Dear Readers
Wow, it has been a wonderful journey through the Land Of Eldwyn. I’ve enjoyed writing it so much, even when some of the characters made me grind my teeth (I’m looking at YOU, Bryton!).
The first book,
Myla
by
Moonlight
, began with Taric’s birth so I felt it was fitting to end the last book with his death. These books taught me that love is the ultimate power.
Salome
at
Sunrise
gave me a glimpse into the warrior soul that crafts the men of this world and it followed through in this book,
Time
Dancer
, learning how women do more than decorate a world, they shape it. No matter how mighty my warriors are, it is the women who make things happen. I think that’s an empowering message for all women.
When I started writing that first tale, I had no intentions of writing more in the Eldwynian world, but I received so many letters from readers saying how unique a female guardian was and saying how they couldn’t wait for the next book. I had to write more. Of course, some characters (I’m looking at YOU, Bryton!) just wouldn’t leave me alone, either. They demanded their stories be told.
I learned a lot about myself and my characters in these stories. Myla showed me that a woman could be stronger than a man and still be cherished. Salome showed me that just because you are small, doesn’t mean you don’t have strength. Darach showed me that there is always something more to learn. Even my villains, Marchen, Karok and in some ways Warric, taught me that every person has more than one dimension.
The side characters added so much: Queen Tarsha’s love that stretched from beyond death, Katina’s kindness, Balic’s dedication, Lunian’s compassion, Domic Gerog’s valor, Argot’s honor, Kya’s strength and Warric’s pain. They helped create this world and helped me deliver it to you. Every single character feels real to me and I hate to leave them. But as we learned, all magic has its end. The only thing that endures is love.
Thank you for taking the journey through Eldwyn with me.

Bryton Haruk sets out on a suicide mission to stop the bloodthirsty Skullmen from terrorizing the war-weary Land of Eldwyn. Consumed by guilt over the death of his wife, Bryton seeks revenge and reunion in the afterlife with his lost love. His purpose is determined, his bravery unmatched, until the queen casts a spell to save Bryton from himself.
Salome is that spell. A bird-shifter, she can harness the earth’s breeze and take the form of a beautiful, innocent woman. Her challenge is to harness Bryton’s pain and guide him to peace. She entrances and irritates him, tempting Bryton from his mission. Even as he gives in to the passion between them, Bryton insists on mounting a solo attack on the brigands’ compound, and Salome fears her love won’t be enough to save him...

About the Author
Inez Kelley spends most of her time in a cramped little office surrounded by a multitude of books, a few plastic geckos and her computer. The growing horde of dust bunnies, her children’s request for meals and a never-ending laundry pile vie for her attentions. As a former 911 dispatcher, she is used to calamity and doesn’t get too worried until either someone is bleeding or the fridge is empty. With one teenage daughter and growing twin boys, those things occur regularly.
