Joline felt the world spinning out of control and she knew there was nothing she could do to stop it.  All she knew was his kiss, the way his mouth moved against hers and that she didn’t want him to stop.

Rais looked around and almost roared with frustration that she was once again clinging to him, her body begging him to make love to her and they were not in an environment conducive to continuing.

“Joline…”

At that moment, his driver pulled up next to him and he mentally thought to give the man a raise.  But he didn’t have time to do more than think the thought before he was pulling Joline into the back of the vehicle.  Her eyes were clouded and her body still straining towards him.  He loved the way she looked right now and wanted to see that look when he entered her for the first time.

When the limousine was once again pulling away from the curb, heading towards his penthouse, he pulled back, wanting Joline to understand and make the decision to be with him without the cloudiness of desire to muddy her choice.

“Joline, I’m taking you back to my place,” he told her.  He watched carefully, saw her hazel eyes in the dim light of the interior but couldn’t see if the color changed to green again.  “Do you understand what that means?” he asked her.

Joline heard his words.  She pulled back, not sure what to think.  On the one hand, this man was everything she might want in a lover, even though they could never have a long term relationship.  He was royalty and she was…well, the daughter of a woman who basically sold her body to the highest bidder.  She was also the business partner to his sister, a sister that he was extremely protective of but had no idea was in business.

It was a fabulous, tangled web and she didn’t know how to extricate herself, other than to enjoy this one night with him.

No future, she reminded herself.  No promises, no declarations of feelings.  Just one night of beautiful bliss, mutually enjoyed.

Taking a deep breath, wondering if she was making the biggest mistake of her life, she nodded her head.  Ignoring the warning bells clamoring in the background, she accepted his hand.  “We make love tonight,” she finally said out loud.  Shivering at the sound of her voice as well as the commitment she was making with those words, she moved closer to him, allowing him to pull her onto his lap.  She was trembling with the momentous decision but the moment he kissed her again, the ever-present desire flooded away all of her doubts.

When the limousine pulled up into an underground parking garage, he lifted her out and set her feet carefully on the ground.  “This way,” he told her and led her to the elevators.  With a single button, they were swept upwards to the top floor.

When they emerged into a beautiful penthouse, she had only a moment to take it all in before he swept her up into his arms and carried her to his bedroom.  She had a brief impression of dark browns and modern furniture but in that moment, he distracted her by kissing her.  The jacket he’d put over her shoulders fell to the floor as his hands moved to pull her against him once more.

Joline was terrified of what was going to happen, but she’d committed to this and…oh my!  His hand moved under her blouse, his strong, calloused fingers skimming along the skin of her back and she couldn’t hold back the moan as he found several erogenous zones!

“Do that again, please,” she whispered to him.

Rais laughed soft and low as his mouth moved to her neck, nibbling along the way to her ear.  Her head fell backwards as she savored his expertise, her hands clenching at his shoulders.

Rais had a hard time not ripping off her clothes and making love to her immediately.  He felt like he’d been waiting for years to have this woman in his arms like this and the urgency was making him nuts.

But he also loved the sexy sounds she made when he kissed her along her neck and her shoulder.  His deft fingers quickly divested her of her blouse and her skirt before he lifted her up and placed her in the middle of his bed.  Looking down at her, with just her lacy underwear and bra on, well, and those sexy heels, he thought he might explode with the need to bury himself in her heat.  His mind was remembering how hot and wet she’d been earlier today but he had to slow down.  This was her first time and he had to make it good for her.

Leaving his clothes on, because he couldn’t take the additional stimulation of feeling her naked skin against his, he leaned down and quickly took off her bra, feasting his eyes on her perfect breasts.  “Damn, you’re beautiful,” he groaned a moment before he took a peak in his mouth.  He felt her fingers dive into his hair and almost laughed when she tried to pull his head away.  He ignored her tugs and continued teasing the sensitive peak until she screamed and arched her back.  Only then did he move over to the other breast.

He felt her hips surging against his erection and almost lost his control.  But he pulled back by counting backwards from one hundred, even as he moved lower on her body, exploring her softly rounded stomach.

When he moved lower, he heard her breathing increase and smiled.  She knew what he was going to do.

“Rais?” she asked nervously.  But he was already there, kissing the inside of her thighs.

“Enjoy this,” he told her.  When his tongue touched her heat, he felt her jackknife upwards but he wasn’t relenting.  She tasted too good and his mind remembered this morning, the way she’d clenched his fingers so tightly.  He wanted to watch her climax, to taste her release in his mouth.

