Tag sat there for a minute, very still, his eyes glued to that truck.

Oh, he knew.

His gaze cut to her. He opened his mouth, then shut it with a grim slash of his lips. He hated her now, she just knew it. “Thank you so much for dinner,” she whispered. Even though they’d never talked about how her taxi security worked.

Rusty saw a muscle in Tag’s strong jaw working. Okay, she better run. She made a move, but surprise, he caught her arm. Gently.

“Rusty, I’ve been tangled before. You need anything, you call me. I get it.” He pulled her, and his lips touched her temple. “Anything, honey. You promise?”

Her hand landed on his chest for a second as she nodded. “Thanks, I haven’t had anyone but Tess have my back for a long time.”

Then she did run, because Tag might act kind of badass outwardly but inwardly he was a sweet guy she could so fall for.

But of course she’d already fallen.

Cabe did not miss who dropped Rusty off. It slammed into him like a fucking punch. When she’d text him saying she had “a date” he’d thought it was business or a girlfriend dinner,
anything
but this. The fact it was the same kind of shit his wife did to him was not good for him.

But he was lucky in the fact he had a chance to get out of there. Rusty came in the front and he went out the back. Damn, he’d thought he had something special and rare starting with her. Rare in a time when he desperately needed it. He watched the house as he got in his truck ... she could have come out, but she didn’t.

That said it all for him.

He started his truck, pulled out and headed for Rowdie’s. It looked like he was finally fucking freewheeling it, and it felt worse than the shit with Vega.

When he arrived at Rowdie’s it looked dead, so he figured he’d have no trouble getting a room. He could have bothered Vincent for one of his rentals, but it felt better to lick his wounds in a dive. There was a lot inside him fighting to go back to Rusty. But that sounded like what he’d been doing with Vega, giving her every excuse in the book.

When he walked into Rowdie’s front office he saw Finn kicked back on one of the couches in the little sitting area. Finn had more than a six-pack in front of him and his motorcycle boots propped on a wobbly coffee table in front of him.

“Hey, bro,” Finn called. “What the fuck brings you slumming. I swear there are no young ones needing your help in here tonight.”

Nothing was going to make Cabe smile, but he raised a hand to Finn. They’d known each other a few years. Finn was mysterious, but Cabe knew he was one of the good guy’s playing a bad guy, and after hearing Rusty’s story about him he was even more convinced.

“Looking for a room,” he told Finn, walking over to him.

Finn looked surprised. “You got my kind of problems, I see.” Cabe had heard that Finn’s wife was playing heavy games no one from the outside could figure out.

“If that’s cheating, I’ve got a load,” Cabe muttered, rubbing the ache in his chest.

“Grab a beer, bro. We’ll commiserate. I’m currently drinking to the one that got away.”

“Who’s that?” Cabe asked, grabbing a beer and sitting.

“She’s too sweet to name,” Finn said with a sad look. “But she’s better off.”

After a slug of beer, Cabe said, “I touched a sweet one, but flames burnt my fingers too quick.”

Finn leaned forward, putting his elbows on his knees, cutting Cabe a look. “Besides our poetry here, what are we saying?” he asked. “Right out, my old lady is frigid and trying to prove to me she isn’t by dicking other men here at my motel.”

Cabe leaned forward. “Damn.”

“Yeah,” Finn sighed. “And to top that off I’m caught in something right at the moment that will not allow me the time to divorce her ass. Into all that comes the sweetest thing. But she, rightly so, had feelings for another man that I respect. So it’s hard to feel pissed at him.”

After the honesty Finn gave him, Cabe told him about Vega, and then about Rusty.

“That violet-eyed taxi driver is a beauty,” Finn agreed. “But man, if she’s sweet like you say she is, you should have talked to her.”

Cabe, on his second beer, rubbed the back of his neck. “Felt just like Vega, and I’m not doing that shit anymore.”

“And Rusty got you to that point, Cabe. You’d still be hanging off Vega’s fingertips if Rusty hadn’t woken you up.”

Cabe nearly choked on his pull of beer. As he coughed, he looked at Finn nodding to him. Hell, Finn was right. Rusty had freed him. Cabe set the beer bottle on the wobbly coffee table and reached to pull out his cell phone.

