ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Don Bendell is a bestselling author whose style has been likened to Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey; a disabled Green Beret Vietnam veteran; and a 1995 inductee into the International Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame. A widower, Don owns the Strongheart Ranch in southern Colorado, named for his number-one bestselling western, and is the author of the sequel
Blood Feather
(Berkley Books, August 2013), with more than three million copies of his twenty-seven books in print.

Don also wrote the Detachment Delta military thrillers from Berkley Books, as well as the Criminal Investigation Detachment trilogy. He has six grown children and eleven grandchildren. Bendell has dated John Wayne's oldest granddaughter, who remains a close friend, and has been likened to John Wayne in some ways regarding his personal code of the West, patriotic views, and love of the cowboy lifestyle.

Don has a masters degree in leadership from Grand Canyon University. Don married again in July 2015 and is also now pursuing a Ph.D. in general education at Walden
University.
