Chapter Fifteen

His eyes had become accustomed to the darkness. He knew his way in and out of her room with no problems. The closer he got it seemed like her scent grew stronger and stronger. He could navigate his way to her bedroom and back without bumping into anything. It seemed like an eternity since the last time he had been in this house, since he had felt her, since he laid unconscious on his mother‟s bedroom floor.

The thought of her lips around his dick had him anticipating each move she made, each touch, he closed his eyes and waited for his fantasies to come true but he would never get that sensation. Instead, he would open his eyes and find her kneeling beside him watching as his life faded away.

Rummaging through her dresser drawers he stopped once his fingers led him to what he had been looking for. He felt his dick harden as he held the soft cotton close to his face and inhaled deeply. The saliva from his tongue moistened the fabric as he licked over the crotch area imagining her labia in front of him. He placed the ones he had soiled back in the drawer and picked up a fresh pair of boy shorts; smelling them again before placing them in his pocket.

How long would he have to wait to be near her, to be inside her again? He wanted her to look at him the same way she did the first time; maybe she would finally tell him she loved him, that she needed him.

But these things took time, careful planning; he didn‟t want to scare her although he knew it wasn‟t fear that overcame her but an unspeakable feeling of desire in her eyes as she stared at him while he aggressively undressed her. He knew she wasn‟t fighting him; instead she was being playful, teasing him, and making him want her even more.

Why couldn‟t she unde rstand that he never wanted to hurt her? All he wanted was to give her what she had been asking for all these years, he only wanted to be her teacher, and to him, she would be his student.

He wanted to give her pleasure, bliss, satisfaction. He wanted her to experience the same ecstasy he had given to Micah. She should be grateful. He had taken her virginity, opened her up, and with each stroke shown her how much she meant to him.

He thought she had finally stopped denying that she wanted him when he walked in the house and seen her in her underclothes. He thought that she would finally let go of her inhibitions, realize that they weren‟t doing anything wrong and just let things happen, to just allow love to take over, but he was wrong. She tricked him, played games with his heart and she needed to be punished.

Thoughts of that day began to flood his mind as he laid down in her bed. Would she be receptive if she saw him now? Would she try to apologize and make up for her wrong doings?

He would make her pay for her betrayal; she needed to feel everything he felt except this pain would be a lot different. He wanted her to enjoy it, to be conscious so she could watch everything he did to her. Most would call it torture, but to him it was going to be foreplay.

He tried to have a little fun with the last girl but all she wanted to do was get high. Did she really think he was going to allow her to leave him? She was too full of herself, too used to getting what she wanted and he had to knock her off her high horse. Her pussy wasn‟t as good as his nieces, it wasn‟t as tight, but he wanted her, in that moment she needed to be Asjiah.

He could tell she liked it rough; she kept trying to run away; kicking and screaming, slapping him, scratching his face. He could be aggressive too so that‟s the way he gave it to her. She spit on him, he spit on her; she hit him and he hit her back; except his punches drew blood and after the first couple of blows she didn‟t want to play anymore, she didn‟t seem like she was enjoying herself.

He had kept her in that room for two months, as long as he was a paying customer, the guest service attendants didn‟t bother him. To them he appeared regular, he spoke every time he walked through the lobby after leaving the hotel to get food, and the noises they heard could easily be ignored with the “do not disturb” hangtag they gave you for the door.

Eventually the money he had taken from her purse ran out, her credit card reached its limit, and he was getting tired of trying to keep her conscious so he left. He wanted to be with someone he loved, someone like Asjiah.

The up and down motion was creating a heat between his hand and his dick that reminded him of her warmth. He kept a steady pace as he thought of the smoothness of her skin, the firmness of her breast, the softness of her lips, and the pink rose in between her thighs that seemed to excrete honey as he plunged deep inside of her.

His hands suddenly became sticky as his thoughts erupted and he came all over her sheets.

“H ello?”
“…”
“Hell-lo?”
“…”
“Bitch are you gonna say something or just listen to

me breathe?”
“A‟, Asjiah it‟s me.”
My stomach started to cramp as soon as I heard his

voice.
“What do you want CJ?”
“I just wanna talk I haven‟t heard from you.” “Um, maybe that‟s because I haven‟t called you.”