His own body felt as if it was going to explode, but he pushed the ache to the back of his head, wanting her pleasure more.  As soon as he felt her body start to convulse, he slipped a finger inside of her while his mouth and tongue teased that sensitive nub.

When she splintered apart, he slowly eased up the pressure, trying to prolong her climax.  As her body finally settled down, he stood up and ripped off his clothes.

Watching her, he thought she was the sexiest woman he’d ever seen as she continued to move on his bed, stretching and almost purring in the aftermath of her pleasure.

Grabbing a condom, he rolled it over his length and came back to her, moving right back between her legs.  “Thank you for that,” he said as he kissed her stomach again.  “You were beautiful.”

Joline laughed as her hands moved up to touch his bare shoulders.  “You’re amazing,” she whispered, her fingers dancing along the muscles in his arms and shoulders.  “I like this,” she told him, her fingers floating across his chest.  “Can I…” she started to ask.

But Rais had wanted this woman for too long and he was in pain from wanting her right now.  He grabbed her hands as he lifted them over her head.  “Not a chance,” he told her.  “My turn,” and he pressed his erection against her soft, hot opening.

Joline gasped with the first sensation of pressure.  When he started to fill her up, she liked it so much that she shifted, taking him deeper.

“Ah, love, don’t move,” and he closed his eyes, trying to maintain a small bit of control.  “Yes, just like that,” he encouraged as she pressed her hips closer.  He felt her knees against his waist, her feet on the backs of his thighs and shook his head, trying to slow down.

When he felt her body’s resistance, he looked down at her.  “I’m sorry, Joline,” he said a moment before he pressed through, then stilled.

Joline felt a slight pop but none of the pain she’d been expecting.  “I’m fine,” she breathed, shifting her hips experimentally.  Then laughed.  “I’m truly fine!” and she arched into him.  She’d never thought that this would feel so perfect, so amazing.  He was buried deep inside of her and she’d never felt so full.  “You feel wonderful,” she told him and pulled her arms from his grip, wrapping them around his neck.  “Do what you need to do,” she encouraged.

Rais looked down at her and thought her facial features were a bit too blasé for what he was thinking.  “What I need to do?” he repeated.  He moved in and out of her a bit, feeling the friction, her sheath like a tight glove.

“Oh!” she gasped, not realizing that the movement would feel so…amazing.  “I thought this part was for the man,” she told him, closing her eyes as she lifted her hips to meet his next thrust.

He couldn’t believe what she was saying and would have laughed if she didn’t feel so incredibly good.  “Move with me, Joline.  However feels good, just do it.”

Joline heard his words, but the buzzing in her ears and the desperate need to find that release again was pounding at her, pressuring her to just shift and angle her body so …yes!

Her legs tightened around his hips, trying to get him to keep on moving…just like that!  Again and again he shifted against her body, making her feel completely out of control in her need to get that sensation, to have his body press against her exactly how she needed him to.  Later, she might feel selfish but at the moment, she couldn’t think about anything other than…

Rais watched as her body climaxed once again.  He’d been gritting his teeth, trying to hold back his own orgasm to help her achieve her own, but with that sound, he couldn’t hold back any longer.  Her body was clenching his erection, pulling him in deeper.  A moment after she started screaming, he felt his body lose control.  The waves crashed over him again and again until he collapsed on top of her.

As he rolled over onto his back, pulling her with him, he was astonished.  Never had any sexual encounter been that…amazing.

Chapter 6

Rais held Joline against him, felt her trembling slowly subside while he stared up at the ceiling.  The possessive feelings that were swarming over him as he held this beauty in his arms were almost choking him.

“We’ll be married,” he announced.  The thought hadn’t even completely formed in his mind before the words fell out of his mouth.  But as soon as he said them, he knew that they were right.  This was his woman.  This was the woman he hadn’t even known he was looking for all these years.  And he wasn’t going to lose her.

Joline stirred in his arms, lifting her head and pushing her hair out of her eyes.  Those pretty hazel eyes just stared at him as if he’d announced that he was an ax murderer.  “Married?”

“Yes.  You’re mine.  You gave yourself to me.  We’ll be married.”  He knew he was being arrogant, a trait she claimed to abhor, but he couldn’t help it.  This woman couldn’t get away from him.

