Chapter
13

After the meal we went to the hall next to living room. It was exclusively designated to music hall. My father snapped his fingers
and a melody invaded the hall, without the presence of musical instruments and musicians.  And yet the melody was perfect. The sound of a violin Sounded clearly in our ears. This song was extremely smooth and pleasant to the ear. Vincent let himself be carried away by the melody. He spun around the hall and held my hand and made me dance with him. We separated from the ground and our bodies levitated, However, I felt myself becoming dizzy, but it was very funny.  Our heads almost came in contact with the ceiling of the castle. Valeska and Bizak did the same and had joined us to dance. Eros remained standing at the wall corner, with no climate of festivity. He showed a grim face all the time. Nothing could help him relax.

Various melodies paraded in our eardrums, until the time had come for each of us to go to bed.

They had fallen asleep in their sentinel.

Except me who had remained in the hall for a few moments.

A long silence had prevailed at that dark place.

I walked towards the balcony of the castle and I could see nothing except darkness and
a rabid night breeze. I closed my eyes for a moment and felt it more intensively on my face.  Rapidly I opened my eyes when I felt an icy breath close to my ear and I assimilated his unmistakable presence.

Eros was at my back.

In the first moments I had no reaction and looking straight at the darkness.

"Are You Awake?" a male voice asked.

I recognized that voice.   And I turned to him as a way of defense.

“I
thought..." I tried to say, looking at his face.

“It
was Eros." he added, interrupting my words.

Bizak stared at my face and perceived my disappointment for it not being who
I waited for.

In fact, I went to the balcony in the hope that Eros would appear to me and
I could tell to him about my anguish.  And we really could be alone, only he and me.

I lowered my head regretting the absence of Eros, and checking that nothing had been true when I felt the presence of Eros there, breathing almost in my ear.
He was the only thing I desired at that moment.

"
Everyone is sleeping... even... Eros."

Bizak said and continued to look at me.

"I think we must do the same."

I suggested, trying to get away from him. However, was prevented from moving forward,
when I felt his ice hand holding my left arm.

"If Eros was here you would not have as much
hurry to sleep."

He said looking into my eyes
and loosed my arm when I recoiled from him in fright.

"I do not understand why you trust Eros and distrust me."

"I have known Eros for a long time." I told him.

"Eros knows perfectly well how to dazzle people."
his voice sounded ironically.

"
What have you against him?" I asked as I was keeping an eye on his response.

"
Me?" he laid his hands on his head and had taken two steps forward towards the small wall.  "I have nothing against him. I only see Eros is the highlight in all that he does. Everyone perceives him!"

He
said and raised his arms to the sky.

I came close to the small wall and standing next to Bizak.
The conversation became more attractive, After all, he was referring to Eros, and I wanted to know more about him. We remained for a long time looking into the darkness, as we were quiet. Both of us were through our distinct thoughts. Until I could feel his right hands on my head and slipped it through my dark hair with the greatest of care.

“He
will make you suffer..."

He
warned, looking at my face without reacting to what he had said.

His
affirmative challenged my expectations with regard to what Valeska had become very clear to me hours before. I was unreliable again regarding the feelings of Eros.

Then Bizak turned into a Serpent and dragged on the ground of the balcony, its rapid movements made it disappear immediately.

I stayed here for a long time, in the hope that Eros could wake up and could come to me.

Chapter 14

I just spent my last hours of sleep in the open, my doubts and concerns
banished my sleep. I was lying with my belly up and looking at the dark roof of my room. Where I placed several images of Eros and several scenes fantasized by me, Eros corresponded to everything that I felt for him. How easy it would be for me to love that way.

The next morning I got up as the window curtains became light.

I changed my dress and put another, all in wine
, however a long dress.

I had walked through the castle.
Everyone was sleeping.  I decided to go for a walk round the vicinity of the castle.  The cloudy sky punished my vision. I walked to the edge of the lake, which was one of my favorite places, since everything there was so adventitious. I was looking into the water; I could not see my own reflection on it. Then I recalled that I was no longer a human. I was condemned to live without seeing my own image for all eternity. I no longer existed...

I had moved away from the lake as I was worried and walked towards a forest of leafless trees.
Probably they had been destroyed by the snow.  The landscape was built with dark colors. I stood up on a rock and looking up at the cloudy sky which was covering me. Seconds after My vision had detected a black shadow descending from the heights; it was so fast I had no time to follow its movements. The same thing was standing next to me. It had fallen standing on the rock. We looked at each other as we were accompanied by a light silence.

"
You woke up early!" he said, breaking the silence between us.

“I
couldn't sleep." I said retracted, as if he apparently knows why I could not keep my eyes closed.

"
What expelled your sleep?" he asked as he was looking at the trees without life.

His
question seemed to sound unimportant to him; it was a way of going on with our conversation.

"I... In fact... I went to sleep...and I was thinking about how..."

I looked at him as I spoke and he glared at me, waiting for me to finish the sentence.

Then I was dumb instead of really trying to expose my words.
The courage had departed from mu mind.

"I would talk to... you."

I remained with my head bowed; the words had run away from my mouth.

"
What is it so important that you want to talk to me?" looked at my face and said again: "to the point of making you restlessness."

At
that moment he was shown to be Compassionate.

"
The love I felt for you..."

I felt that I was being invaded by a strange sensation as I had said those words. This was a kind of relief mixed with despair.

"Oh, so that's what you wanted to tell me?”

He
asked looking at one side only and his indifference had compressed all my expectations.

He
looked at my face and said: “I already knew it.” he had acted with more coolness.

"Did you know, all this time?" I asked, staring at him as he was looking at the other direction.

"I always knew... since we were on Earth." voice was weak and husky as he was keeping his head down.

