Tommy's hips shot off the seat and he moved
them in rhythm with her hand, then he groaned and jerked the packet
from her. Shoving his jeans and boxers down past his hips, Tommy
quickly tore the packet open with his teeth, then sheathed himself,
and grated in a tense voice, "Since you're the expert on car sex
here, how the hell do we do this?"

Katie's eyebrows rose and she pulled back
from him a little and gave him a lopsided grin. "You really have
never had sex in a car?" she asked him incredulously.

"Nope, you're the first...I got married when
I was twenty-one sugar, and didn't have a lot of experience when I
did," he admitted and his face flushed, before he looked down, as
if he was embarrassed.

Katie stroked him again, then said softly,
"Well, we're gonna have to do something about that then." She
reversed her position, then straddled him again facing the
windshield, then reached between them and positioned herself over
his steely length. Slowly, she slid herself down on him and moaned
when he slipped inside her. She stopped and savored the stretching
sensation and circled her hips. He groaned and his fingers dug into
her hips and pulled her further down on him.

In between short gasping breaths he said,
"Lord, that feels so good..." and a tremor moved through him, then
he jerked her down as his hips shot upward and he was fully inside
of her. His thighs tensed between her legs and he held her tightly
against him for a second. When she tried to move her hips, his
fingers dug deeper into her flesh and he moaned, "Sit still for a
minute, sugar...or it might be over before we get started."

After a second, he eased back onto the seat
and took her with him, so their bodies were flush together. Katie
circled her hips several times, the tension inside of her ramping
up with each rotation. She grabbed the dashboard and lifted off of
him, then slowly slid back down, and mewled her pleasure at how
deliciously he stretched her inner muscles, and filled her. "God,
you're right, this is incredible," she gasped and did it again.

He spread her thighs farther, and moved his
hand around her to her core. Finding her pleasure center, he
massaged her there, and she wailed "Oh, god, Tommy..." then leaned
back against him savoring the extreme sensations pulsing through
her.

Turning her head, she nipped his earlobe,
then sucked it between her lips, and his breathing hitched, then
she licked his neck and put a kiss right behind his ear, and
whispered softly, "You taste so damned good...feel so damned
good."

His muscular chest heaved against her back
and she saw a fine sheen of sweat dampen his face, felt the
dampness of his chest against her back. After a lick to his jaw,
and a kiss to the corner of his mouth, Katie leaned forward and
grabbed the dash again, then began moving her hips up and down his
length, sliding in a rhythm that brought her closer and closer to
the promise of release that hovered just outside of her
consciousness. Tommy's fingers increased their rhythm between her
legs, and she increased her pace.

With every downward motion, he lifted up to
meet her, slamming against her and increasing the friction between
them, ramping up her need. Her heart was bouncing around inside her
chest, like it wanted out, and it felt like her blood was
radioactive in her veins, it burned in every corner of her body,
screaming for release.

She panted and moaned, then Tommy said in a
low tense tone, "Come for me, baby...I want to feel you around me,
you're so tight...wet...oh, my god, Mag--" his body tensed at the
same time as hers, and she shouted, all of the tension inside of
her knotting in her chest then exploding outward in bright
beautiful waves of incredible pleasure, that floated over her body
like silk scarves.

Katie leaned her head against her folded
arms on the dashboard, and just sat there a moment, until her
trembling stopped. When the sexual fog that had seized her her
brain cleared, tears filled her eyes and she stood up then stepped
over his legs and sat down.

"Take me back to the ranch," she told him
flatly, as she reached for her shorts and pulled them on, then
grabbed her shirt and hastily did up the buttons.

"I'm sorry, Katie..." he told her in a dark
tortured voice then shoved a hand through his hair.

"Oh, so you do remember my name," she
grated, then told him angrily, "Take me back to the ranch, Tommy,"
then ran her hands through her hair. When he didn't move, she slid
over and cranked the truck, and slammed it into drive. He fell
against the passenger door, when she swung the truck around to head
that way.

