KAY BRATT
was born in the Midwest and lived in many different states of the USA before settling down in the South. Always ready for adventure, she and her family later accepted an overseas assignment that landed them in China for almost five years. It was there that her life was changed forever when she discovered a passion for the Chinese people, their land, and culture. In 2009 Kay released a poignant memoir detailing her work with the children of a local orphanage. Now she uses her love of writing to continue to give the rest of the world a glimpse into the mysterious culture of China, and to raise awareness of issues that affect its women and children.
