Gabrielle found herself moving mindlessly,
her legs tightening around Alex’s waist, her hands fumbling to
touch him everywhere. She kissed him wherever her lips could reach,
dragging her lips along his jaw, to the column of his neck. Alex’s
mouth connected with hers, and trailed to her throat. He buried his
face against her breasts, nuzzling, kissing and licking. Gabrielle
squirmed and writhed as the pleasure mounted inside of her. Alex’s
touch against her clit was almost more than she could bear—it was
driving her swiftly and inexorably out of her mind with lust.
Gabrielle tried to hold back for as long as she could, to savor the
sensations that were running through her veins.

Her second orgasm took her as much by
surprise as the first; she felt the growing tension in her body,
the heat building up deep in her stomach; within moments however,
she had lost the ability to hold back, to control her own lust.
Every muscle in her body went rigid, and she was crying out his
name, kissing everywhere her lips could reach, touching and
caressing feverishly as crackling fire lit up her nervous system.
She was only barely aware of Alex reaching his own climax inside of
her, the twitching of his cock along her inner walls a secondary
consideration to the heady waves of pleasure that rocked her over
and over again. Gabrielle’s spasms of pleasure intensified at the
sensation of his sticky-slick heat filling her, gushing into her
once, twice, again. Alex moaned out long and low, holding onto her
tightly as he finished with a few more hard, fast thrusts. He
collapsed against her, and they were both panting, dripping with
sweat.

Gabrielle smiled to herself in a reverie of
satisfied sensuality, in no hurry to catch her breath or recover.
Alex’s hands were slack against her body while he was in the grip
of the post-orgasm haze, but in moments they began to move,
caressing and exploring once more. Gabrielle kissed along the side
of his neck slowly and musingly, lapping at the sweat that had
accumulated against his shoulder. She knew that she wouldn’t go out
of her way to see Alex again after that night—she might keep his
phone number handy in case of a sexual emergency, but she didn’t
expect anything to come of it. Alex was a kind, attractive man, and
Gabriele appreciated the skill he had shown, but she was not at all
interested in romantic entanglement. She hoped, as they both fell
into a doze, that Alex would feel the same way.

Falling asleep, her mind briefly fastened on
Tyler Edwards once more; she thought of how cool and charming he
had been even after she had barged in on his kink-filled tryst, and
thought idly as she began to drift off that a man that powerful
should be more afraid of discovery; after all, she could easily go
to the press at any time in the future and reveal what she knew.
Even if she didn’t have any proof, the rumor of it alone would be
sufficient to devil him. She realized however that it would be
difficult for her to even go to a magazine or tabloid with what she
had seen; there was so much clout behind Edwards that she would
just as likely be laughed out of any office she entered with the
intelligence about his apparently kinky ways. Even if she’d had
proof, it would be difficult to get anyone to print it. By the same
token, however, Gabrielle had found herself deeply impressed with
how in control Edwards had been; the only moment when he had looked
even slightly out of his element was when she had threatened him.
Even then, Gabrielle thought, he hadn’t looked actually
afraid—merely startled that someone had addressed him in such a
way.

The prospect of her coming interview with the
man took Gabrielle into a deep and satisfying sleep, and her last
thought before darkness took her was that she hoped that Alex would
be willing to have a quickie before she left him in the morning—she
was certain her dreams would be haunted by the enigmatic CEO.

Chapter Three

Gabrielle went about her usual business in the week that she was
waiting for her interview with Tyler Edwards; she did some
freelance work, designing a logo for one client, and finishing up
all of the loose ends that she had in terms of billing and
invoicing—she could expect, if she got the internship, to start a
few days later, and she would have little time to actually track
down her clients at that point. She also worked on her portfolio
and resume during the week, reaching out to her references and
making sure that they were still available and willing to speak on
her behalf. If she somehow managed to botch the interview,
Gabrielle wanted to be prepared to move forward with alternate
plans. She had been freelancing for months, more because she was
waiting for the right opportunity to present itself; she could
support herself fully from her freelancing, but she liked the
stability of a job. In addition, even if she did decide to one day
go back to working for herself, it would be worth it to have an
entry on her resume and profile that featured a company like
Edwards Industrials as a previous employer.