"
And why have you never said anything to me?" I asked, still staring at him.

"I thought this is not necessary, you knowing I was aware of everything." he
still had no courage to look into my eyes.

"
You would probably have simplified the things... and I wouldn't have missed so many nights of sleep, trying a solution to tell this to you." I poured my heart out to him.

"It could have been worse." he confessed, looking at his feet.

I frowned as I was very confusing.

He went on to
say: You would not only have missed so many nights of sleep as well as you would have lost your joy for life."

His
voice sounded loud and aggressive.

"What are you trying to tell me?"

I asked him, trying to look into his eyes, but negativity had overcome me.

"I cannot correspond to what you feel for
Me." his voice sounded with affliction.

I felt it had harmed him for saying me those things. It seemed as if he didn't want to see me suffer. That's why he didn't leave the impression he already knew about everything, being
neutral it would be much easier for him than trying to convince me to give up this platonic love.

"
Why?"

I insisted, t
hings were still not clear enough to me. What was his objection?

"Only Humans attract me." he finally confessed.

"I was human...   I murmured some words of repentance.

"Now you
you’re no longer human! You must forget me!

He
ordered impatient as he stared at my sad face.

All that I saw at that moment this was he gave a great jump into the air and his male body originated into an owl which had flown quickly over the trees and disappeared into the air.

I knelt down and folded my arms round me, contorting my body as I was clinging to my despair and my pain. All I most feared came to pass.

I was not inside him like he was inside me.

Chapter
15

I arrived into the bedroom of my father without his consent. I was standing in the middle of the room and looked at him, furiously.  Surprised by my presence, he soon rose from his seat.

After all, He knew I was not well.

He looked at me and
saw my affront position.

"What happened?" he asked and placed one hand over his chin.

"You told me I can have everything I wish." I began to mock him.

He turned his face toward the wall, avoiding looking at me while I was talking to him.

"Everything I wanted it would be in my hands!" I insisted and my voice became loud.

He
removed his hand from his chin and asked me: "Do you doubt it?"

I looked at his face and asked again:" and why can't
I have the love of Eros?"

"Are you angry Because of this?" I asked and smiled modestly.

"You have never given yourself the luxury of feeling this! I looked into his eyes and screamed:"You are a monster!"

"Valkyrie, love is compassion of mortals..." he walked side to side and continued
.”We don't need this."

Then
he sat down again on his chair as he was so irritated with me.

"You should not have done this to me! Having sent Eros after me..."

I bent my head down, trying to hold my tears.

"You ended up with my life...  I am now a monster!" my eyes sought
the ground.

"I had no choice, you are my daughter." his words came from the bottom of his heart.

“I am condemned to this hell!"

I shouted
and shook my head as I walked to the door, trying to leave the room as quickly as possible. However, my father prevented me from going out there; the door had been closed quickly, only using the power of his mind. Then I stopped and turned to him and saw him still sitting, waiting for my calm attitude. So again I held my tears, I did not want to cry in front of him.

"This is
how you reciprocate your father?"

He
arose out of his seat, walked to his window open looked out the window and saw a cloudy sky.

"I gave You Immortality!"

"And you took away my happiness!"

I yelled.

This made me vent my anger on him.

"Do you believe your happiness is into a trivial love for a vampire?" he stared into my eyes as well as his question was so inhuman as far as his predator instinct.

"I also missed my mother."

"
It is not she who you are thinking about!"

He
affirmed, looking at my bitter eyes.

"
You are very young, you will have many passions."

He
turned his back to me and snapped his fingers, making the door open In front of me.

"Go away for now."

He ordered and said with his back to me.

"One day you will thank me all that I have done for you."

I was going through the door and said nothing.  My silence was the right thing to do at that moment.

Chapter
16

Staying in that
Castle for those times it was irrelevant to me. I wished to disappear completely, disappear for ever from that place and never being able to see anyone. Not even Eros. My life had lost all meaning from this moment in which Eros had said me those things, telling me to forget him. As if it was possible. The only way I found up to destroy that love inside me it was destroying myself and no longer exist for them.

I walked to the
lake; I put all my agony there, looking at it. My life looked like That dark and stagnant water.

A strong wind touched my   pale face, my Long, loose hair followed the footsteps of the wind, disorderly.
How I was anesthetized, I didn't pay attention to everything that was happening around me.

The
first tears of blood flowed down my face and I did not feel them.

I took several steps forward and touched my feet into the water of the lake,
and then I went ahead, moving slowly through the dark water. My body was consumed by the dark water of the lake in no hurry. The water level rose to waist-deep and I continued walking and the water covered my face... then I disappeared.

A few hours passed like this and I had no reaction in the depth of the lake, I wanted the water could make me close my eyes forever.

An enormous snake, more or less to seven meters long, it crawled around the lake and went into the water to the bottom, moving quickly.
Its tail found my loose body, floating from one side to another.  The serpent wrapped its enormous tail around my body and took me back to the edge of the lake, where I was dragged by it to the surface.  The serpent stopped being a crawling animal and took the form of a vampire.

Bizak picked up me in his
arms; I was upside down and Unconscious. ... My arms shook according to his footsteps, Bizak could move quickly. Like a vampire, but he preferred to walk without great haste and holding me in his arms for a longer time and appreciating my splendid face.  Our clothes were water soaked and they glued to our bodies. My large volume ivory dress stained with the dark water of the lake. And this way the fabric had become old and dark.

Bizak took
me back with them to the castle. The dead trees slowly swayed from side to side and among them was an owl that watched everything, that is, all our moves.

When
it saw Bizak was going back to the castle and carrying my body then the owl flew in another direction and went to meet the cloudy sky and disappeared into a gray smoke which appeared into the air.
