  “Grab my sword Pricilla!”

Pricilla pulled the sword from the man and ran over to Princess Wildheart.  Princess Wildheart took her sword in one hand and then grabbed Pricilla by the arm, pulling her onto Mystical behind her.

  “That w
as close!  Thank you Wildheart,” said Pricilla as they turned Mystical and charged back into battle.  The Princess didn’t say anything as she continued to ride into the fray.

The Barbarians had lost fifty men, including almost all of their leaders in just a matter of minutes from the onslaught of the first pass of the Caledon horse riding soldiers.  The Calvary then formed a line two deep across the entire field, facing the castle and trapping the Barbarians between them and the castle.  The archers and elite foot soldiers ran up behind the horses forming lines.  The five hundred regular soldiers formed a seemingly endless twenty men across formation along the side of the battlefield.  There would be no escape for the savages this day.

“Look at all those soldiers,” said the King.

“Those Barbarians will be in for a rude awakening from this Caledon army,”  said the Queen.

“I would say so,” said Elise.

“They are done for,” said Tori.

With Princess Wildheart, Prince Morgan, Duke, Pricilla and the Generals mounted on horseback in the center of the line along with banners of Caledon flying and held high it was time to again attack the Barbarians.

Duke turned his horse and faced the army backing up a few steps.

“It’s time to save this Kingdom!  Bring up the archers!”

  “Archers
move forward,” yelled the General as the archers ran past the horses.  The archers then formed two lines in front of the cavalry.

The General waited until his archers were ready then he gave the command.

  “Fire your arrows!”

The entire first row let the arrows fly.  Then they kneeled down and the second row fired.  This continued as a constant rain of arrows fell down upon the enemy forces in front of them.

“Look!  The archers are raining arrows on the Barbarians!  They have no way to escape that!” said Prince William.

“What a beautiful sight. Those Barbarians are done now,” said the King, happily.

It was truly quite a sight as the arrows continued to fall on the enemy dropping many of them where they stood.  The archers were then brought back and a General commanded the elite fighting soldiers to come forward for attack.  They marched foreword in perfect formation.  The Barbarians saw them coming and tried to run toward the castle, they were trapped between the elite troops and the castle they tried to attack.  The ground shook as two hundred elite soldiers with swords, shields and armor marched toward the Barbarians.

  “
Infantry charge!”

They all began running towards the enemy with swords held high.  The Barbarians who had managed to survive the arrow barrage were quickly put down, leaving only those who had managed to enter the castle courtyard left to fight the Caledon and Rose Kingdom armies.

From atop the castle the King and the others watched as the tide quickly turned in their favor.  The King’s elite Paladin Guard was fighting off any Barbarians who approached the castle doors, sparing no one.

The five hundred regular soldiers of Caledon moved across the field and formed and escape proof line that no Barbarians would be able to pass.  The Calvary then once again charged toward the castle with Princess Wildheart and Prince Morgan in the lead.

Elise spotted Princess Wildheart leading the charge to the castle.

  “Here comes Princess Wildheart!”

“Pricilla is riding on her horse with her!”  shouted Tori.

She and the others watched as the wild hearted Princess and others rode through the castle gates and slashed the enemy with their swords.  With the King’s Paladin Guards on one end and the charging Calvary of Caledon on the other the Barbarians were trapped between them and quickly met their deaths.

Everyone atop the castle watched with pride as Princess Wildheart rode up in front of the castle and lifted her Princess sword high over her head.

“Victory is ours!  Long live Rose Kingdom!”  Shouted the Princess, waving her gleaming Princess sword high in the air.  Tears of pride and relief ran down her cheeks as the beautiful Princess sat atop Mystical soaking in victory with Pricilla holding on behind her.

Everyone in the courtyard started cheering and chanting as her friends and family atop the castle went down to meet the Princess at the castle doors.

  “Long live Princess Wildheart!”

The Princess and Pricilla jumped off her horse and Princess Wildheart ran up the steps to the front of the castle doors where Prince Morgan was standing after fighting his way there.  She put her arms around him and gave him a big kiss then turned toward the courtyard.  They both held hands and raised them up in the air as the forces below cheered them both.  Many good people had been saved because of their unselfish bravery.  The castle had not fallen and no friends or family had been harmed.  This day a legend had been born and witnessed by many that saw it for themselves.

Peyton and Lauren were brought to the castle by some riders to be reunited with their new family again.  They both jumped off the horses and ran straight up to Princess Wildheart, their sister, giving her hugs and kisses as she smiled and told them how happy she was to see them again.  The King and the others had also made their way down to the front of the castle and everyone hugged one another in celebration of victory.

“Magnificent!   Let us all celebrate tonight with a grand feast inside the castle,” shouted the King.

Duke invited the three Generals to join them as everyone went inside the castle.  The King ordered his servants to prepare a huge feast to celebrate the good fortune.  Prince Morgan and Princess Wildheart sat next to each other during the feast.  The entire table toasted their bravery along with that of Duke and Pricilla.  The joyful celebration went on for hours.

  “What now?” asked Prince Morgan.

“What now is we get married,” said Princess Wildheart.

“I thought you might say that Princess,” said Prince Morgan as he pulled her close and kissed her.

Everyone clapped and cheered the couple as they stood and kissed there in the castle.

“I can’t believe I am friends with her.  She is just incredible,” said Tori.

“I think I may just start crying,” said the Queen, watching her daughter.

“They are such a beautiful couple,” she said as the tears began to come.

The King looked at his beautiful wife and gave her a kiss.

“She is wild, brave and beautiful just like her mother.  I am the most fortunate man in the world to have such beautiful women to love,” he said.

The castle would be repaired and Duke ordered some troops to be left behind to help in the rebuilding.  Rose Kingdom should now be safe for a while and a Royal wedding for Princess Wildheart and Prince Morgan could be planned.  Prince Tangent had started making plans of his own with Elise, whom he worshipped.  Duke and Pricilla were excited to have found each other and would marry each other.

Unknown to the happy group inside the castle Prince Darksoul had managed to find his way back to the Kingdom.  He stood gazing from the trees at the castle across the smoldering battlefield in front of him.

“I’m not done yet!  No one treats me this way!  They need to be taught a lesson!”

Prince Darksoul would no doubt continue his quest to bring misery to the Rose Kingdom by any means he could.  For today though, the Rose Kingdom would stand as a beacon of hope in all its glory and celebrate a hard won battle for victory.
