Korean Tripi

A collection of Buddhist texts from the Kory
period (935–1392). Its first edition was completed during the reign of King Munjong (1047–82) but destroyed at the time of the Mongolian invasion of Korea in 1231. Under the patronage of King Kojong (1214–59) the woodblock carving of the second edition was undertaken in 1236 and completed in 1251; one of the most comprehensive collections of Buddhist texts up to that time, this is now stored at the Haein monastery on Mount Kaya.
