Alex kept his hands going cupping her
breasts. He thumbed her nipples, making her squirm on his lap. God
he loved this woman.

God you are so
amazing.”

Isa laughed shortly, “I was going to
say the same thing about you.” She stared into his eyes when she
took him inside of herself again, trying to show him the love she
felt.

I love you too,” he
whispered and smiled.

Isa felt tears fall as she held on to
him for dear life.

Chapter 33

It was the weekend after Isa and Alex
had come together. Alex had wasted no time in telling his family he
was in love with her, and they all insisted they come for another
visit.

Alex’s family was love-struck with
Isa. They all tried to get her attention and get to know more about
her. Even Penelope wanted to monopolize her. Marie and Coleen had
her cornered in the kitchen for at least half-an-hour before Alex
came searching for her. He walked in to them laughing at Coleen’s
story.

What are you talking
about?” Though he was pretty sure of the subject.

Never you mind.” Aunt
Marie shooed him away. Isa gave him a private smile and continued
listening.

He and his brothers had a video game
going in the living room. Now that March was here, almost April,
they were all trying to hurry spring along. They were an outdoor,
beer drinking, grilling family. Summer was their season. They even
went out and rented a boat and went fishing at the lake every once
in awhile.

Alex grabbed a few cold beers from the
fridge, and pecked Isa on the cheek before heading back to the
game. Their Dad sat in his recliner and tried to cheer them on,
though he wasn’t entirely sure what the game was about.

Matt’s wife, Sara, had just gotten
their daughter, Juno, up from her nap and she was a little cranky.
She took her into the kitchen with the others. Alex leaned back to
peer into the kitchen from his spot on the couch. Sara was handing
the baby to Isa who looked absolutely mesmerized by Juno. Alex felt
a throb under his heart at the sight. She was probably being
overwhelmed by memories of Anna right now. But Isa held Juno and
bounced her for awhile. Juno was grabbing Isa’s hair and laughing.
Isa’s smile lit up and Alex swore he saw what true beauty
was.

Something hit him on the head. “Ow!
What?”

Dude, pay attention.”
Brian said.

Leave him alone,” Mike
said.

Shut up. Not you Dad,”
Alex said, punching Brian with his knuckle on his thigh muscle.
Brain hissed and rubbed the spot. His father chuckled.

So, you two moved pretty
fast, huh?” Brian commented.

I suppose it was a little
fast, but when it’s right, it’s right.”

Brian looked at him for a long moment
and relaxed after seeing the truth in Alex’s face, “I’m happy for
you then. Isa’s great.”

Yea, she is,” Alex said
leaning back again to look at her in the kitchen. She caught him
looking this time and laughed. He gave her a toothy grin and turned
back to concentrate on the game.

The first warm day of the
year we’re having a barbeque,” Mike said. “You better bring Able
and Johnny, and anyone Isa wants to invite son.”

Alright Dad. Sounds
good.”

A few hours later, Alex and Isa were
ready to go but Coleen still had a hold of Isa’s arm. “So, I’ll
email you the itinerary for the wedding tonight.”

Great.”

You don’t be a stranger,”
Aunt Marie told her.

I won’t.”

See you later,” Alex
called out.

On the way home, Isa laid her chin on
Alex’s shoulder over the console staring at him in the semi-dark.
“They’re so amazing. You’re so lucky.”

I know I am. I found you
didn’t I?”

Isa laughed, “You’re such a
sap.”

Alex laughed with her, “I am not. I’m
romantic.”

Isa sighed in contentment and watched
the rearview mirror for awhile.

Anyone
following?”

No.” They had agreed not
to tell his family about the Jogging incident or the van, at least
not until much later when it could become a fun story to tell over
one too many beers.

Have you found anything
on that van?”

Not yet,” Isa said
frowning. Although it wasn’t completely true, but she wasn’t 100%
certain yet.

We haven’t
either.”

It wasn’t looking good for DeCarlo
though. “Who else would have sent someone to kill us? We know about
Carmine and the bodies. You think we need to talk to him
again?”

Probably.”

Let’s do it away from the
house. It gets to personal there.”

Inferno?”

Yea. I’ll call
him.”

Five minutes later Isa hung up. “He’s
meeting us there in two hours. Let’s go home and load for
bear.”

Right.”

They packed their bodies and the
office with guns and a few knives. Isa left the security to record
inside the office and Inferno as well as outside. She was just
double checking the gun she had placed at the small of her back
when Alex called from the window that they were there. They went
down together to let Rafael and Coltello in. They walked upstairs
is silence.

You called me bella, what
is it you want?”

I want to know if you
sent a van full of men with mini-Uzi’s to kill us the other
night.”

I have no idea what
you’re talking about.”

And you?” Isa turned to
Coltello who was standing guard at the door.

Coltello turned and looked at Isa as
if surprised she had spoken to him. Coltello didn’t speak just
remained standing.

Rafael studied Coltello the same as
Isa and he narrowed his eyes.

He choked out a strangled laugh. “You
did, didn’t you?”

Isa and Alex glanced at each other
preparing to fight if necessary.

No, don’t. He won’t
attack you,” Rafael said. “Not with me here.”

Why not?” Isa said not
taking her eyes off of Coltello.

Because he did not want
me to know he had ordered it in the first place.”

You,” Isa addressed
Coltello. “You said you admired my work so you know what I’m
capable of. Why would you provoke me?”

