“Feels good? You like that don’t you?” Nick crooned, drifting his other hand upwards as he now tugged on both buds, rubbing on the dark tips and making them throb harder.

“Yes. Oh lord…
yes
,” Keyonna moaned, dazed by how sensitive her nipples were to his passionate onslaught. On and on he teased her breasts, causing shocks of pleasure to pass through her frame as her spine arched off the counter top. He brought his mouth down on her pussy again and began a triple-threat foray by sucking, nibbling and licking on her clit and slit. It took barely half a minute as with just his tongue, Nick soon had her cumming so violently that she screamed out his name as her body splintered.

“That’s it, baby. Come hard for me,” growled Nick into her spurting cunt, his lust-thickened voice a trigger for another simultaneous orgasm ripping through her very womb. Keyonna shrieked as Nick lapped at her juices, her fingers pulling hard on his hair as she ground herself into his face. She’d never cum so powerfully in her life; her climax sweeping like a blanket of ecstasy over her senses, making her go blind and deaf and foolish all at the same time.

Nick lifted himself from her inner thighs only when the last tremor of ecstasy had left her frame. Keyonna was barely aware of being carried up from the counter and out of the kitchen. Moments later she felt the bed dip beneath their weight as Nick stretched out beside her on the cool sheets.

Keyonna instinctively turned to seek his lips and moaned when she tasted her essences in his kiss. His arms tightened around her as he groaned, settling her body half atop his. Keyonna felt the jutting length of his arousal against her stomach and she let out a soft whimper, her hand sliding down his shirted torso to close round his thick, throbbing shaft through his dark pants.

“Nick…,”she breathed against his lips, feeling confused when he took hold of her wrist and pulled her hand back up to rest on his chest. Her eyes flew up to his face questioningly, as his kisses on her lips, nose and forehead were light and soothing.

“But don’t you want to…,” Keyonna began, pausing when her cheeks got too warm from shyness.

“It’s okay,” Nick said softly, his hand skimming down to the small of her back and then up again, massaging her flesh and her senses. Keyonna wanted to purr, her eyelids drooping low despite themselves. Still stunned by her extraordinary orgasm, Keyonna melted into Nick’s solid frame, nuzzling her face in his shoulder and inhaling his calming, warm and manly scent. No man had so selflessly seen to her needs before and Keyonna’s heart swelled with appreciation even as her mind floated into a restful, fluffy sleep.

It was hours later, with day just peeking over the horizon that Keyonna felt Nick kiss her lips and then withdraw from the bed. Keyonna wanted to moan in protest at the loss of warmth, but then he covered her in the comforter before running his knuckles over the side of her face in a tender caress. Keyonna whined softly, vaguely sensing his long, warm stare before, on silent footfalls, he turned and left the bedroom, shutting the door carefully behind him.

Chapter Ten

Keyonna didn’t know a month could go so fast. One moment she’d been trying to extricate herself from a fizzled relationship, only to find herself bound into a marriage contract that was going to cost one year of her life. For the next twelve months, her time would be subjected to the will of another, and she had no one else to blame but herself.

The wedding took place just three days before Nick’s thirtieth birthday. Keyonna had as little to do with the preparations as possible – her choice. It was bad enough that she was being made to go through with the ceremony; she didn’t want to have to partake in the planning too. This was in no way how she’d wished her wedding to go; it was meant to be a dream match between two people in love and ready to spend the future together. In this case, love had nothing to do with it. Just cold, hard billions.

But then, Keyonna couldn’t deny that as the days had passed, things had felt less cold and less hard between her and Nick. She wasn’t sure when it started to happen, but she knew in her heart that she wasn’t as unmoved by Nick as she made out to be. She found herself looking forward to seeing him, or hearing his voice. The only thing she’d allowed herself have a say in was the wedding dress, an ivory creation that flowed over her body like a dream. At night, Keyonna dreamed of herself floating down the aisle in the beautiful gown, to find her groom waiting with love and admiration glowing in his dark, brown eyes…

To her chagrin, the face in the dream was always Nick. Keyonna thought of how much he’d rounded up his many business dealings to make time for the wedding as well as the honeymoon billed to last several weeks. Nick had picked the ultimate romantic getaway for them in Santorini, Greece.

