I ran my fingernails softly over his skin. It made me even wetter when I felt his muscles flex and contract under my touch and goose bumps follow the path my fingers took. But when my hands reached for his cock, he brushed them away.

“Not yet, baby. I want this to be right. I want to make love to you.”

I swung my leg over him and shoved his shoulder. Rivers lost his balance and fell to his back with me straddling him.

“Hmm. I could get used to this view.” He reached up and cupped my breast in his hand. He squeezed the nipple between his thumb and finger. It hardened and he rolled and tugged on it.

I bent forward and kissed him. He fondled my breasts and I ran my fingernails lightly over his chest. I kissed down his body. I started at his mouth, and then moved to suck and kiss down the side of his neck to his collarbone and down his chest.

I found each nipple and flicked it with my tongue, nipping at it and then sucking it. I did this several times, earning a deep moan from Rivers. He tangled his fingers in my hair and curled and uncurled them as I worked my tongue over his erect nipples.

I kissed and teased with my nails farther down until I was just below his navel. His cock was hard and ready…waiting. I turned my head toward it. Rivers felt my breath
and tensed.

“Shit, Julia. You don’t have to do that.”

“I know.” I flicked my tongue over the head of his cock and he sucked in a breath through clenched teeth.

“Fuck. Really, you don’t have to.” He tried to pull me away.

I leaned back and looked at him. “You don’t like it? I thought guys—”

“What? No. I mean, yes. Shit. I love it. I’ve just never been with a girl who liked it. I don’t want you doing anything you don’t like.”

“Oh. Then don’t worry.” I slipped out of his grasp. “I like it. Just tell me what you want.”

“I think you’re the perfect woman.”

I slipped the head of his cock in my mouth and sucked on it. I got it good and wet and then slowly started to slip the shaft into my mouth.

“Fuck. Oh, Fuck
, Julia.”

I shifted on the bed and used one hand to massage
Rivers’ balls and the area between his asshole and ball sack. Each time I ran my finger over that area, he’d shudder. My other hand grasped his cock and held it steady while I moved my mouth over it. Finally I’d gotten it wet enough that I let the entire length of him sink into my mouth and down my throat.

“Holy Fuck!” Rivers lifted his hips off the bed and his hand fisted in my hair.

“I want you to grab my hair and move my head how it feels good to you. Go as deep as you want and as fast or slow as you want.” I started to lean forward when he stopped me.

“I don’t want to hurt you. You might gag or—”

“You’ll know when I need you to stop. You’ll feel me pull away. You’re not going to hurt me. I promise.” I smiled and twisted my hair and put it in his hand. “You were the one who said I liked it a little rough sometimes, remember?”

He gave half a chuckle. “Ah, yeah.”

I took him into my mouth. I lowered all the way down until he was down my throat before I rose up and sucked and nipped at the tip. My hand slid down and massaged his balls while I lowered onto his shaft a second time. This time I felt a little pressure on my head from Rivers guiding me, but he released it too soon and I rose up, letting my teeth skim the length of him as I did.

I took my hand and pressed his
hand against my head. “Come on, show me what you want. Show me what you want or I’ll stop.”

The next time I started to lower my mouth on his cock his hand pressed harder. He pushed my head further down and held it there while he moved his hips. He pulled my head up by my hair just as I needed to take a breath. As soon as I’d taken a breath, he pushed my head back down. His hips lifted off the bed meeting me. He thrust into my mouth several times before he yanked my head back so I could breathe.

“Shit, baby, this is incredible. Are you okay?”

“You’re making me so wet. Keep fucking my mouth.”

A deep groan sounded low in his throat and he shoved my head down on his cock. He used both hands to move my head up and down the length of him. His hips thrusting harder and faster.

I had to flatten my palms on his thighs and push up to get a breath. He immediately stopped. “Oh, God. I’m so sorry.” He pulled me up to his face and cupped my cheeks before kissing me. “Are you okay?”

I laughed. “I’m fine. You didn’t have to stop.”

“I wasn’t letting you breathe!”

“Rivers,” I kissed him, “every guy gets so into it they forget to stop. It’s okay. That just means you liked it.”

“Liked it? Shit, I never felt anything like it before.” He rolled over so fast I let out a small gasp. He was on top of me, between my legs. Our faces level with each other. His gaze was locked on mine. His hand moved down my body to my slit. He slipped in two fingers and groaned. “You’re soaked. You weren’t lying.”

“No.”

He moved his fingers in and out of me while his thumb moved over my clit. He kissed me slowly, gently. He took his time and let the tension build. The more my orgasm coiled in my stomach the more intense I kissed him and the faster he rubbed my clit.