Coltello,” Rafael said
when he remained quiet.

I wanted to see how good
you were. If you would get hurt. If you could figure out it was me.
I didn’t particularly want them to kill you.”

And Alex?”

Coltello just stared.

He was in the car with
me.”

Coltello just shrugged that same shrug
Rafael used that meant everything and nothing.

Isa was still staring him down and she
was starting to get that tunnel vision that meant very bad things
for Coltello, but Rafael stepped in.

Alright, that’s enough.
Isa calm down.” He turned to Coltello, “And you. You will stop this
nonsense. We don’t go around trying to kill people just to see what
they’ll do. Especially people that I like.” Coltello nodded and
stepped back returning to his post by the door.

Rafael sighed and turned around, “I’m
sorry bella. He didn’t mean that the way it seems. He really truly
was just curious about you.” Rafael paced over and took Coltello’s
face between his hands shaking him slightly as if to say, ‘What am
I going to do with you.’

He turned back, addressing Isa, “My
brother can sometimes forget that violence isn’t always the best
way to play with others.”

Brother?”

Oh, yes. We have
different mothers.” Rafael was referring to Coltello’s light hair
and eyes as opposed to his dark ones. “There is a reason I keep him
by my side more than any other.”

Isa wanted to ask if there was
something wrong with his brother, but somehow couldn’t get the
words out. How do you ask someone if there brother is damaged in
the head right in front of that person without sounding
offensive?

Isa got up and walked over to them
while Alex remained watchful and ready for anything by the
couch.

She looked up in to Coltello’s face
trying to sense some sort of reasoning there. Finding nothing more
than a thick, blank wall she sighed and said, “If you want to know
about me,” she said gently, “all you have to do is ask. No more
surprises.”

Coltello gave one nod.

Rafael looked over at Isa, she could
see he wanted to tell her something, but he stayed
quiet.

Ok, well thank you for
coming and clearing that up.”

Alex just shook his head.

After they had gone, Alex was pissed.
“That guy needs to be locked up, they both do. God! Why do we
continue to let them get away with this shit?” They were back home
and Isa had been watching Alex pace off his mad in front of the
fireplace while she sat coolly with her legs crossed on the
couch.

Because we don’t know
what the Feds have going on them, or the NYPD. You can’t just step
in and arrest them on something like that and expect them to go to
jail for 30 years. It isn’t going to happen and you know
that.”

Alex heaved a frustrated sigh and
threw himself down on the couch next to her. She bounced a bit and
set her coffee down before it spilled. “There is definitely
something wrong with that guy,” Alex said referring to
Coltello.

I know. I wonder if he
would have become a serial killer if he didn’t already get the
chance to kill for the mafia.”

Well it’s a good place
for psychopaths.”

Yes it is.”

Rafael knows he’s not all
there. I saw it in his eyes earlier. I’m sure he usually does a
good job of keeping him on a leash.”

Usually isn’t going to
cut it. Not with him.”

Well there’s nothing we
can do about it right now.”

You’re right.”

Let’s go and get some
training in.”

Alex grinned at her, eager to learn
more, “After you,” he said standing up and offering a
bow.

You are such a
dork.”

I’m not a dork, I’m a
gentleman.” Isa reached up and threw her arms around his neck.
“You’re my dork.”

Alex grinned again, pulling her closer
for a kiss.

You know,” Isa said
pulling away slightly. “I think we can do some different training
tonight.”

Oh yeah what do you have
in mind?”

The Art of Seduction.”
Isa pulled back and started to back toward the stairs. She slowly
shimmied her pants down her legs. “It can be a very difficult thing
to do. Seducing someone you don’t know to try and get information.”
She kicked them off and smiled as Alex began following her, his
eyes glued to her legs.

Isa remained elusively out of reach,
dodging when he reached for her and continuing to strip as they
made their way to the bedroom. Alex’s dick twitched with every inch
of skin she exposed. He didn’t know how he was still standing
upright. She was killing him.

They finally made it to the bed and
Isa let Alex catch her. Falling down on the bed together, legs
tangling. Isa wasn’t teasing anymore and she had woken a beast in
Alex. He had been careful with her up until now, not wanting to
cause any dark memories from surfacing. But right now that was all
gone. He kissed her roughly, his stubble rubbing her skin raw. His
hands were still magic, but they moved over her more firmly, nearly
bruising when he pulled her hips towards him. She had never been so
turned on in her life. She didn’t know when the switch had been
thrown from playful seduction to heart rending lust.

Alex drove two fingers inside of her
and Isa shouted with pleasure, nearly coming up off the bed. How he
found that exact spot every time was beyond her. His lips attacked
her breasts harshly as he drove her up, not stopping until she came
with a scream. She flopped back down and lay there trying to catch
her breath, wondering where that had come from, but Alex didn’t
give her time. He was already shoving her legs aside. He buried
himself deep and hard with the first thrust, and Isa almost came
again. She couldn’t stop it though when he started long deep hard
thrusts that caused her eyes to lose focus. She was afraid she
might pass out any moment. She came again, longer this time and
Alex followed with a few short expletives as he buried himself to
the hilt inside her, and buried his face in her chest.

They lay there for a very long time
afterward, trying to catch their breath. He shifted onto his back
which took a lot of effort. Isa didn’t move a muscle.

He ran a hand down her stomach and she
shivered. He pulled the blankets over them, tucked her into his
side and they both fell asleep.
