“Remind me why we’re going to a luau again?” he asked as he joined her by the door.

“Because it’s mandatory for all hotel guests. Even penthouse ones.” She smiled. “We could still do something you want after the luau.”

His eyes ran lazily over her, sparking every cell in her body.

This time, there was no hint of laughter in his eyes when he looked back at her. “Ask me again and I’ll definitely take you up on the offer.”

Heat flooded her cheeks as she looked away. He was just flirting. Flirting came natural to men like him and she shouldn’t make it more than it was.

Treading back into safer waters, she asked, “So, how’s the acquisition going?”

“Good, we’re putting an offer in tomorrow.”

She smiled as they stepped into the elevator. “And no hint of who you’re going to make an offer to?”

“I think it’s safe to say you already know.”

An instinctive thrill shot through her. She’d been right! “Too bad I’m on holiday. I could’ve bought a few shares.”

He threw her a funny look. “Somehow, I don’t think you’re the kind of person that would fit in jail.”

“True,” she admitted, sighing. “I’ve spent too much time in school to risk it all.”

His eyebrows rose. “Even if it would triple your money?”

She laughed. “It's not worth it. I’m doing okay now and am living comfortably.” She shrugged. “Why risk it all for a little more?”

Excitement coursed through her when she heard the drumbeats below. They became louder as they neared the lobby. By the time they exited the elevator, her heart was pounding with the loudness.

Hot air brushed against her skin when they stepped outside the hotel. It was as if a flame was right beside her face, warming her.

Excitedly, she took in the whole area. They’d transformed the beach into a small arena. There were posts with fires that more than heated the cold evening air, a stage at the far right, and a forest of trees behind it all.

Before they could move any further, a beautiful woman in a coconut bikini and a green grass skirt approached them with an arm full of those colorful flower necklaces.

“Aloha,” she said as she opened her arms. “Welcome to our luau.” Bending slightly, she put a necklace around her neck and then Landen's.

“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to ask. There’re drinks and refreshments at the bar,” she added pointing to the left with her two hands. “We will begin the show momentarily.”

“Aloha.” The woman’s attention shifted to a family that came in behind them. “Welcome to our luau.”

Rebecca looked at Landen and bit back a smile at the colorful necklace of flowers around his neck. Before she could comment, Landen took her by the arm and tugged her towards to the bar. “You owe me for this,” he said roughly in her ear, his hot breath sending delicious shivers down her spine.

She smiled as she leaned into him. “C’mon. You know you enjoy this just as much as I do.”

“You mean the drink? I’ll definitely be enjoying the drink more than you.”

They walked towards a small thatch-covered hut that had been transformed into a tiki bar.

“What can I get for you two?” The barman asked as he twirled a shaker impressively in his hand.

“A Blue Hawaii,” she said quickly as she leaned onto the counter and he quickly began pouring the various liquids into a shaker.

Though she wasn’t much of an Elvis fan (who was at this day of age?), she’d always thought they sounded exotic and besides, what better place to try a Blue Hawaii than in Hawaii?

As he shook the drink, he nodded towards Landen. “And you, sir?”

“I’ll have a gimlet.”

“Awww… Get in the spirit. We’re in Hawaii. Hawaii,” she emphasized, hoping he got her point. “When’s the next time you’re going to have this chance again?”

The words were out of her mouth before she thought about it and realized her folly. This was Landen she was talking to here. There would be plenty of times for him to go to Hawaii in the future.

She cursed herself at her naivety. He was just so easy to be around that she forgot about their differences sometimes.

Oblivious to her thoughts, he nodded at the man pouring the rum into a glass. “This Gimlet’s being made in Hawaii just as we speak.”

She rolled her eyes and laughed as she got her drink and headed towards the seating area. She picked the farthest row in the back and sat down, watching the rest of the crowd settle in. Though she knew nothing would happen, she wanted a little privacy with Landen. It would be their last night together and she didn’t feel like sharing him with anyone else.

She took a sip of the drink and the blue liquid went down her throat, tasting sweeter than what she’d been expecting, but pretty good.

“I was hoping you’d copy me, so I could see you drink a girly drink,” she admitted when Landen joined her.

“I doubt that you’d find me as alluring if I did.” Watching her with steely eyes, he took a swig of his drink.

Rebecca’s eyes followed the movement and her throat dried as she watched his adam’s apple bob up and down. He had a very nice throat. Long and tanned from them being out all day. She could just imagine nibbling it and wondered how he tasted.

“You’re very sure of yourself,” she said as she looked back at him with as much disinterest as she could muster.

His eyes watched her lips. “You want to see for yourself?” His voice sounded huskier.

Her cheeks flushed as he leaned closer, so close that she could feel his hot breath teasing her, intoxicating her with its heady smell.

She opened her mouth to respond, but he murmured, “Too late,” and captured her lips in a kiss.

He tasted strong and masculine. Needing more, she kissed him back with an urgency that surprised her.

As his lips moved over hers, her whole body felt as if it was on fire. It seemed impossible that she could feel so much from a kiss.

She moaned and he deepened the kiss, taking everything that she had.

She suppressed a groan when he broke off the kiss.
Just a little more.

She opened her eyes and felt a bit dizzy when she saw him watching her with those intense gray eyes of his and even though it was warm outside, she shivered. Already missing those lips of his, she wondered if it would be considered too brazen if she pulled him back for another kiss.