Finn stood. “I’m going to bed, bro. I’ll put a key on the counter, if you still need it after talking to your lady. Lock the office door on the way out.”

“Finn,” Cabe called to Finn’s retreating back. “Some of that advice is good for you too. Find a way to divorce her. It’s not worth it.”

Finn raised a hand that indicated he’d heard before he disappeared behind the front counter and Cabe sat back to call Rusty.

“Hey,” he said at the sound of her voice.

“Cabe?” her soft voice questioned.

“Okay, I walked out again, but just tell me.”

“Captain, I know it’s hard to trust after what you’ve been through and I don’t know how to help you do that with me,” she said, in the most understanding and compassionate voice he’d ever heard even though it was on the phone. He felt her deep. And the fact she called him “Captain” like he was in control of them.

“Boo, I trust you,” he said, and he meant it. “I
don’t
trust her, but I do trust you. I need to not confuse them.”

He heard her soft sigh. “It was extreme circumstances and if you come home so my panties have a lap to cuddle on, I’ll explain it all to you.”

SIX ] FUCKING GRABS ME DEEP

C
abe pulled up to Rusty’s house, reliving the moment she called it home, like it could be their home ... together. Maybe he was too messed up to be doing this with her. Maybe he was fucked because he’d not been able to let go of his marriage vows even when he knew his wife had cheated on him, or maybe it was way too soon to be involved with anyone. But none of the sound advice he’d give any sane person in his same circumstances kept him from Rusty’s door. And when he stepped inside, he quickly braced, because Rusty squealed in excitement and ran to him.

He caught her in mid-jump and her legs went around his waist. They should have talked it out. They should have figured it out, but her mouth was hot and deep on his, giving him that kiss she’d said she wasn’t giving him, and it came to him that was all that fucking mattered. He grabbed her ass and carried her to the bedroom.

“Aw fuck, boo,” Cabe growled, as his back arched. “Deeper,” he groaned. And fuck him, Rusty between his outstretched thighs went deeper, with her mouth down over his cock as his fingers curled in her thick hair. Her mouth came back up the shaft with a blaze of fire in her violet eyes.

Not able to stand it a second longer, he grabbed her under her armpits, pulled and tossed her onto her back on the bed as he rolled on top of her.

“Legs up,” he ordered, and she lifted them, spreading them wide as he hooked her neck and thrust deep.

Her eyes rolled back and her lips parted on a gasp he could see through the “oh-so-fucking-good” squint his eyes were in. He grabbed her mouth with his, tasted his musk on her and he pistoned inside her. Two seconds later she screamed in his mouth and he felt it to the root of his cock, sending him thrusting faster.

Rusty fisted her hands in Cabe’s dirty blond strands as their bodies bounced in a wild rhythm and Cabe told her how much he liked her pussy. “Sweetest fucking pussy,” he growled. “Hottest wettest pussy. Fucking grabs me deep.”

She squealed repeated short bursts, then Cabe took her gaze and held it like a prisoner as he groaned through ejaculating hard. One second later a climax topped over her and she grabbed him, crying out into his neck through the shudders of it.

She didn’t know how she ended up across his chest some time later. His hot skin was slick with sweat against her cheek as her inner thighs kept emitting little tremors. Each quake with a tiny, lingering tweak of pleasure. She was in pleasure overload. Oh my God, sex with Cabe was freaking
a
mazing.

His hand was in her hair and stroking through to her nape as his heartbeat thudded against her ear on his chest. He’d pulled the sheet partially up over them.

“My panties thank you—all of womankind’s panties thank you,” she muttered.

She heard a chuckle in his chest. “All womankind, huh?”

She nodded. “All.” Then she added, “For the incredibleness you’ve given to a sister woman, they’d all thank you.”

Another chuckle as her hand slicked over the ridges of his tight abdomen, but then she was suddenly transported and on top of him. Her mouth nearly on his as she braced her hands on either side of his head.

“All mankind thanks you for your delicious mouth, then,” he said with a wicked gleam of remembrance in his eyes that brought her fully back into having him deep in her mouth.

“All mankind, huh?”

His hands cupped her ass, squeezing. “
This
man,” he said slowly, and very nerve-tingling deep.

He pulled until her legs straddled his hips and her center was sliding over his semi-hard cock. Then he stroked up her back while she tried to un-squeeze her eyes from the pleasure squeeze they were in.

