To my surprise Elish opened up a keypad I hadn’t noticed before and pressed several numbers. When he opened the door I realized there was only a set of stairs leading down to a lower level.

I walked down the stairs with him. And though I couldn’t see what was in the rest of the room I saw the master bedroom with a dim light on and Jade sleeping peacefully on the bed.

“Perish will not violate you again, you may roam the house as you see fit. I would expect this paranoia and need to barricade yourself in that bedroom has passed?” Elish said when I started to walk towards the spare bedroom.

My shoulders fell, and all I could do was nod. I just wanted Reaver awake so he could be my leader again. I didn’t know what I was doing... all I felt was just fear and sadness.

“Yes, sir,” I said quietly, in that moment, under his gaze I felt like the fourteen-year-old boy in Tamerlan again. Though in the same thread, I knew he wasn’t going to hurt me, and I felt safe with him here now. He could control Jade and he could control Perish.

There was something else that was eating the corners of my brain, chewing through the barriers I had erected that prevented me from going off the handle. It was the dream that I had had, the one where Reaver had come back... not himself.

“Will he be normal when he wakes?” I asked quietly, knowing that he probably thought that was an idiotic question. “He won’t be... different?”

Sure enough, Elish stared at me for a moment. “Different? Perhaps you should not watch zombie movies, Mr. Massey. I would steer away from the vampire ones as well.”

I slunk down. “I just had a dream that he was evil when he woke up. I’d never... well, I don’t know for sure but –”

“You saw him die when Greyson strangled him, and he also died on his way to rescuing you in that factory from what Lycos had told me. Did he seem different back then?”

Reaver had died when he was rescuing me? I didn’t know that, he had never told me, but then again he wouldn’t have known obviously.

All I could do was shake my head no, and let out a tense breath. “I have nightmares a lot, just warning you... if I wake up screaming...”

Elish picked up where I had trailed off. “My pet has the same issue; there is medication he takes everyday for it. I’ll see about securing some for you as well.”

Reaver had always threatened to medicate me, maybe that was a good idea. Before all of this I was clawing his face in the middle of the night. He would probably be relieved.

“Thank you, Mr. Dekker... I’ll... I’ll go to sleep now. Have a good sleep too.”

The chimera nodded. “Good night then.”

And I did sleep well; I hadn’t slept this well in a long time. When I woke up the next morning I was undisturbed, in a clean bed and a brown room. It sounded like everyone was already upstairs.

I took my first hit of the heroin, showered and was surprised to find one of our duffle bags resting outside of my door. I opened it and got out some of my greywaster clothes, which now seemed so ratty in this elite apartment

It smelled like home though, it smelled like the basement. I found myself bringing an old t-shirt of Reaver’s up to my nose and just taking in the scent I had grown so accustom to. Wondering if, like the memories of Aras and our first couple months together, it would eventually fade.

But no... as long as Reaver was beside me, I would be okay. As long as he was safe and we kept him out of the hands of Asher.

I buttoned up a blue button-down with black cuffs, and put on the old cloth pants I still had from Donnely. Then, with a deep breath for bravery, I walked out of the side bedroom and into what I realized must have been Elish’s private office. I guess that would explain why it was locked.

I resisted the urge to explore the office. It was lined with bookshelves full of books and little trinkets, but I didn’t have permission and knowing Donnely there was probably cameras everywhere. Instead I shoved my hands into my pockets and walked up to the main floor of the house.

I walked into the living room to see Jade cooking breakfast in the kitchen, filling the entire apartment with the smells of arian bacon and frying potatoes. Two things I haven’t had in a long time. Sitting by the dining room table was Elish, clicking away on his laptop and Perish who was–

– who was looking at me like he was about to burst into tears.

I looked away from him and walked into the dining room.

“Did you sleep well, Mr. Massey?” Elish asked. He was holding a coffee cup in his hand and the other was typing something on his laptop.

“I did, thank you...” I said quietly. “Please sir, just call me Killian. Mr. Massey makes me sound so old.”

Elish glanced up; I think I saw the faintest hint of a smirk on his face. “Very well, Killian, though perhaps you declaring yourself as old is convenient. When is your birthday?”

I stared at him for a second. My mind had seemed to be in anxiety-limbo for the past several days.

“Oh... not for several months,” I said quietly. He must be leading to something because Elish knew everything. He knew when my birthday was.

“Yes, well, it’s a fair excuse either way.” Elish looked behind him to where Jade was flipping pancakes. “Jade, get the nylon case, everything else can stay on the plane. I do not wish for the boy or Reaver to have access to that M16 quite yet.”

He got Reaver’s M16 too? I wasn’t sure where it had ended up. That was a relief, that gun was as a part of Reaver as his cargo pants.

Jade quickly returned with the nylon case and held it out to Elish. Elish didn’t receive it though. He motioned towards me. “It’s his, give it to him. His birthday might not be for a while but we can forget that fact this time.”

I turned around with a look of sheer bewilderment. Jade seemed puzzled as well when he handed me the nylon case about the size of Elish’s laptop,

“I didn’t retrieve your guitar as requested. It’s too bulky and there may be travel in your future. This one is more appropriate,” Elish said casually as I unzipped the case.

I took out a small metallic plate, about two inches thick. It was something I had only seen with travellers coming to stay in Tamerlan. It was a Cilo guitar, a very expensive guitar that you could easily carry around. The body of it looked like an electric guitar but it was smaller and still functioned as acoustic. The spine part folded into the main part. The strings folded with the spine and would auto-tune once snapped into place. It was an amazing little instrument; the travellers could always make some nice sounds out of it.

“But...” I heard Jade say.

