Mark 6:30-56

30
And the apostles gathered themselves together unto Jesus, and told him all things, both what they had done, and what they had taught.
31
 And he said unto them,
Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while:
for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
32
And they departed into a desert place by ship privately.
33
And the people saw them departing, and many knew him, and ran afoot thither out of all cities, and outwent them, and came together unto him.
34
And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

35
And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time
is
far passed:
36
send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat.

37
He answered and said unto them,
Give ye them to eat.

And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?

38
 He saith unto them,
How many loaves have ye? go and see.

And when they knew, they say, Five, and two fishes.

39
And he commanded them to make all sit down by companies upon the green grass.
40
And they sat down in ranks, by hundreds, and by fifties.
41
And when he had taken the five loaves and the two fishes, he looked up to heaven, and blessed, and brake the loaves, and gave
them
to his disciples to set before them; and the two fishes divided he among them all.
42
And they did all eat, and were filled.
43
And they took up twelve baskets full of the fragments, and of the fishes.
44
And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

45
And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
46
And when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.

47
And when even was come, the ship was in the midst of the sea, and he alone on the land.
48
And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them.
49
But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
50
for they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them,
Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
51
And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
52
 For they considered not
the miracle
of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.

53
And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret, and drew to the shore.
54
And when they were come out of the ship, straightway they knew him,
55
and ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.
56
And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

Psalm 40:1-10

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1
I waited patiently for the L
ORD
; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

2
He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock,
and
established my goings.

3
And he hath put a new song in my mouth,
even
praise unto our God: many shall see
it,
and fear, and shall trust in the L
ORD
.

4
 Blessed
is
that man that maketh the L
ORD
his trust, and respecteth not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.

5
 Many, O L
ORD
my God,
are
thy wonderful works
which
thou hast done, and thy thoughts
which are
to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee:
if
I would declare and speak
of them,
they are more than can be numbered.

6
Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.

7
Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book
it is
written of me,

8
I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law
is
within my heart.

9
I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O L
ORD
, thou knowest.

10
I have not hid thy righteousness within my heart; I have declared thy faithfulness and thy salvation: I have not concealed thy lovingkindness and thy truth from the great congregation.

Proverbs 10:11-12

11
 The mouth of a righteous
man is
a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

12
Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Leviticus 15:1–16:28

1
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses and to Aaron, saying,
2
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When any man hath a running issue out of his flesh,
because of
his issue he
is
unclean.
3
And this shall be his uncleanness in his issue: whether his flesh run with his issue, or his flesh be stopped from his issue, it
is
his uncleanness.
4
Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean.
5
And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
6
 And he that sitteth on
any
thing whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
7
And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
8
And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
9
And what saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue shall be unclean.
10
And whosoever toucheth any thing that was under him shall be unclean until the even: and he that beareth
any of
those things shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
11
And whomsoever he toucheth that hath the issue, and hath not rinsed his hands in water, he shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
12
And the vessel of earth, that he toucheth which hath the issue, shall be broken: and every vessel of wood shall be rinsed in water.

13
And when he that hath an issue is cleansed of his issue; then he shall number to himself seven days for his cleansing, and wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in running water, and shall be clean.
14
And on the eighth day he shall take to him two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, and come before the L
ORD
unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and give them unto the priest:
15
and the priest shall offer them, the one
for
a sin offering, and the other
for
a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for him before the L
ORD
for his issue.

16
And if any man's seed of copulation go out from him, then he shall wash all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the even.
17
And every garment, and every skin, whereon is the seed of copulation, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the even.
18
The woman also with whom man shall lie
with
seed of copulation, they shall
both
bathe
themselves
in water, and be unclean until the even.

19
And if a woman have an issue,
and
her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
20
And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
21
And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
22
And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.
23
 And if it
be
on
her
bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.
24
And if any man lie with her at all, and her flowers be upon him, he shall be unclean seven days; and all the bed whereon he lieth shall be unclean.

