He loved the way she teased him with her eyes. Loved the way she pouted just so. Loved the way she barely, just barely, licked her lips in the sexiest come on he’d experienced.

“We’re not wasting time out here, Mal. We’re just setting the scene, making sure we understand how this night’s going to play out.”

She walked her fingers up his stomach and to his shoulders. “Well, I’m assuming making love is on your agenda.”

He nodded as she ran her hands through his hair. “Uhm hmm.”

“So then, what I’m wondering,” she stopped mid-sentence to run a trail of kisses along his jaw. “What I’m wondering is why we’re sitting out here in my car, steaming up the windows when you’ve got a perfectly fantastic bed in there.” She jerked her thumb toward his house and then continued. “Not to mention one heck of a sturdy table I seem to remember you mentioning.”

If she hadn’t mentioned the table, he figured he might have been able to continue the slow pace of seduction he’d planned for this night. But the image of her naked in his dining room was more than he could stand.

“I had this idea that you might like to see what making out in car might be like. Just a few kisses and then we’d head to the house.”

She laughed. “Don’t let me stop you.”

He turned and caught her lips with his in a kiss that left the windows plenty steamed. When he pulled away, he couldn’t help but smile. Her eyes, like his, were glazed with want. Her lips full from kissing.

“So, Mal, I know you really want to go inside and everything, but before we do, I need to know one thing.”

“So we’re on the same page for how this night is going to play out.”

“Exactly.” He paused for a moment. Let the tension build as he brushed his fingers across her knee. Enjoyed the pleasure of expectation before finally continuing.

“I have this idea, this plan actually, but I’ll need your help.”

She nodded without a moment’s thought. Her teeth biting into her bottom lip.

He brushed his hand a little higher, enjoying the soft scratch of denim under his fingers, and watched as her eyes nearly closed.

“I’ll need your full attention for this to work.”

He almost laughed as her eyes snapped open.

“You see I need to know…” He stopped and let his fingers track back down to her knees, and then back up again.

Brenton watched as Mallory leaned against the head rest on the driver’s side. He wondered what she’d do if he trailed his fingers over, just the tiniest bit.

But he didn’t trust himself. If he touched her there, he’d be lost. He continued, “I was wondering if you’d like to play a game.”

She nodded. “As long as I get to win.”

Always the competitor. “I feel quite confident you’ll feel like a winner when we’re done.” Sweat droplets were running down his back, and he could just see a tiny trail of water beads trailing down Mallory’s neck. He wanted to trace them with his fingers, but he didn’t dare.

If he did, all plans would be forgotten.

Whatever Brenton had planned, Mallory knew one thing. Enough was enough. Game or no game, she couldn’t take much more of this.

“Brenton.”

Through slitted eyes she watched as he ran his hands over her legs for the thousandth time sending little shivers of fire over her entire body.

“Hmm?”

He barely seemed to hear her. Well, she’d certainly get his attention.

“You have five seconds to explain the rules of this game, and then I’m going to jump your bones. And I won’t feel a bit bad about the fact that there was a perfectly fine bed in your house. There’s only so much a girl can stand.”

He laughed. And she decided right then and there to show him.

He obviously had no idea how stressful the entire day had been for her, had no idea how long she’d been dying to feel him, all of him.

Without another word, she pushed away from the seat and straddled Brenton’s lap. He certainly wasn’t laughing now.

But he was smiling as he held her back. “Okay, you win. Let’s go inside.”

Finally!

As he spoke she heard the click of the car door and felt the cool air.

With some maneuvering, she made her way out of the vehicle and watched as he followed.

When they finally reached the door he stopped her. “Before we go inside, there’s something I think you should know.”

Not this again. “What’s that?”

Nothing he could say would make up for this stall technique.

“I plan on indulging you tonight.”

“Indulging me?”

“When we go inside, I plan on making at least one of your fantasies come true.”

Okay so there was something he could say to make up for it. She wanted to melt right there on his door step.

