Dear Reader,
The Bride Wore Feathers (aka: Dakota Dream)
is the first book I ever print-published. Naturally, it's very close to my heart.
I got the idea for the story while visiting North Dakota, where my husband was born and raised. I was lucky enough to tour Custer's beautiful home at Ft. Lincoln State Park, read the books Libbie wrote about her life with Custer, and learn a lot about the Lakota/Sioux Indian Tribe.
Custer's wife and the male relatives who died with Custer at Little Big Horn are actual characters. Everyone else is a figment of my imagination.