Keyonna thought of spending endless hours with Nick enjoying the old-world beauty of the sandy beaches, craggy rock faces and white-washed churches of the Greek island and couldn’t imagine not falling deeper into his spell. It wasn’t enough that he’d broken down her walls and given her the insight into what it felt like to be pleasured by a man who knew what he was doing.

This gave her a promise of things to come but only if she was ready to give in completely. And Keyonna felt she had already given too much. Wouldn’t she be crazy to let Nick break through the last barrier?

Finally, the fateful hour arrived and Keyonna was dressed in her elegantly cut wedding gown. Knowing that her family was there with her, and many of her friends were also present gave her the courage to finally go through with the last hurdle of taking the vows and becoming Nick Vitale’s wife.

It was no surprise that the Press were making a meal of the whole occasion. It was far more quiet than the elaborate, high-society event that Rachel had undoubtedly had planned, but Keyonna couldn’t help noticing that no cost had been spared to ensure that every detail of the wedding had been carefully laid out, from the smallest bouquet to the massive, angelic-looking trellis which made a perfect backdrop to it all.

Keyonna clutched hard on her father’s arm as she walked with him down the aisle and for a moment, Keyonna closed her eyes and imagined this was her fairytale wedding. The beautiful cathedral was the perfect backdrop and it wasn’t hard at all to tell herself that this could all be real. Could be – but it wasn’t.

Nick wasn’t looking for a true romance and neither was she. This was just a contract based on terms that were clear-cut and simple. Marriage for a year, and then they could go their separate ways.

And yet, when she finally came to stand next to her handsome groom and looked into his warm eyes, Keyonna felt her chest constrict at unconcealed admiration she found there. He smiled as he took her hand, and Keyonna let out a hidden gasp as she realized just how deeply she’d fallen. She didn’t even know when, or how. But somewhere along the line, she’d lost her heart to Nick Vitale and now there was no escape; no going back.

***

The reception was as opulent as something out of a royal wedding. The photo session, the traditional cake-cutting, speeches and dancing…each element went as smoothly as clockwork, and the crowning portion of the day was the fabulous array of food and wine served to overflowing.

Now Keyonna stood next to Natasha, who had played the part of maid of honor. They were both sipping on champagne and giggling, the festivities going on around them as little children, prettily dressed, ran around while the gaily attired adults also had fun eating, drinking and chatting away.

Natasha squeezed on Keyonna’s arm and gave the bride a teasing wink. “So now that you’ve married Mr. Perfect; what’s next?”

Keyonna shrugged. “Right now it’s more a marriage of convenience – at least in Nick’s case. But now my new-found goal is to make him fall madly, completely in love with me.”

Natasha let out a groan. “Don’t tell me you’re smitten with him already? Not good, babe, not good. I know you, Keyonna; when you’re in love you do crazy shit. I can’t imagine what you have in store for Nick but something tells me…he’s going to have a hard time resisting. And hey, he’s actually looking this way right now. Over there.”

Keyonna turned in the direction Natasha indicated and met Nick’s deep, dark gaze. He excused himself from the couple he’d been talking to and strode up to where the two friends stood. Natasha squeezed Keyonna’s hand and with one last wink, glided away.

“Keyonna,” said Nick thickly when he reached her side. “Dear wife - have I told you how ravishing you look today?”

Keyonna smiled, taking in the teasing tone in the new endearment and judging from the blaze in his eyes, she knew he wasn’t completely joking.

“Hmm…about a hundred times,” she said drily and instinctively lifted her cheek for his kiss.

Drawing back a moment later, Nick laughed. “I never pictured myself as much of a romantic groom, but there’s something in the air today and I feel very much like sweeping you away on that month-long honeymoon of ours.”