I looked up and saw Jade looking at the guitar, his upper lip almost disappearing into his mouth. “That was mine... Luca trained me how to play on that guitar.”

Elish gave him an iced look, which made the cicaro take a step away from him, his yellow eyes still looking at the guitar.

“And you failed to learn how to play properly. I am sure Killian will be able to coax something out of that guitar that does not sound like someone is beating a bag of scavers,” Elish said with a warning tone on his voice.

Behind him Perish laughed. Jade whirled around and glared at him and at this point I myself took a step back.

“Do you have something to say, retard?” Jade snarled, obviously taking his anger out on someone he didn’t have to bow down to.

Unfortunately Perish, it seemed, also needed to vent his feelings, probably the guilt over what he had done to me. In a second the scientist was on his feet, his small paperback laying forgotten on the couch.

“I have a lot to say, pet. Go back to cooking, slave!” Perish snapped, and to my surprise he pushed Jade. “Have you not learned to obey your master, slumrat?”

I looked over at Elish for help, but all he did was take another drink of his coffee cup before setting it down. Even when Jade pushed Perish back, making the scientist spring up and take a swing at the pet, Elish didn’t move an inch.

“Killian, the pancakes are about to burn. Flip them and perhaps while we eat you can play a song on that new guitar of yours?” Elish said nonchalantly, right as Perish fell backwards, crashing into an unoccupied chair behind him. Then a moment later Jade lunged at him and started smacking Perish in the face.

The blond chimera still didn’t move; he only picked up his coffee cup to keep the rocking table from spilling it.

This... this was an interesting family.

Chapter 4

Jade

I could feel the excess of the sheets ball under my clenched fists, damp and heated from me bunching and grasping them again and again. I buried my face into the pillow and opened my mouth in the swirling concoction of pure ecstasy and unimaginable pain. I screamed into it and bit down.

I chewed on the flannel pillowcase and pulled it, suppressing another groan. Behind me the pain was intense; a burning pressure that I knew would rip me apart at any second. Then the pressure withdrew, and as he separated our joined bodies I heard a cruel chuckle.

“So quiet tonight. Are you afraid Mr. Massey will hear you? You know these walls are soundproof.”

“No.” I managed to lift my head up enough to say that. I rested my head to the side and started trying to catch my breath. As I shifted my body my legs brushed up against the wet semen that had shot out of me and onto the sheets underneath. I lost track of how many times he had brought me to climax.

I screamed as he thrusted it all the way in without mercy, but this time I didn’t bury my face back into the pillow. I screamed for him loud and clear before clenching my teeth hard in my mouth.

“That’s more like you.” I felt him grab my hair and pull my head back. I panted and groaned feeling my ears ring with every thrust. It always felt like he was fucking my spine in this position.

The next orgasm made my legs collapse; I could no longer hold myself up. My knees slid on the bed until I was splayed out, my ass still up in the air. I put my face back into the pillow panting hard before inhaling sharply as I felt his body weight press into me.

“Perhaps I should get Perish in here?” his cold voice purred into my ear.

I gasped as I felt him push a finger inside my already stuffed-to-capacity ass. I felt him kiss and suck on my neck before he gave it a hard bite. I cried out and felt my head go hot as his tongue ran against the bite mark; collecting the blood he coveted so much. “Or Killian? I’m sure he’s never taken a man for himself before. I can get him right now.”

I twisted my body away from his mouth and tried to turn to him. “You won’t touch him. Reaver would never listen to you if he knew you made Killian fuck me.”

A cold chuckle. I shuddered as he continued to kiss my neck, his thrusts slowing down to a slow rocking of his hips. “Indeed, don’t think I didn’t notice how tight you are tonight. Not one orgy in my household? Three virile, attractive young men, every one of them sex starved and you didn’t even have one little slip? Not one blow job in the cover of darkness?”

“I’d never do that!” I snapped at him. I felt him wrap his frosted hands around my arm; I shrugged it away and continued to move away from his mouth.

“I’d never sleep with any of them, you know that,” I said with my own ice in my words. I was annoyed that he would even think of me like that.

Another laugh. “I look forward to sampling the fruits of the greywastes. I would suspect Reaver would put up even more of a fight than you did. Mounting a feral greywaster would be a step up from fucking defiant slumtrash.”

I felt my neck tremble as a growl reached my lips. This amused him. Elish’s hand grabbed the bottom of my chin and he started speeding up his thrusts.

The thought filled me with anger. I didn’t know who I was angrier at, Reaver and Killian being touched by Elish or Elish, my master and owner, touching them.

My teeth clenched and gritted, then I felt his fingers trace my lips, as if wanting to sample the anger himself. In that moment my rage outranked my beaten in obedience and I bit him.

Elish only chuckled; he didn’t remove his finger, instead he shoved another one into my mouth, both sideways so they were resting snugly in my jaws.

“This upsets you does it?” he said in derisive amusement. “How does Killian’s small little frame squealing under my body make you feel?”

I could taste copper; I must’ve drawn blood. I wrenched my mouth away from his static touch even though I loved the taste of his blood.

I felt my lips curl up in a snarl. “I’d kill him! You’re m-m-mine!” I tore at the sheets as I felt him reach under and grab my testicles.

“I’ll have to ask Silas how he compared to you.”

“Hey, fuck off! That’s too far,” I snarled through a strangled gasp. I tried to wrench my hands back so I could stop him but a rattling of chains reminded me that was impossible. My hands were cuffed at my leather bracelets now; I didn’t have enough slack.

He gripped harder and I continued to spit my poison, until with a few hard thrusts I came. Though the orgasm was nothing but a burning stinging pleasure from its prolonged and continued summons, but I still savoured every moment of it.