Ignoring her sarcasm CJ took a deep breath and tried to remain calm. “How are you and the baby?”

“Oh, now you‟re concerned? You weren‟t too concerned when you were talking to Corey while we were at the clinic.”

“I didn‟t call to fight with you A‟.”
“You shouldn‟t have called at all.” Pulling into the driveway I let out a sigh of relief noticing Marie‟s car wasn‟t here.
“I guess I deserve that.”
“You deserve a lot of shit but I‟m tired, I‟m hungry,

and I just got back from Mansfiel d so I really don‟t have the energy to play with you right now.”
“You went to see Angel?”
“How did you know my brother was in jail?”
“C‟mon A‟, when a nigga like Angel gets knocked, word spreads like wildfire.”
“Well you can douse the flames and tell whoever is running their mouth that he is doing just fine.”
“How did you get there?”
“What the fuck is this twenty questions?” Taking the rubber band from around my wrist I wrapped my hair in a ponytail.
“I drove CJ, that‟s how I got there.”
“When did you get a car?”
“Why does it matter? Did you buy it? Is there a reason for all of these questions or did you just call me to get on my nerves?”
He wanted to tell her that he loved her; that he was scared, nervous about being a father but he couldn‟t. She was still upset and he knew until she calmed down there would be no reasoning with her.
“I just wanted to see how you were doing.”
“I‟m okay but I‟ll be much better when you get off my phone.”
“Aiight A‟, you win.” Feeling defeated he put his head on the steering wheel. He had no one to blame for the way things were between them but himself, at a loss for words he quietly held the phone.
“Hello?”
“Yeah, I‟m here.”
“Well say something shit.” Swinging my bag over my shoulder I put my key in the door.
“I‟m sorry A‟.”
“Eh…,” Imitating a buzzer on a game show I turned the lock, “Times up. Call back when you have something to say that I can actually believe.

T he clatter that the security door made caused him to jump up from the comfort of her bed. Panicking he scampered around the room as he tried to map out his escape. He couldn‟t go downstairs, what if someone saw him? What if it was her? As bad as he wanted to see her, now wasn‟t the time, he wasn‟t ready. He had to think, and fast. He silently cursed himself for being so sloppy, so careless. But then he smiled.

Looking at the bed he realized that she would see it, see the mess he had made on her sheets and she would remember.

“I ‟m sorryA‟.” Mumbling I repeated CJ‟s words as I entered the house and locked the door behind me. “Yeah I‟m sorry too, sorry for believing all your bullshit.”

Unlatching the door to the basement I waited until I heard the familiar sound of his paws against the cement. I smiled as the huge Rottweiler appeared at the bottom of the stairs.

“Hey Bear.”

His nub of a tail wagged playfully as he waited for me to give him permission to move.

“Come on boy, come on.” Backing up I moved to the side to give his mammoth sized body room to maneuver on the small landing. Squatting down I brought my face close to his and scratched behind his ears. I tried to spend as much time with him as I could because I knew he missed my mother as well.

We had gotten Bear off a puppy farm in Germany when I was around two years old. Angel and I wanted the runt out of the group; a tiny, energetic fur ball named Tarzan. But when my mom seen Bear it was over; he walked up to her, licked her cheek and she gave my father the „I want this one face‟. My dad, unable to tell her no, bought him for her and he‟s been a part of the family ever since; at least what‟s left of it.

He followed me into the kitchen where I placed my bag on the table and half heartedly began to search through the cabinets for something to eat. Of course there was nothing in the house that appealed to my cravings so I decided I would lay down for a minute then go up to Hot Sauce Williams.

Bear emitted a low growl as his ears twitched, then perked up.
“You heard that too?” I looked at him waiting to see if the noise would repeat itself but all I could hear was my own shallow breathing.
Silence.
And then there it was again.
Footsteps.
Above me.
In my room?
I cautiously walked to the hallway that led upstairs. I tried to steady my heartbeat as I placed my hand on the handle. Bear began to snarl showing perfect fangs; teeth that I knew would rip whoever was up there to shreds. I closed my eyes, inhaled deeply… exhaled slowly…and opened the door.

