Lacey got down on her knees beside Nate.

“What are you doing?” He smiled at her.

“I'm saying yes. Yes, Nate, I want to marry you and I will always be with you. Yes!”

In hugging and kissing each other they fell onto the deck of Nate's yacht and collapsed into fits of laughter.

In the months to come, Lacey and Nate did declare their love to the world and got married in a small church not far from Nate's house in the Hamptons. It was a bright summer's day, the wind blew the soft lace of her calf length dress as they stood outside the church having their photographs taken.

It was a very small affair that took place with just the people closest to them. It was what she'd hoped her wedding would be and the marriage itself was full of the joys and surprises that Lacey could only have dreamed about.