“Cabe,” she whispered, breathing in every inch of him.

She felt his muscular chest slicking up her breasts and hard nipples as he raised his mouth to her ear. “Tell me, boo,” he whispered back.

Then she told him all about Tag in whispers back and why she’d been out on a date with him. She was honest—she’d never been able to help that.

“My own fucking fault,” Cabe muttered when she’d finished telling him Tag was into her, but she’d made it clear she was not going there. “A man can’t claim sweet, then other men are going to see that hot sweetness and try to get it.”

Rusty kissed the side of Cabe’s mouth for thinking she was that, because she’d never thought of herself like that before. Then she kissed him for trusting her. But she didn’t tell him that, because that might fill her up so full inside she might burst or have to acknowledge they were really getting together.

His hand fisted in her hair. “I’m moving into Rowdie’s.” He looked over her features, judging them. “This’ll be rough. She clings. No fucking reason why, but she does. Me prying her loose and getting her to stay there isn’t going to be pretty, boo.”

Rusty squeezed her eyes, and this time it wasn’t pleasure as she slid over the length of his hardening cock. “You can do it,” she whispered. “You come to me, Captain. Anytime you need. I’m yours.”

“Fuck,” he growled, then she found out how much he liked that and what he was going to do with it, because he got fully hard and ordered deeply, “Get up on your hands and knees.”

Rusty woke up feeling deliciously sore in ways she’d never felt before from being fucked six different ways with four orgasms and a dozen mini ones. She’d never known about the mini ones before. Just as she’d never known about the multiple position changes during one hot fucking.

“Wow,” she breathed into the hair in her face. Then she stretched her sore body that felt
so
good. Her outstretched hand hit something that crinkled. Cabe had left her before dawn after a shower and then leaning over the bed to give her tongue for over five minutes, so she knew he was gone.

With her other hand, she flipped back the mass of hair in her face and she nabbed the paper, bringing it to her squinting gaze. It looked like—

“Instructions,” she muttered. Then she studied the nice, masculine block handwriting, deciding she really liked it, before she got up on her elbow and looked closer.

“It’s instructions for my taxi’s security,” she whispered.

She felt the tugging of her heart for Cabe doing something that sweet, because it had to take him some time to write it all out. Any other guy would have woken her ass up and hauled her out to the taxi to explain before they had to go.

“Aw,” she whispered again reading the last bit. “Want you safe, baby. Call if you need any more explanation.” Then she looked closely at where he’d written, “Captain.” It was masculine and the meaning was very hot.

Who knew she’d like a man controlling her so thoroughly during sex?

“Just wow,” she breathed.

But it was a fact that she’d never had a man as attractive and hot as Cabe before. The guys she’d dated and one she’d lived with that eventually cheated on her had been okay-looking in just regular and nice ways, but not like Cabe’s every-female-would-turn-to-look way. It was scary being with a guy she thought was that attractive, and she knew his hotness took over her brain at times.

The fact he was bossy in bed made it easier for her to be with him. It made her know he dug it, because he was the boss but kept coming back for more. She wanted to give him that as much as she wanted it from him. Maybe the wild willingness he’d dug out of her was just waiting for the right man.

She hadn’t had a clue when she’d chanced that first kiss that this is what would happen. Of course she’d thought she was probably going to get sex in the back of her taxi, which was the wildest thing she’d ever done sexually.

Rusty knew she thought it would be some groping; maybe she’d get lucky enough to get some finger climax before he’d relived his marriage gone horribly wrong on her. But then he’d wanted to put his amazing mouth between her legs and she’d freaked. Never ever good at that, but seconds later her objections had blanked out in delicious ecstasy and Cabe had proven she was in fact good at that and maybe it was just her earlier partners who’d been bad at that. After that she’d had no choice but to pursue more.

So the fact was she didn’t know an enormous amount about Cabe, beside the point he was conquering her in bed and she liked it, but that day she started learning more, and none of it came directly from Cabe.

After she started work later that morning she got her first Cabe call that wasn’t Cabe calling, but it was about him. It was Tess. Rusty had to mutter through the first part of Tess’ call because she had a fare in back and it was not professional to be just gabbing on her cell while driving a customer.