Joline pulled further away, grateful when he allowed her the space.  She pulled the sheet along with her, hiding her nakedness from his eyes, and ignoring the amusement on his bold features.

She stood up and grabbed his shirt, slipping her arms into the long sleeves and wrapping the rest around her body.  “We can’t be married,” she told him firmly.  She turned away from the enormous bed, away from the man’s magnificent nakedness.  Goodness, all she wanted to do was climb right back into that bed and explore his body, feel those amazing sensations all over again.  She would love to curl up in his lap and let her hands drift over the muscles on his chest and his stomach.

That was impossible, she told herself firmly.  She had to pull back, to regain perspective.  This man was…she sighed and ran her fingers through her hair, trying to think, to make sense out of tonight.

“We will be married in a month’s time,” he stated as if she hadn’t even spoken.

Joline wasn’t sure if she should laugh or cry.  Marriage to a man like Rais?  No, that wasn’t her destiny.  Tall, dark, handsome?  Wonderful.  Arrogant, irritating and domineering?  Nope!  A man who lived in the limelight?  Definitely not!

“We are
not
going to be married Rais,” she told him firmly.  Turning around, she swung the clutched his shirt around her and looked at him.  Her eyes couldn’t help but travel down his body and she held her breath for a long moment, trying to control the surge of desire that shot through her when she realized that he was once again hard and ready for her.

Rais stood up and walked over to her, taking her into his arms, one hand twisted into her hair as he gently pulled her head back.  “We will be married, Joline.  In one month’s time unless you can give me one good reason why marriage would be wrong.”

Joline could think of two right off the top of her head.  Three actually.  “First of all, I won’t marry a man who doesn’t listen to me.”

Half of his mouth went up into a smile of amusement. “I listen.  I just choose to ignore ridiculous statements that don’t make sense.  Like the denial that we won’t be married when you know it is true.”

Joline shook her head.  “Why aren’t you asking me why we can’t be married?  Don’t you respect my intelligence enough to realize that I know my own mind?”

His eyes traveled over her lovely features, enjoying the way her eyes shifted from hazel to green when she became angry.  “Yes.  I think you are a brilliant woman who has accomplished a great deal in a very short period of time.  Which is something that I like and respect more than you might think.”

Joline felt something inside of her chest relax with those words.  “Thank you.  I love my job.”

“And after we are married, you can stop selling someone else’s products and start buying anything you’d like.”

That was a startling statement.  “What do you mean?” she demanded, trying not to assume she understood.  She’d give him a chance to explain, she thought silently.  Surely he didn’t want her to give up her job, could he?

“You won’t need to work after we’re married.”  He kissed her neck and started pushing the sheet down so that his hands had unhindered access to her breasts.  “In fact, you can quit right now and I’ll take care of you.”

Joline shuddered when his hands cupped her breasts.  She tried to push his hands away.  She really did.  But when her hands found his wrists and wrapped around the muscular arms, she wasn’t sure that she was pulling away from him so much as directing his hands.  “I won’t quit,” she told him.  “I’m one of the owners.”

“I’ll hire someone to take over for you.  You can oversee them.”  And with those words, he lifted her into his arms, high enough so that her breasts were at the same level as his mouth.  He captured one nipple with his mouth and teeth, completely distracting Joline from making any argument.

As he laid her back down on the bed, he looked at her with her long, dark hair spread out behind her and her eyes filled with desire, he knew that it would be a good life with this woman.  They would have many children together.

“One month,” he promised a moment before he bent over her again and captured her other breast, even while his hands were making their way down her body, sliding against all of those sensitive spots he’d found the first time he’d made love to her.

When he entered her this time, standing by the bed and looking down into her beautiful green eyes, he pulled her legs onto his arms so that he could slide into her more deeply.  He’d thought about not using protection this time, wanting her to become pregnant so that she wouldn’t be able to argue with him about marrying him any longer.  But he couldn’t do that to her.  He didn’t think it was ethical to force her into marriage.  Not that she would get away from him, he told himself as he reached down and helped her find her fulfillment.  And then he couldn’t think any longer.  Her body convulsing around him and those screams as she arched her back with her climax took him over the edge.  All he could do was hold onto her slender body as waves of pleasure hit him full force.

When it was all over, he lifted her into his arms and settled her against him as he felt her drift off to sleep.  As she slept, her soft breath tickling his chest, he made plans.  There were many details he’d have to take care of in order to get this woman to the altar in thirty days.