"What the fuck are you doing?!?" he yelled,
then reached down and jerked up his jeans, and then buttoned his
shirt.

"I'm going back where I should have stayed
in the first place," she told him then shot him an angry glare.
"You have some serious issues, and I don't need 'em. Word of
advice," she said then glared at him again, "When you're fucking a
woman, don't fantasize it's your dead wife...that's kind of a turn
off, asshole...not to mention pretty damned morbid."

"I'm sorry, Katie...I haven't ever done that
before...and I wasn't fantasizing it was her," he said in a
strangled voice.

"Yeah, right. One day, you'll either crawl
into that grave with her, or bury her...that's the day you can have
a life," she grated, then slammed her foot on the accelerator and
the truck shot down the road.

"Slow, down, Katie..." he said then gripped
the dashboard with white knuckles.

"I can't get back to the ranch soon enough
to suit me," she said then sped up a little more, her own knuckles
white on the steering wheel. The truck zoomed over the asphalt and
she leaned forward to see the road better in the high beams of the
headlights. She hit a pothole and bounced on the seat, then swerved
a little, and Tommy slid on the seat toward her.

"Slow the fuck down!" he demanded loudly,
then his hand shot across the cab to grip her thigh.

Katie swerved again and took one hand off
the wheel to move his hand off her leg. "Get your fucking hands off
of me...don't ever touch me again," she said in a whimper, and she
felt tears burning her eyes.

"Calm down, and slow down, Katie," he said
then reached over and ran a finger over her jaw, "I'm sorry,
Katie...please forgive me."

Tears burned hot tracks down her cheeks, as
she focused on the road, but told him, "Not a chance...use this as
a lesson though, so you don't repeat it with the next girl crazy
enough to want to be with you," she said in a voice bordering on
hysteria.

"I don't want anyone else, Katie...I want
you," he told her in a choked voice. "You're the first woman I've
wanted like this in ten years."

"Sure have a fine way of showing it,
Jason
," she said meanly.

"Jason?" he asked in confusion.

"My last boyfriend...he was pretty good at
the car sex thing," she told him nastily, then added, "He taught me
a lot."

Jason taught a lot of girls things, because
he was a charming asshole, who couldn't keep it in his pants. She
found the handsome bull rider in his trailer with not one, but two
girls, one night after a show, and that was that on her budding
feelings for that butthead.

Tommy growled and slammed his hand on the
dashboard and she jumped when he yelled, "Don't fucking do this to
me, Katie!"

"What?" she said innocently, then grated,
"Hurt you like you hurt me? That was inexcusable, Tommy Tucker." It
was like he'd put his fist inside her chest and grabbed her heart
when he'd called out his wife's name when he'd climaxed. Nothing in
her life had ever hurt her more, even when her parents had dumped
her on Uncle Jerry's doorstep.

Katie's foot pressed down on the accelerator
a little more, and Tommy tensed up beside her on the seat and said
in a broken whisper, his eyes wide with fear and suspiciously
bright, "Please, slow down..."

She huffed out a breath and eased her foot
off the pedal, and he relaxed a little, and leaned back against the
seat. She didn't say anything else to him, until she stopped in
front of the ranch house and shut off the engine.

"Goodbye, Tommy...I hope you work out your
problems," she said then reached for her backpack. Her anger had
subsided a little bit during the drive, but the aching pain in her
chest hadn't. It would be a long time before she got over this
pain. "Can you help unload my bike," she asked him flatly, then
opened the door and slid to the ground. He got out of the other
side of the truck, and walked to the back, then let down the
tailgate, but didn't move to put the ramp down.

He just stood there with his shoulders stiff
for a minute, his head downcast, then he hugged himself and she saw
his shoulders were shaking. Even though Katie was still pissed at
him, and more than hurt, she couldn't stand seeing anyone else in
pain, and it was obvious that Tommy was having a breakdown of some
sort.

