“Oh no, please,” Rebecca said quickly, finally finding her voice. “I really don’t want any trouble. It will all be a big mess and especially with you two involved. I don’t want to see your respectable names rubbed in the mud…”

Alec and Tristan shared grinning looks at her words. “Respectable, you say? As far as Tristan and I know, we have quite the bad boy reputation.”

Rebecca blushed at that. “You know what I mean. I…I read enough about you two in the papers and the internet, about your achievements in the financial world and how well you treat clients. I wouldn’t have something like this mar your image. And if the police get involved, lord knows how it can escalate in terms of publicity. Besides…I wasn’t in any real danger. I don’t think Jason would be dumb enough to…to actually do anything.”

This time it was Tristan who scowled darkly. “Rebecca, he put his hands on you. Shoved you around and practically slammed you into the wall. That is dangerous enough; but then to hear the things he said to you…”

Rebecca’s blush deepened and she ducked her head. “None of that bothered me in the slightest.”

“Didn’t it?” Alec asked softly, rubbing on her knuckles with the ball of his thumb. “When bigoted jerks like Jason go around thinking what they do about how others choose to handle their sex life and relationships, it’s no wonder I had to bash his face in. Just thinking about what might have taken place if we didn’t just happen to show up…”

Rebecca felt an answering pang when she saw the pained look on their faces. She squeezed back on both their hands. “I’m glad you came at the right time,” she whispered. Her eyes fell shyly when their burning gaze sought hers. “I feel there’s so much I need to say.”

Tristan was already shaking his head, lifting her knuckles to plant yet another kiss. “We didn’t show up tonight wanting to confront you with reasons why you had to leave. Just for you to tell us what we need to do for you to come back.”

His soft, stirring words made her chest constrict, making it difficult to even speak,

Alec combed back the hair gently from her forehead. “Rebecca, we know the kind of relationship we want with you isn’t for everyone. Especially when we’re looking for something long-term. That’s why we took so long waiting for

. The first night we met you, we knew you were perfect. We just couldn’t risk scaring you away. So we took things a step at a time. Getting you to spend the weekend…then trying our arrangement out for a week. Once you said yes to becoming our submissive, you can’t imagine how that made us feel. The only thing that surpassed that was those many weeks ago when you accepted our collar and said you’d take on as our sub full-time.”

“And then I went right round and rescinded on all my promises,” Rebecca cried, ducking her head lower as tears of shame pooled in her eyes. “I promised I’d be a true sub, but I lied.”
I promised myself not to fall in love with you both, but I lied about that too
, she wanted to add but couldn’t.

“I can’t be what you want me to be,” she finally whispered, shaking her head regretfully.

Tristan cradled her face and made her lift her tear-stained eyes to his. “What would it take to make you believe you’re already all we’ll ever need?”

Rebecca knew she couldn’t let herself believe it. Her heart couldn’t bear just settling for fulfilling their physical needs. She wanted to mean something to their hearts as well.

“Rebecca, when we burst in and saw what Jason was doing to you, it was like a time bomb going off in my skull,” she heard Alec said torturously. “We really wanted to kill him. Most importantly, we knew we wanted to whisk you far away, where we could know you’d be safe in our love and adoration.”

Rebecca’s breath seized, and she couldn’t even believe her hearing. Her eyes flew to Alec’s, and his handsome face was in a smile that was tinged with a wicked delight.

“That’s right, beautiful,” he said, voice husky with passionate heat. “You’ve weaved your way deep inside to our very being. When you left; suddenly nothing tasted the same; everything was missing your delicious flavor. Tristan and I went crazy thinking we sent you away with our centering on just one side of our relationship. It took losing you to realize we went about things the wrong way.”

“No; it was my entire fault,” she said hastily, quelling the hope from her heart. “I knew the rules, but still I played the game. I got greedy; and that felt like I was being untrue to you both. You don’t deserve to be with someone like me.”

“We’re the ones who don’t deserve you,” Alec said deeply. “And now we’re going to do all it takes to win you back to our side where you belong.”

At her wide-eyed look of shock and wonder, both brothers smiled, with Tristan leaning forward to kiss her lips softly. “Did you really think we were ever going to let you go?” he asked with velvety possession. “We set out to teach you all about being a sub and fulfilling our dominant needs. While you…you taught us the meaning of love. With your sweetness, your giving and your heart.”

“Now’s our turn to show you how much we learned,” Alec said with a teasing smile.

Rebecca could hardly mistake the tender flames in their eyes for anything but what it was; true love and passion. Maybe she’d simply been blind to see it all along. Maybe they were right and incredibly, she’d opened their eyes to her way of thinking; even without her even knowing. She tried to hold back a smile but failed as Alec took up the bowl of savory, mouth-watering soup he’d brought in and proceeded to feed her. At the same time, Tristan began to massage her feet gently. Looked like they were all out to pamper her tonight and she was in heaven, her crazy episode with Jason long forgotten.

I really could get used to this
, Rebecca thought, her mind taking on a dreamy state. Especially when the brothers turned up the heat level like only they could; the soup bowl set aside as her hunky lovers joined her in the sheets. And just like she’d always guessed; the scorching-sweet passion igniting between them felt all the more enrapturing when carried with the wings of love.