25
And if a woman have an issue of her blood many days out of the time of her separation, or if it run beyond the time of her separation; all the days of the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of her separation: she
shall be
unclean.
26
Every bed whereon she lieth all the days of her issue shall be unto her as the bed of her separation: and whatsoever she sitteth upon shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her separation.
27
And whosoever toucheth those things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe
himself
in water, and be unclean until the even.

28
But if she be cleansed of her issue, then she shall number to herself seven days, and after that she shall be clean.
29
And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
30
And the priest shall offer the one
for
a sin offering, and the other
for
a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the L
ORD
for the issue of her uncleanness.

31
Thus shall ye separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness; that they die not in their uncleanness, when they defile my tabernacle that
is
among them.
32
 This
is
the law of him that hath an issue, and
of him
whose seed goeth from him, and is defiled therewith;
33
and of her that is sick of her flowers, and of him that hath an issue, of the man, and of the woman, and of him that lieth with her that is unclean.

16:
1
 And the L
ORD
spake unto Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they offered before the L
ORD
, and died;
2
 and the L
ORD
said unto Moses, Speak unto Aaron thy brother, that he come not at all times into the holy
place
within the veil before the mercy seat, which
is
upon the ark; that he die not: for I will appear in the cloud upon the mercy seat.

3
Thus shall Aaron come into the holy
place:
with a young bullock for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.
4
He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches upon his flesh, and shall be girded with a linen girdle, and with the linen mitre shall he be attired: these
are
holy garments; therefore shall he wash his flesh in water, and
so
put them on.
5
And he shall take of the congregation of the children of Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

6
And Aaron shall offer his bullock of the sin offering, which
is
for himself, and make an atonement for himself, and for his house.
7
And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the L
ORD
at
the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8
And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the L
ORD
, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9
And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the L
ORD
's lot fell, and offer him
for
a sin offering.
10
But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the L
ORD
, to make an atonement with him,
and
to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.

11
And Aaron shall bring the bullock of the sin offering, which
is
for himself, and shall make an atonement for himself, and for his house, and shall kill the bullock of the sin offering which
is
for himself:
12
and he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from off the altar before the L
ORD
, and his hands full of sweet incense beaten small, and bring
it
within the veil:
13
and he shall put the incense upon the fire before the L
ORD
, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that
is
upon the testimony, that he die not:
14
and he shall take of the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle
it
with his finger upon the mercy seat eastward; and before the mercy seat shall he sprinkle of the blood with his finger seven times.

15
Then shall he kill the goat of the sin offering, that
is
for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with that blood as he did with the blood of the bullock, and sprinkle it upon the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:
16
and he shall make an atonement for the holy
place,
because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins: and so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation, that remaineth among them in the midst of their uncleanness.
17
And there shall be no man in the tabernacle of the congregation when he goeth in to make an atonement in the holy
place,
until he come out, and have made an atonement for himself, and for his household, and for all the congregation of Israel.
18
And he shall go out unto the altar that
is
before the L
ORD
, and make an atonement for it; and shall take of the blood of the bullock, and of the blood of the goat, and put
it
upon the horns of the altar round about.
19
And he shall sprinkle of the blood upon it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and hallow it from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

20
And when he hath made an end of reconciling the holy
place,
and the tabernacle of the congregation, and the altar, he shall bring the live goat:
21
and Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send
him
away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
22
and the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.

23
And Aaron shall come into the tabernacle of the congregation, and shall put off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the holy
place,
and shall leave them there:
24
and he shall wash his flesh with water in the holy place, and put on his garments, and come forth, and offer his burnt offering, and the burnt offering of the people, and make an atonement for himself, and for the people.
25
And the fat of the sin offering shall he burn upon the altar.
26
And he that let go the goat for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward come into the camp.
27
 And the bullock
for
the sin offering, and the goat
for
the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the holy
place,
shall
one
carry forth without the camp; and they shall burn in the fire their skins, and their flesh, and their dung.
28
And he that burneth them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.