Even as she went about her normal tasks,
Gabrielle’s mind kept straying to the enigmatic CEO. Out of
curiosity, she researched him, thinking that having a bit of an
edge on the person she was interviewing was even better than having
research on the company generally. Spending an afternoon on the
task, she saw that even if she had made good on her juicy bit of
gossip about Edwards fooling around with a secretary, it wouldn’t
have put much of a dent in his reputation; tabloids hounded the
man, and Gabrielle saw plenty of pictures with anonymous, beautiful
women—rarely the same woman more than twice. Gabrielle also read
through interviews that the man himself had done, explaining his
business philosophy. Gabrielle noticed that in spite of
journalists’ probing, Edwards kept his personal life to himself.
Gabrielle wondered at that; she could understand a desire for
privacy, but it seemed a little silly to deflect from questions
about his romantic life when he was constantly showing up at events
with beautiful women—like inviting questions he wasn’t willing to
answer.

Gabrielle learned that her instinctive
thought about Edwards’ wealth and power was definitely accurate;
Edwards was part of the most elite of wealthy men. She read
conflicting reports of his net worth, but every article posited
that it was in the billions. It was clear to Gabrielle as she
delved into her research of the man, that he was the type who would
probably ask very pointed, insightful questions in their interview;
but they would be strictly professional. She looked forward to
matching wits against him, even if she didn’t get the internship
she was interested in. It would be an interesting experience,
Gabrielle thought. Edwards didn’t talk much about his personal
life, but he was positively candid about his professional life; he
had a strong belief in hard work, and had run Edwards Industrials
with the idea that every single person had to be responsible—from
the top down. It made sense, Gabrielle thought, that he had made
the offer to interview him herself when he had heard what his
employee had done. It was a matter of taking responsibility for the
misconduct. Gabrielle wondered what exactly would happen to
Richards as a result of his bad choice in being an asshole to
her.

Her research led her to take another
afternoon off the day before her interview was scheduled, to go
shopping. She knew that Edwards would appreciate it if she showed
up looking absolutely professional, and Gabrielle thought that
while her previous outfit certainly fit the bill, she didn’t want
the CEO to see her in the same thing twice; while she didn’t know
for sure that he would notice the fact, she suspected that he was
exactly the kind of person who kept detailed mental notes. If she
showed up at his office in something different, but every bit as
stylish and professional, it might tip the balance in her
favor.

Gabrielle went to her favorite boutique
clothing store, La Curve, and spent over an hour combing through
the racks, trying to think of what would be best. With her dark
hair and eyes, greens and blues tended to suit her very well.
Gabrielle was surprised at how anxious she felt when she was
comparing different outfits, trying to decide whether her
selections were professional enough, and whether she felt
comfortable in them. She tried more conservative outfits, and felt
constrained enough to know that even if they were stylish and
becoming, she would come across poorly simply because she would be
reacting to how closed up and covered she was. There were a few
that she liked but which she knew were less than perfectly
professional, which were put aside. Gabrielle was surprised at how
flustered she felt. It wasn’t simply an interview with an important
person; in the back of her mind, she knew that she had to vindicate
herself for the incredibly offensive way that Richards had spoken
to her. She had to look her absolute best not only because she knew
that Edwards would respect her more for it, but because she would
respect herself more for proving that she didn’t have to be a size
zero in order to look attractive.

