"He needs help, and I enjoy charity work." I couldn't help myself. I felt sorry for the bastard.

"Don't tell me you're going to fuck him," Bruce said, shaking his head.

"Not a chance in hell, but I'd love to teach him a lesson on respect, boundaries, and the proper way to treat a woman."

I walked up behind him, leaning against his shoulder. "You need what I'm selling, but it's not what you think."

"Really?" he asked, running his finger around the rim of the empty glass.

"I told you I liked you. I'm going to help you with this girl that has you in such an unpleasant disposition."

He turned toward me as his lip curled on one side. "And why would you do that?"

"I told you already. I like you. And well, you look like you need some help." I wasn't sure he was capable of rehabilitation, but I knew I was going to enjoy knocking him off the pedestal he was perched on.

Bruce startled me out of my trip down memory lane. "Yeah, Madison. Whatever you need." I could hear him moving around. "Just cut the shit and tell me what's going on."

I cleared my throat. "As I said, I need you to cover. If that's a problem, I'll call Jamie. She's always eager for the opportunity to showcase her skills. More importantly, she knows who calls the shots. So what's it going to be?"

"Yes, Ms. Stuart. I'll cover for you," he replied, sarcastically.

"Watch your attitude. It's a good thing I like you." I paused. "One more thing, if anyone comes around looking for me, I'm gone."

"Make my day and tell me that you're talking about that annoying son of a bitch. Because if you are," he said laughing, "I'll be more than happy to deliver the message."

The driver came around and opened the door. "I have to go. I'll be back by Wednesday. In the meantime, if you need anything, just call. Thanks." Before he could say another word, I hung up.

As I looked at the time on the phone, my heart sank. Like clockwork, Rick would call me every Saturday morning at ten o'clock.

At first, his calls had been an intrusion on my personal time, but as time passed, I'd started foolishly looking forward to them. He'd be excited over how my strategy worked and tell me that I was amazing. Then he'd pick me up, and we'd have lunch as I continued his training. We'd hated each other for the most part. I'd never met anyone more egotistical and selfish than him. He'd challenge me at every stop and exhaust me with his relentless inability to take no for an answer.

I sighed. Other than the fact that the man oozed sex appeal, he wasn't that horrible once you got to know him. He was weird with his World War II obsession, but he was funny and sometimes a little sweet. And…
nothing
. He was an asshole.

Pathetic, Madison. Really, you're being absolutely pathetic, giving this jerk a second thought. Get this under control.

I looked at my phone one more time and shut it off. If he called, I didn't want to talk to him. If he didn't, I'd preferred not knowing. I'd deal with it when I had some distance.
I'm pitiful
.

I slipped my phone in my purse and was determined to put all of this behind me.
For God's sake, I didn't do this, ever.

I made my way through the airport. The rush of the crowd and marathon to the gate was just the antidote to my weak-minded thinking. This was perfect, exactly what I needed. Relief washed over me.

As I reached my gate, my shoulders dropped. My carry-on fell to the floor and my head hung low as I cried, "NO!"

Dejected, I trudged my way through the mass of displaced passengers and sought refuge in the American Airlines Admiral's Club. It was my luck that the flight had been delayed due to inclement weather. There was no amount of luxury or first class service to reverse my frustration. Impatiently, I tapped my manicured fingers on my pant legs as I stared out the window on this cloudy and drab January morning.

My empty cup, spoon, and tea bag were neatly set on the table in front of me. "Would you like some more tea?" asked Tiffany, the perky and customer friendly attendant.

I looked up at her with a flat smile. "Yes, please." She replaced the small kettle, a selection of teas, and a fresh cup.

I really didn't want tea. I needed a stiff drink. Fuck it, I had to get laid. I needed that. I closed my eyes, relaxing and let myself go to my happy place.

I needed to feel the heat of a man's body against mine. I longed for his hands to touch me, fondle me, and grope me. I wanted to feel his dick pressed up against me.

The thought of grabbing his hard cock and toying with it, licking and sucking it, and then sliding down on it and riding it caused a soft tremor to flow through me and made my pussy throb. I could feel a warm heat radiate off me, and I bit my curled lip. I let my head fall to the side as I pressed my legs together, my body relaxing. Yes, this was exactly what the doctor
ordered.

Feeling his warm breath brush against my neck, I was shaken from my fantasy. The sensation sent a shiver through my already aroused body. "I hope you're thinking about what I'm going to do to you tonight."

My eyes popped open. "Alex…"