“Well then, we better get inside.”

He’d asked her to name one fantasy. Now he was doing his best to deliver.

Mallory watched as he carried a tray with chocolate covered strawberries and champagne to the bed.

“It took me a few minutes to melt the chocolate. But you asked, and here I am, ready, willing and able to serve.”

Oh yes, he was certainly able. Brenton and chocolate. It didn’t get much better than this.

Champagne sparkled as he filled her crystal glass and handed it over.

When she moved to take a sip, he held out his hand. “Wait. Let me...” and he climbed across the bed holding a strawberry above her mouth.

She bit in and playfully closed her eyes. “Oh this very, very good.”

“I could watch you eat all night.”

“Don’t even think about it.” Mallory wasn’t about to go back to his little stalling games. “If that’s the way you plan on spending tonight, I’ll never talk to you again, I swear.” And then just to emphasize her point, she licked chocolate from his fingers.

He was such a tease. She would have told him that if he hadn’t leaned over and kissed her mouth, gently licking his tongue across her lips.

She sighed instead and leaned back against the pillows.

“An entire block could sleep in your bed, and you’d never know it.”

He leaned down beside her, flicking open her shirt buttons. “Interesting thought you have there. Should we invite the neighbors and see?”

She smacked him with a pillow as he moved to kiss her again.

“You really don’t want to play that game, Coach Baber, I promise I’ll win.”

She saw the challenging glint in his eyes and laughed. “We’ll see about that.”

Reaching over, she grabbed a second pillow and flung it at his chest as she scampered across the bed.

Their champagne glasses spilled onto the floor as he grabbed her ankles and pulled. But she didn’t care.

With every ounce of strength she possessed, she held fast to the edge of the bed.

When he finally moved, loosening his grip, she grabbed another pillow off the floor and turned, flinging it at his head.

Their mingled laughter rang out as she scampered across the bed to the other side for more pillows only to find them missing.

She turned just in time to see him holding one above his head. And she vowed right then that pillow fights were definitely going to be a part of their future.

God, he was absolutely glorious. Every part of him. From his sexy hair to his full chest to his....

She leaned back and licked her lips, saw when he made his decision, waited for him to press his hard body against her.

“You surrender, hmm?” He said the words against her neck and she felt her nipples harden in response.

Losing had never felt so wonderful. “Yes.”

He lifted himself above her, stared into her eyes. “I want to hear you say it.”

“Say what? That I surrender?”

She ran her leg up the inside of his calf and enjoyed the heated look in his eyes. Maybe she hadn’t lost just yet. “Okay. I’ll say it.”

Her hands reached around his buttocks and she pulled him to her as she repeated the words, this time in a whisper. “I’ll say it.”

She reached for the pillow behind them only to grasp empty air.

Brenton held the pillow over his head. “Looking for this?”

She bit her lip to keep from laughing. “Yes, that’s exactly what I was looking for.”

He threw the pillow across the room. “Too bad.”

And suddenly she didn’t want to play any more. She wanted him, and she wanted him now.

Her shirt lay open and he slowly ran his hands over her bare skin from belly, past her lacy bra to her throat.

“What’s this?” As he asked the question, his fingers brushed across her lips, and she couldn’t resist licking them. The barely there chocolate mixed with the taste of him.

He closed her eyes with damp fingers and sightless, she felt him raise her hands over her head, felt him clasp her wrists with one hand and lower his mouth to her neck. “Say it.” The words were whispered and she shook her head.

“No.”

She felt his hand unclasp her bra, felt the coldness of the air as he blew across her nipples. “Say it.”

If he wanted her to surrender, he had a strange way of showing it. Why in the world would she stop this? Her body felt on fire as she shook her head in denial again.

For a moment, she felt the bed shift slightly. Still, she kept her eyes closed.

Her hands were still clasped in his hand when she felt

warm, slick melted fudge dribble down her ribs, around her breasts and over her nipples.