“Wait!” I shoved his hand away. “I don’t want to come like this. I want you inside me. I want to come together.”

He positioned himself over me and rocked forward until he filled me. And soon the room was filled with soft moans and deep groans until we’d both reached our climax and fell exhausted on the bed.

The morning sun shone through the windows. I stretched and felt a peculiar soreness between my legs. I smiled when I remembered what caused it. I hadn’t had sex like that…well, ever. Rivers was insatiable. And he was an incredible lover. But more than that, as the night went on, I realized I liked him for more than what he could do with his hands and mouth. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

I rolled over to see if he was awake yet. His side of the bed was empty. A piece of paper lay on the pillow. Bile rose in my throat when I saw it. I knew what it’d be, a thanks-for-the-good-time-see-ya-around note. I picked it up by the edge like it’d burn me if I touched it. It was hard to read what he’d written my hand shook so badly.

Oh, no, no, no! The number in the home phone is wrong!

I’d gotten a new cell phone number after I broke it off with Jackass and never got around to programming it into the home phone. There really wasn’t any real reason to do so…except for occasions like this
.

He knows where I live. He’ll stop by when the phone number doesn’t work.

But he didn’t.

I waited all day for him, like I was a teenager. Jenny called for me to go out to dinner. I said no.

“Why?”

“I just don’t feel like it.” I chewed on my nail.

“Since when don’t you feel like Mexican? Okay, who’s the guy?” I could hear the smile in her voice.

“No one.”

“I knew it. I’ll be there in ten.”

“No, wait, Jenny…crap.” She’d already hung up. I was hoping Rivers would show up and if he did I didn’t want Jenny around. I loved her. She was like a sister. But Rivers was new and I planned on spending most of the night in bed. I didn’t even have plans for dinner. Eating was for pussies.

True to her word, ten minutes later a knock sounded on my door. My heart flew to my chest and my stomach dropped to my toes. I looked out the peephole and prayed it’d be Rivers, but Jenny smiled back at me and held up two white bags. I unlocked the door and she pushed her way in.

“I brought dinner. I figured we’d need privacy for this convo.” She pulled out a burger and tossed it to me. “Sit and talk.”

I plopped in the chair and unwrapped my burger. I’d already decided I wasn’t going to tell Jenny anything about the day before…well, at least not about how Rivers and I met. So imagine my complete and utter surprise when the whole story tumbled out of my mouth.

“Damn, Julia, you’re a slut!” She laughed so hard she fell onto her side on the couch. “It’s about time. I was beginning to wonder about you.”

“What?”

“Jackass has been gone for months. It’s time to get out there.”

“Yeah, but I boned the guy on the freakin’ subway!” I tossed my half eaten burger on the coffee table.

“Yeah, that’s the slut part. But I bet it was fun. What a rush. I’ve always wanted to do it in public.”

“Whatever. I think I was just a one night thing for him. He seemed so different, though. I guess I’ve been out of the game too long. My man-whore radar is off kilter.”

“You might hear from him. Don’t be so pessimistic. So he has the wrong phone number. He was here last night, right? So he knows where you live.”

“I thought of that, too, but I can’t remember if I gave the cabbie my address before or after Rivers got into the cab. And it was late when we got here. Unless he knows the area, he wouldn’t have known where he was.”

“So give it a couple of days and see. Then if you don’t hear from him, call him. Look him up in directory assistance.”

“Yeah, um, I don’t know his last name.”

Jenny just looked at me. Finally she said, “He must really be something special. You never act like this.”

I sighed. “I know.”

Four days later I called Jenny. “Hey! You want to go to dinner tonight?”

“Sure. What’s the occasion?”

“Remember I said that Rivers took me to a friend’s restaurant but I couldn’t remember the name? Well, I did some searching online and I found it. I want you to go with me and be my wingman, or whatever.”

“Okay. Seven? I’ve got meetings all afternoon.”

I practically jumped up and down in my office. “Sounds good. Just meet me at my apartment whenever.”

It was twenty after seven that evening when we got to Jesse’s restaurant.

“Wow, he brought you here? Nice.” Jenny looked around.

“I know, right?”

“Can I help you ladies?”

I turned toward the voice and smiled. “Hi, Jesse.”

“Ah, the subway girl.”

The freakin’ what? Subway what?

“Actually, subway girl is my alter-ego. By day I go by Julia.” I smiled.

He returned my smile with a cool one of his own. “How are you ladies today?”

“Great. Um, Jesse, meet Jenny.
