before she raised her tear-stained face. “I never wanted him to be thought of as a bastard, Brandon.”

He wiped her tears with his thumb. “God, baby, don’t cry.” She sniffed and another one cut a path down her cheek before he pulled her to his chest.

She rubbed her face against his t-shirt and he let his hands run down her back.