Keyonna’s eyes widened. “Is it for that long?”

Nick’s gaze felt like a laser beam running over her honey-tinted skin bared by her strapless white gown. “If I had my way, it would be for even longer. But before we get to leave, there’s someone I want you to meet.”

Keyonna’s brows lifted quizzically, especially when Nick seemed almost reluctant as he explained, “My stepmother. She missed the wedding ceremony, but I’m hoping she’ll make it here soon. She’s supposed to be arriving from her holiday in Tuscany by now.”

“Then we’ll wait,” Keyonna said firmly, warmed by the possessive glint in his dark eyes. He always made her feel desirable, and sexy. She wondered if he knew that he only had to look at her, and her pussy began to twitch and steep in its own juices.

Nick bent to whisper in her ear, and Keyonna went still as his words spilled sensually over her. “We may have a long flight ahead, but trust me once we arrive at our destination nothing is going to stop me from making slow, endless love to you. I’m going to love watching you squirm and beg for me to stop – then beg for me not to stop. Claiming you is going to be one hell of a pleasure, sweet wife.”

Keyonna let out a delicate cough, placing a hand over her now heated neck and hoping the whole world couldn’t see how his whispered words had been her shiver all over.

Nick chuckled, stealing a quick kiss from her lips and drawing back. “I’ll be right back,” he promised, before he turned and strode off. Keyonna watched him go with a look of longing and adoration she didn’t bother to hide now that his back was turned. She was in too deep; she could no longer deny it. And she didn’t feel ready to pull out, not unless Nick was right next to her, hand-in-hand in love’s journey of a lifetime.

“So, you really do love him.”

Keyonna spun round abruptly at the sound of that familiar female voice. Her eyes widened when she saw Trisha standing there. Keyonna really was surprised; she’d sent an invitation to Mark’s family but had never thought anyone would actually come.

Instead of reacting to Trisha’s strange statement, Keyonna asked the younger girl curiously, “You came alone?”

“Yes,” said Trisha with a shrug of her shoulders. She was dressed in a flattering tailored dress in deep plum which set off her caramel skin nicely. Her straightened dark hair blew gently in the breeze and around her somewhat rounded face.

“I guess I had to see for myself if you really were going to get married. You know, Keyonna…I’d never have believed it possible that you’d be much of the publicity-hungry type. And yet in just one month you’ve turned from just an everyday career girl into the “Beautiful Vitale Bride”. Not my words, mind you – I got that quote from Majesty magazine. You granted them an interview last week.”

“I remember,” Keyonna murmured wryly. She hadn’t wanted to do the piece, but Nick insisted – as usual. It was all part of the exposure expected to showcase her now that she was to carry the Vitale name, he’d explained. Unlike some of the other spreads out there, Majestic magazine was actually one of the classiest and Keyonna felt sure no damage to her reputation would be risked. Thankfully, the questions were basically about the wedding, who designed her gown, the cost of the rings and only a bit about how they’d met. Keyonna of course had talked this out with Nick and their story was that they’d met through work and the romance had blossomed from there. No mention was made of Nick’s recently broken engagement to Rachel. And Keyonna couldn’t deny she’d had fun with the photo shoot where she’d been made to try on several gorgeous gowns, all designer made.

Now, Keyonna kept her smile in place and viewed Trisha with a watchful gaze. “It’s really nice of you to show up today. You were the last person I’d have expected to be here.”

Trisha’s lips lifted in an equally thin smile. “Like I said, I just had to make quite certain that it was true and not just some joke. But then I watched Nick place the ring on your finger so…”

Her smile seemed almost genuine as she added with satisfaction, “Well, at least now it gives me a chance with the man I love.”

Keyonna frowned. “You mean Mark?”

Trisha merely smirked, her eyes turning cold. “Years ago I watched you ensnare him in your net. When he joined the military and left the country a part of me felt almost glad that he was out of your reach. I’d hoped he’d forget all about you but instead, he returns and proposes to you,” Trisha muttered with a bitter twist of her lips.