Dear Lord. She inhaled in reflex and opened her eyes to see his head lean over her, his tongue shooting out to lick. Just as he reached her nipple, he lifted his head and smiled. “Say it.”

Her nipple puckered even tighter in anticipation and she lifted her back off the bed, finally saying what he wanted to hear. “I surrender. You win.”

His tongue laved her nipple, gently licking the chocolate sauce away. “Hmm. Much better than strawberries.”

Slowly he continued kissing her, his lips moving lower until most of the chocolate sauce disappeared.

Even as he released her hands, he continued his pursuit, kissing her knees and working his way up until he hovered right above her center.

Pure fire moved through her entire body and Mallory knew that if he touched her for even a second she would lose complete control.

When his lips finally, reverently touched her, her breath caught. For a moment she couldn’t breathe, and then his tongue slid between her folds and she inhaled so deeply her head spun.

Back and forth, he licked until she couldn’t stand it.

She wanted so much.

“Please.” She said the word as she lifted in time to the rhythm he started.

She could feel his smile and almost wept with need.

“Please, Brenton. I want you...”

She gasped as he touched her, his fingers joining his mouth in a symphony that left her without words.

Her body moved with his and she felt herself falling. He raised his hand and yet his fingers continued their dance.

She wanted to stop, to beg him to bury himself inside her, but she couldn’t. Couldn’t open her eyes, couldn’t stop moving, couldn’t stop the almost silent “oh god’s“ that slipped from her lips until finally, finally, she shattered.

“I love watching you come.” Brenton spoke the words seconds before he slid inside her.

She was warm and tight and he wanted to lose himself in her. Wanted to feel her pulse around him, wanted to know he’d given her ultimate pleasure.

He almost growled with the need as he plunged again and again.

She’d been lost in sensations from the moment he’d slid inside her, and knowing that left him even harder, more intent.

When she tensed yet again under him, he held himself back, letting the sensations wash over them both, waiting mere seconds for her to catch her breath.

Once she had, he laughed, pushing inside her slowly.

“You didn’t let me help.”

He shook his head. “You didn’t seem to mind. Still don’t I might add.”

She lunged against him in answer, and he fought to control himself for a second.

When she lunged a second time, her gasp sent him over and he lost himself in her as she led the rhythm, carrying them both in perfect time until he came with her.

For a few seconds he held himself gently above her, willing to stay in her embrace forever.

He could feel her heart beat under his chest, and he wondered how long it would take to match his.

“Hmmm.” She sighed against his throat and circled her hands around his back. He kissed her softly and rolled away.

“You take winning way too seriously.”

“I believe you won that round.” She rolled over on her side and propped up on her elbow. “I don’t think I’ll ever be able to look at chocolate the same way again.”

He was right there with her, and frankly, he couldn’t help but feel that was a good thing. “You dumped over a hundred dollar bottle of Champagne.”

She shrugged. “You can afford it.”

Pulling her to his side, he plopped down on the pillows. As his fingers ran over her bare skin, he spoke. “I’ve never felt so close to a person in my life as I did tonight.”

She shivered against him. “Me, too. It was scary.”

He’d been thinking more along the lines of fantastic, wondrous, unbelievable. “Don’t be afraid of me, Mallory.”

“I don’t want to be.” He felt her move her head even closer to his arm, felt the hot wetness of her tears.

God, she was crying. He’d wanted to make her feel special. “Don’t cry.”

He whispered the words and stroked her hair at the same time.

“I’m not crying.” She denied the action even as the tears flowed faster.

He pulled her on top of him and wrapped his arms around her. “Okay. You keep not crying, and I’m just going to try and make you feel better.”

Hugging her closer, he let his hands run up and down her back ever so gently. He didn’t want her to be afraid of him.

After a few minutes, her tears finally stopped. “I feel like an idiot. Crying when you just made me feel downright heavenly.” She buried her face into his chest in what he took for embarrassment.
