I could see the violet light burning in Hakan’s eyes, but there was something else there, an emerald tinge. As I came I realised it was the reflection of my own eyes, burning with an intense and supernatural green flame. I cried out, my orgasm hitting me like a pack of wild dogs, and saw the reflected green fire leap in Hakan’s eyes. As his seed began to fill me I was out of my body once more, again above the city, this time though I was not still but speeding downwards, I recognised the river, the park, my street. I was heading straight for the roof of the building, just as my spirit self was about to crash into the tiles I awoke to find myself back in my own body, pressed against the wall by Hakan’s heavy bulk.

We collapsed onto the bed still entwined and I looked round at the wreckage of the room, the picture shattered on the floor, the furniture overturned by our frenzied love making.

It was morning when I awoke. I untangled myself from Hakan’s sleep-heavy limbs, struggled into a dressing gown and walked into the kitchen, my exhausted brain telling me
coffee, coffee, coffee
. I smiled to myself as I sat at the table listening to the bubbling pot. This is the kind of girl I wanted to be, this is the kind of girl I wanted the world to know me as. Despite having never smoked in my life I was filled with the sudden urge to light a cigarette. Maybe I could even start wearing sunglasses indoors.

I heard a faint hesitant knocking at the door. As I opened it I saw a small apologetic looking old-man standing in front of me, he seemed embarrassed and was staring at his feet.

“Hello,” he said. “We haven’t met yet, but I live in the apartment next door. My wife asked me if I’d mind having a word with you about the… ah… noise last night.”

I could feel my cheeks flushing, it didn’t matter what kind of girl I now was, this was still a mortifying way to be introduced to my neighbours. “Oh my goodness. I’m so sorry. I’m Hope by the way, I’ve got some coffee brewing, could I invite you in for a cup?”

“No Hope, Don’t!” I heard Hakan’s shout from the bedroom, but it was too late.

“Don’t mind if I do.” Said the old man. He looked up as he crossed the threshold and I saw that his eyes were burning, burning with a malevolent yellow flame.