Tentatively, she stepped forward and put her
hand on his shoulder, "You okay?" she asked with concern.

He took a deep shuddering breath then threw
his head back and sucked in another one, before he let it out
slowly and nodded. Reaching into the truck, he pulled down the
ramp, and hopped up into the bed, then released the kickstand, and
rolled the bike backwards to the edge, before he got down and
rolled it down to the ground. Tommy pushed the bike over away from
the truck and parked it, then went back and shoved the board into
the back, and shut the tailgate.

Without looking at her, and without another
word, careful to keep his back to her, he walked to the driver's
door and got inside, then cranked the truck and hauled ass down the
driveway, leaving a trail of dust in his tail lights. Katie stood
there with her hands on her hips watching him leave, feeling guilty
for what she'd done, which pissed her off. He'd deserved it, but
he'd lost his wife, even if it was ten years ago, she had to feel
some compassion for him. He was a young man, and definitely worthy
of love, she sure hoped he figured out how to move forward, or he
was going to be a lonely old man.

CHAPTER FIVE

Katie and Karlie hadn't lost their touch,
that was for sure. Even with only a few days practice, they were in
first place going into the team roping finals tomorrow. And
somehow, even after that asshole, Sonny Jessup, had attacked her
earlier in the parking lot, she was the leader in the barrel racing
competition too. Thank God, Wade had come along when he had, or it
could have been a lot worse.

She'd seen a lot of friends here today, even
Jason, who apologized all over himself for being such a jerk. He'd
groveled so nicely, she'd agreed to have a drink with him, after
they got done tonight. Katie needed a drink...but there was no way
she was going to go any further with him...that ship had sailed
with two busty blonds.

Karlie, Gabe and Beau had left, and so had
Wade and Jess. Karlie was the last one of her group at the arena,
and she was hauling her stuff to a temporary locker, so she could
go find Jason. Katie hefted her saddle above her head, to put it on
a shelf, and a hand reached over her shoulder and gave it a push to
help, then it traveled down her arm to her waist. Goosebumps raised
the hair on her arms, and she turned around warily, and met Jason's
blue eyes, and sexy grin.

He pushed his hat back on his head, then
leaned in toward her and put his hands on her hips, before he
covered her mouth with his. Katie put her hands on his chest to
push him away, but he held her too tight, and ground his body and
his mouth against her. She was trapped between him and the locker,
and there wasn't a damned thing she could do, she couldn't even
bring her knee up between them.

Someone cleared their throat behind them,
but she couldn't see around his broad shoulders to see who it was.
He broke the kiss and grinned at her, then pulled back and slipped
his arm around her waist.

"What the hell do you want, can't you see
we're busy?" Jason said roughly to Tommy who stood there with a
stunned and angry expression on his pinched face. His hazel eyes
were filled with hurt and a multitude of other emotions she
couldn't decipher.

Tommy's face turned red, then he swallowed
twice, before he said in a gruff voice, "My daughter wanted to see
Katie, before we left, but I think we've seen enough." He gave
Katie a hard look, then put his arm around Dixie's shoulders and
turned his back on her to stalk back down the hall.

"Tommy, Wait!" she yelled and took off after
them, but he didn't stop. He kept shuffling Dixie down the hall
toward the exit, and Katie kept running after them. When she pulled
up beside them, she grabbed his arm and said, "Tommy, wait...I can
explain."

"No need, Katie," he said gruffly, then
shoved the bar on the exit door and pushed it open, then strode
across the darkened parking lot toward his truck. He didn't want to
hear a fucking thing she had to say...he was done. Done with
trying, done with chasing her, just done...evidently, she wasn't
the woman he thought she was. Seeing that guy's hands all over her,
and her panting, while he kissed her right in the middle of the
hallway, just a week after he'd made love to her in the truck, told
him all he needed to know about her.