Eventually, Gabrielle abandoned the idea of
choosing a pre-matched set and instead began combining separates;
that was when she finally found her success. She purchased the
outfit and carefully hung it up on the door of her closet as soon
as she got home so that it wouldn’t get wrinkled. She had a pair of
shoes already that would coordinate with it, as well as modest
jewelry. She admired her outfit for a long moment in the evening as
she made her way to the shower. She would technically have time to
bathe before her meeting the next day, but Gabrielle wanted as much
time as possible to get ready.

Her thoughts turned back to Edwards’
tryst with the secretary as she stood in the shower, washing her
hair thoroughly. Gabrielle thought once more how strange it was
that she had been so turned on by what Edwards had been
doing—spanking the tied-up woman, who was clearly enjoying
herself—when Gabrielle had never had even the slightest submissive
tendencies in her life. She would have said that the idea of a
woman being spanked or tied up by a man was repellant if someone
had asked her before that moment; but seeing it in action, seeing
the almost visible current of lust between Edwards and the woman
had been powerful. Gabrielle’s hands began to wander as she called
up details, remembering the strength she had seen in Edwards’ chest
and arms and hands, the look of desire and satisfaction on his face
as he brought his hand down on the woman’s ass. Gabrielle heard the
woman’s moans of pleasure and assent in her mind, and she was so
possessed by her own vicarious arousal that she had to shake
herself out of it. It wouldn’t be convenient at all to have her
thoughts turn to that scene while she was in the interview.
Instead, Gabrielle turned the water to cool and forced herself to
think of her research into the company and into the man who ran
it.

Chapter Four

The next day, Gabrielle felt uncomfortably
fidgety as she waited for it to be the right time to start getting
ready. She almost wished she hadn’t cleared her schedule as
expeditiously as she had—one or two tasks unrelated to the
interview would have at least distracted her during the morning
hours. Instead she had breakfast and made a few phone calls, got
caught up on the news, and tried to remind herself that she was
qualified and confident of her rightness for a position with
Edwards Industrials. She knew, deep down, that she was a good
candidate for the internship that she had applied for, but there
was no real way for Edwards to know that about her already; she
didn’t give him her resume, and she didn’t know whether or not he
would have gotten the resume from the man she had originally
interviewed with.

As Gabrielle began to get ready, she wondered
about the fate of the man she had interviewed with idly; she
pondered if Edwards had even discussed the situation with him at
all. Gabrielle thought that depending on how the interview went,
she would ask about it. She carefully pulled her hair back and into
a neat bun, securing it with a few hairpins whose green crystal
tips would stand out against her hair attractively as well as
coordinating with her outfit.

She had decided on a vivid green blazer, cut
in such a way as to emphasize her curves, paired with a black skirt
that fell just a little bit shorter than the one she had worn to
her first interview. Under the blazer, Gabrielle wore an off-white
blouse with a slightly plunging neckline that revealed just a
little bit of cleavage—while not being overtly sexual. Gabrielle
stood before her mirror, admiring herself in the outfit while she
applied makeup carefully, sticking with the simplest touches. She
only wanted to give herself a fresh, clean appearance, and she
wasn’t going out with friends, after all. Gabrielle stood back and
smiled at herself, thinking that she looked flawlessly professional
while also looking attractive and just a little bit sexual. She
hoped that Edwards would appreciate the distinction; she certainly
felt more confident and powerful as she stepped into her favorite
pair of black patent heels, gathering her portfolio case and a
small purse before she left her apartment.

When she arrived at the building that housed
Edwards Industrials, Gabrielle went to the main reception desk on
the ground floor. She realized that she really didn’t have any idea
of where Tyler Edwards’ office was—and that was an important
detail. She waited for the receptionist to look up from the phone
call she was on, glancing around and taking in the subdued luxury
of the décor. Gabrielle had gone through the lobby so quickly the
week before that she hadn’t really noticed how much the design of
the lobby had focused on pulling in light from outside—vaulting
windows, bright metal, and plenty of space in spite of the people
quickly moving through on various errands. “Yes, Miss?” the
receptionist said, looking up as she put down the phone. Gabrielle
smiled politely.