A conch shell sounded, signaling the beginning of the show, but neither of them looked towards the stage. Suddenly, the luau wasn’t that interesting any more.

Though she would only be in Hawaii once, she would always regret it if she didn't take this chance with Landen.

He offered his hand as he stood up.

Instinctively, she took it. His eyes flashed dangerously with a sense of victory as his hand tightened around hers. She shivered in anticipation as he led her back towards the hotel, his hand securely at the small of her back.

Butterflies flew crazily in her stomach. All she could think about was Landen kissing her again.

His clean, woodsy smell intoxicated her once they were in the elevator. Before the doors fully closed, he pulled her into his arms and kissed her with what seemed to be the intention of blowing her mind.

Heady with pleasure, she wrapped her arms around him as she returned the kiss. The flower necklaces crushed between their bodies. She knew that she would have to stop for air eventually, but she didn’t want to just yet.

The elevator opened and he backed her out of the door, never breaking the kiss. He only broke off the kiss to open the door and once inside, he barricaded her into the door with his arms, looking at her with pure blatant desire in his eyes.

She shivered. Every single cell in her body lit up under his gaze.

He took off his flower necklace and then hers before he cupped her face softly and kissed her again. It was tender at first, but soon became heated as he deepened the kiss.

He trailed soft hot kisses down her sensitive neck as his hands roamed her sides, sending shivers coursing through her.

She explored his hard stomach with her hands, feeling the hard muscle underneath before she took his shirt off.

She licked her lips when she saw his glorious chest. Oh dear. Perfectly toned and hard, he was what every man should be.

And he was all hers, she thought greedily as she took in that trail of dark curls leading to his manhood and felt the sudden urge to lick and kiss him everywhere.

Instinctively, her hands traveled down the hard planes of his body, enjoying the feel of him, before she grabbed his lips in a hot kiss.

She felt his hands on back of her dress and her dress promptly fell to the floor.

Wrapping his arm around her, he lifted her body towards him and attacked her breasts, licking and nipping at them. Dizzying sensations coursed through her as he laved and teased them.

Her body felt as if it was pure molten fire. The pleasure emanating from his licks and touches was almost too much to bear. She couldn't do anything but hold on to him as he continued his merciless torture.

Wrapping her legs around him, he picked her up and headed towards the bedroom, never leaving her breasts as he did.

Settling her down onto the soft bed, he grabbed her lips in a hard long kiss before making a trail of kisses down her stomach. Her breath hitched as he got closer to her pussy.

He laid a kiss on her panties and straightened.

She gasped at his wickedness and looked up to see him looking at her, his eyes gleaming as his lips curved into a dangerous grin.

A delicious shiver rushed through her when his rough hands trailed up her legs.

She gasped when he ran a hand over her panties. Grinning, he edged back and removed it.

He teased her soft folds before inserting a finger. She moaned when he began fucking her with his finger.

“Condom?” she asked, her throat parched dry.

His hand stopped. “You’re not on the pill.” It was more of a statement than a question and she felt herself wanting to die of embarrassment.

She shook her head wordlessly as she looked into those unwavering eyes. He was probably used to more experienced women who took pills for these things, but there had never been any reason to.

He hesitated and she knew that even without one, she would be willing. If he would just pull out...

For a moment, she was tempted to offer, but stopped herself. It was already out there. Besides, he would sleep with her with a condom, right?

But he didn’t move.

Please don’t let this be a deal breaker.
It took all her control not to rock against his hand.

She was beginning to regret her reminder. Her whole body was quivering with desire and she needed him desperately.

After what seemed to be forever, he gave her a terse nod and stood up.

Worried that she’d just killed off the mood, she straightened and saw him opening a cabinet.

Relief coursed through her when he came back to bed. “I thought you’d changed your mind,” she admitted softly as she welcomed him with open arms.

“I would never leave a woman wanting.”

Instead of being comforted, the thought of all the women who had come before her and the ones who’d come after crushed her. Not wanting to think about that now, she pushed away the thoughts and brought him down for another kiss.

A sharp pierce of pain shuddered through her when he entered her. He hesitated a moment before he began moving slowly and easily.

His groan sent delicious shivers coursing through her body. As the pain slowly eased to pleasure, he increased his pace and her hips instinctively rose up to meet his strokes. She moaned when he dipped his head to suckle her nipple.

Pleasure coiled deep in her stomach and when her she felt as if she could take no more of this wonderful pleasure, a shard of lightning flashed through her and she screamed his name.

Groaning, he continued moving.

Waves and waves of delicious sensations coursed through her already sensitive body and she found herself edging closer and closer to another orgasm.

The grip on her hips tightened and they came together.

Little aftershocks coursed through her as he settled beside her. She couldn’t stop grinning. She felt amazing.

Wondering if he felt the same, she turned around and she saw him looking at the ceiling. Figuring that he wasn’t one to talk after sex, she turned back and laid down.

After a couple of minutes, he broke the silence. “I can’t believe he didn’t touch you.”

Surprised at his voice, she opened her eyes. He was looking at her and the realization of what he meant hit her. Her stomach churned in disgust. He had thought she was his grandfather’s mistress?

Sickened and aghast, she leapt out of the bed as quickly as she could and began searching for her clothes.

“How could you?” she cried.

He stood up and followed her. “Look, I’m sorry-”

She whirled around to face him. “You’re sick. How could you even think that?”