Chapter Sixteen

Stacey paced back and forth in her bedroom occasionally glancing back at the money on her bed. Her plan to scam LT had gone to shit and she barely had a little over two thousand dollars. What was she going to do when it was gone?

She had been careless, stupid, and naïve to think that Angel would always be around to take care of her. She couldn‟t go to him and ask for help now.

Everything would start to unravel once Asjiah told him she had seen her. But what if she didn‟t? Wait a minute, what did she mean „if‟? She was positive that Asjiah had blurted out their encounter the second she saw Angel. It was only a matter of time before someone pulled the thread and the seams that were holding her together began to unravel.

She hadn‟t spoken to Angel since he got locked up. Given his reputation she was sure that he would be going to a fed prison. What were the fucking chances that he would get sent to the same place as LT? How was she supposed to know that? Did LT know? Did he allow her to walk into some big elaborate scheme that they had been plotting this entire time?

Her brain was in overdrive, she was becoming paranoid. She had been caged up in her room since she came back from Mansfield. How long could she hide here? She wasn‟t safe in her own house. She knew that if Angel wanted to get to her, no matter where she was, he would find her.

She nervously twisted a strand of the 2b Yaky through her fingers as she pondered her next move. Maybe she should just be honest and tell him what happened. Maybe he would forgive her, or maybe she could try to get Asjiah on her side and have her talk to him instead.

“Yeah fucking right,” There was no way Angel would forgive her and Asjiah was the last person she could count on as a friend. She knew she wouldn‟t go against her brother. The bond the two of them shared was unbreakable, they were like some monstrous pair of pit bulls; bred to fight and protect their owners, which in their case meant each other.

The shrill sound of her phone ringing almost made her scream. Her hand shook as she flipped open the receiver and waited for the caller to speak.

“Hello?”

You have a collect call from:
Angel Cappelli.” Fear gripped her heart as she listened to him say his

name.
“Press five to accept, or simply hang up to deny the
call.”
What was she supposed to do? Did he know? What
if he didn‟t? If she hung up she would be admitting her
guilt.
The automated voice repeated the greeting again,
pausing momentarily while Stacey made her decision. She quickly shut the phone and tossed it back on the
bed as if it was covered in some foreign contaminant. She
wanted to accept the call and take a chance that he might be
willing to hear her confession but something inside of her said there wasn‟t enough Hail Mary‟s in the world that could save her.

T he queen size bed cradled his six foot frame as he rolled over on his right side cursing the mattress for not being more comfortable. Unable to fall back asleep he clicked on the TV flicking through the channels until he found Sports Center. His dreams of playing basketball had fallen by the wayside and he wondered if he would ever make it to college.

He could still apply, he had decent grades upon graduating high school so he was sure he could get in but he wasn‟t ready to leave. He had unfinished business to attend to, loose ends to tie up before he could begin to make plans for their future.

“Fuck.”

He ran his hand over his chiseled abs, closed his eyes, and tried to will her out of his mind. But he couldn‟t. She was everywhere he turned; everywhere he looked, in his dreams, his subconscious, in his heart. He needed to move on, to forget about her.

Instead he remembered the last time he saw her, the last time he touched her, smelled her, and heard her laugh. He remembered their first kiss, how her lips felt against his, how she looked at him, and the sound of her voice.

Wasn‟t she the one who left him; without as much as a goodbye, farewell, a cheesy Hallmark card, or a voicemail? There was that one time that she did call but he ignored it out of fear that he wouldn‟t know what to say. His dismissal allowed her to believe he didn‟t want to talk to her and because of that, she hadn‟t called back.

So what was keeping him from calling her? “This is stupid.” Snatching his cell phone off the nightstand he started to dial her number at the same time his caller ID displayed a private call.
“Who is this?” Agitation seeped through the phone as he waited for the caller to identify themselves.

You have a prepaid call, you will not be charged for this call. This call is from
: Gabriel Torez.”
“Gabe?”
“Press five to accept the call, or, simply hang up to deny the call.”
He pressed the corresponding key and waited for the call to be connected.
“My nigga,” Dragging the first part of his greeting Gabe smiled as he thought of the expression the boy must‟ve had on his face.
“What‟s up?”
“Plans changed. It‟s time for you to pay us a visit.”
