Now that it was over, fear blossomed inside Mason. He was in love with his brother. Dom, on the other hand, was an enigma. Now that they’d both gotten off, would Dom regret what they’d done? Would he push away from Mason or act as if sharing their bodies had been a colossal mistake?

Mason wasn’t sure he’d live through hearing regret in his Dom’s mellow voice. He didn’t handle rejection well from anyone; from Dom it would feel like taking a knife to the ‘nads. There was no turning back now; no way to pretend he wanted anything less than a loving, incestuous relationship with his brother.

After a moment, Dom rolled to the side and spread out beside Mason. Neither of them spoke as they lay there, trying to catch their breath.

Finally, when Mason had all he could take of the silence, he dared ask the question which weighed heaviest on his mind. “So, um…what happens now?”

Dom turned over, propped his head up on his hand, and faced Mason. “The same thing we’ve always done.”

Oh, god. It was worse than he thought. Dom probably wanted to go on as if nothing at all had happened between them. The very thought was enough to make icicles form over Mason’s heart. Tentatively, he asked, “What exactly does that mean?”

Dom’s forehead creased. “I don’t really see sex changing anything.”

Oh…” Mason’s spirit plummeted. Although it was inevitable, he hadn’t been quite prepared to hear Dom’s confirmation of his worst fears. Apparently there was no fool like a lovelorn one.

I mean,” Dom continued, absently running his fingers through the sparse hair between Mason’s pectoral muscles. “It’s still you and me against the world, right?”

So…” Mason gazed up at Dom, unwilling to let his foolish heart assume anything until it had been spelled out in clear, concise words. “Are you saying you want to do this again?”
Please. Please say yes…

Why wouldn’t I?” Dom leaned forward and feathered his lips over Mason’s. Afterward, he pulled back just far enough to look deep into Mason’s eyes, his expression sober. “Mason, I’ve never felt anything like what we just did. Making love to you transcended just the physical stuff into something I couldn’t describe if my balls depended on it. There’s no way I want to give this up—give you up—when we’ve barely scratched the surface of what we could share.”

Mason’s nose began to sting. He rapidly blinked his eyes, trying to stave off the impending tears. “Are you sure? This sort of thing,” he waved over their naked, tangled limbs, “isn’t exactly acceptable to most people.”

Dom smirked. “Are you trying to talk me out of wanting more from you now that you’ve gotten what you wanted from me?”

What? No!” Mason frowned and clutched at Dom’s shoulder. “Hell, no. I just want to make sure you know what you’re getting yourself into.”

I know I want you. As far as other people go…” Dom shrugged the shoulder not pressed against the mattress. “Who gives a shit what they think? What we do in our own home is no one else’s business.”

I couldn’t agree more.” Mason rolled onto his side and hugged his twin, breathing in their combined scents, along with sweat and sex. Emotion clogged in his throat, holding all the things he longed to say captive. Words didn’t matter anyway. He had Dom and that was all he needed. They could figure out the rest as they went.
